Uber Super Lesbian Rosie O’Donnell hosted Mike Fuckabee Huckabee on her SiriusXM show yesterday to grill him about his recent outrageous “children are not puppies” statement of opposition to gay adoption.
It’s a good listen especially since Fuckabee Huckabee tries to justify his bigotry with an ideal that doesn’t exist.
Pulaski County Circuit Court Judge Chris Piazza said in a two-page ruling Friday that people in ‘non-marital relationships’ are forced to choose between becoming a parent and sustaining that relationship. ‘Due process and equal protection are not hollow words without substance,’ Piazza said. ‘They are rights enumerated in our constitution that must not be construed in such a way as to deny or disparage other rights retained by the people.’
Piazza, a former prosecutor, agreed with claims by families who said the ban lessened the number of available adoptive and foster parents to the point where thousands of children could go without homes. He said the ban cast ‘an unreasonably broad net’ and did not serve the state’s interest. The American Civil Liberties Union sued the state in December 2008 on behalf of a group of families seeking to overturn the ban. Voters approved the measure in November 2008, two years after the Arkansas Supreme Court overturned a policy by state child welfare officials that blocked gays from being foster parents.
Huzzah for activist judges who do crazy things like enforcing the Constitution as they are told to do by the Constitution!

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee went to Iowa Wednesday to support the gubernatorial candidacy of businessman Bob Vander Plaats,who is a heinous and the vociferous opponent of gay marriage and gay rights
Speaking to a crowd of about 100 like minded homophobic assholes at a fundraiser for the Iowa Family PAC, the political action committee managed by the Iowa Family Policy Center Action, a group that opposes gay rights, Huckabee called Vander Plaats an ideal candidate. (Where I would ideally call him “Satan”)
While all Republican Iowa gubernatorial candidates have sided with social conservatives who are rankled
at Democratic leaders for blocking a resolution calling for an amendment in the Iowa constitution that would ban gay marriage and reverse last year’s state Supreme Court order legalizing the institution, Vander Plaats, who often speaks about the issue at anti-gay marriage rallies, has a padlock on the issue. He’s pledged, if elected, to halt gay weddings with an executive order until the issue is decided by voters. Most analysts have said such a move would not be legal.
“Having been a governor for 10 and a half years, I think I know something about the qualities that make for a good governor. I find every one in Bob,” Huckabee said. (I suppose that means he’ll pardon someone who’ll go out and kill some cops in the future, eh Fuckabee?)
Huckabee, a former Baptist ministe, and current asshole does not believe gays should be allowed to serve in the military and supports a constitutional amendment defining marriage as a heterosexual union and in November, he told CBS’ Katie Couric that if you alter marriage to include gay couples “then there is really no limit” to how it might be defined and suggested polygamy would soon follow.
