LGBT Hate Group Mass-Resistance BANNED from CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference)

Mass-Resistance, the anti-LGBT hate group which calls itself “a pro-family organization that supports combating the radical LGBT agenda in schools”, has been banned from the exhibit hall at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) to be held next week.

Mass-Resistance,states that its application to exhibit at CPAC was originally accepted on January 29 after the vetting process.

“But last week CPAC Executive Director Dan Schneider notified Mass-Resistance that the decision has been reversed. MassResistance states that it was because of thier Biblical approach to fighting the “culture war” (particularly the transgender agenda in public schools). Not the fact that as far as hate groups go they are the lowest of the low and only a half-step above The Westboro Baptist Chruch.

At a 2006 religious right gathering in Washington, D.C., Brian Camenker the leader of Mass-Resistance and his hate group insisted that gays were trying to get legislation passed to allow sex with animals. “One bill in Massachusetts takes away all the penalties for bestiality,” he claimed. “This is where this [homosexual] agenda is going.” A little later, he added, “They [gays and lesbians] are pushing perversion on our kids.”

In 2006-2007, Mass-Resistance pushed for an amendment of the 1996 statute that would have required that parents be notified of any discussion of gay or lesbian issues in the schools. The group proposed language that lumped sexual orientation (which includes heterosexuality, homosexuality and bisexuality) in with criminal behaviors like bestiality and polygamy. During legislative testimony supporting the amendment, Camenker falsely claimed that no homosexuals died in the Holocaust and that the pink triangle the Nazis forced imprisoned gays to wear actually signified Catholic priests. The amendment did not pass.

Mass-Resistance has long focused on the purported “homosexual agenda” in the schools and frequently claimed gays are dangerous to kids, has repeatedly cited discredited claims from organizations like the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality that link homosexuality and pedophilia and has called Boston Gay Pride events a “depraved” display that featured “a great deal of obviously disturbed, dysfunctional, and extremely self-centered people whose aim was to push their agenda.”

Staver complained that GuideStar has gone from “a neutral entity” to a left-wing “political activist organization” under its president, Jacob Harold.

“Because of his liberal political activism, he decided to partner with the SPLC and slap these labels on [organizations],” Staver said. “You have to ask yourself, why did he do it? Why was he trying to do it? What was his motivation? It’s very clear what his motivation was. His motivation in terms of what he said, what they did, how they did it is to harm these nonprofits, to put, essentially, if you will, a Star of David on them like the Nazis did to the Jews. Wanted to isolate them, identify them, and ultimately economically boycott them.”

Staver’s insane rant of labeling the Liberty Counsel and other similar anti-LGBT organizations “hate groups” and comparing them to the persecution Jews faced in Nazi Germany, comes one month after a federal judge dismissed a lawsuit by them against GuideStar, a charity information website, after GuideStar began including information about groups that have been designated as “hate groups” by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Organizations listed as anti-LGBT hate groups “use dehumanizing language and pseudo-scientific falsehoods to portray LGBT people as, for example, sick, evil, perverted, and a danger to children and society — or to suggest that LGBT people are more likely to be pedophiles and sexual predators,” notes the SPLC’s website. “Some anti-LGBT hate groups support the criminalization of homosexuality in the United States and abroad, often marshaling the same debunked myths and demonizing claims in their efforts.” Simply opposing marriage equality or considering homosexuality a sin is not enough to merit a hate group label, the SPLC adds.

SPLC’s list of anti-LGBT hate groups includes the Family Research Council, American Family Association, Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, Mission: America, Mass Resistance, Alliance Defending Freedom, and many other familiar names. Liberty Counsel, besides being on the list itself, has provided legal representation to some of the other groups or their leaders, such as Scott Lively of Abiding Truth Ministries and Andrea Lafferty of the Traditional Values Coalition, in addition to representing antigay county clerk Kim Davis, anti–marriage equality judges, and practitioners of “ex-gay” therapy.

Last night I published a quick post about the police brutality, hate and violence experienced by Occupy Boston protesters which occureed at the Boston Tea Party’s Partiot’s Day Rally on Boston Commons yesterday which featured anti-gay hate group leaders Scott Lively and Brian Caremaker.

Today I recieved an email from the Occupty Boston  protestor pictured above who became a victim of brutality at the hands of the BPD. They recount the details of the event and the anti-LGBT hate of the Tea Party:

Hey,

I’m in a bit of an adrenaline crash right now, so I’m not sure how well I can give a full account of what happened today. There were at least 5 independent groups protesting against the rally today, two  of which was Occupy Boston Queer and Trans Direct Action Working Group

We had plans to “Mic Check” the event, with some language about how their supposed “family values” actually destroy families that have LGBT members in them etc. Some of us were dressed up, others were attempting to go “stealth”. I was one of the “dressed up” people — wearing a wig, glitter, some make up, and a black bandana over my face. We were in the crowd ready to mic check when the Antifa group came marching in carrying a banner, chanting about women’s rights. I think they were more protesting the Tea Party in general as being a neo-fascist group rather than specifically protesting the anti-LGBT hate groups being represented.

Anyway, a Tea Partier grabbed their banner, an altercation developed, and the Occupy Boston  groups started  chanting “FASCISTS OUT”, as the Tea Partiers chanted “USA! USA!” (oh the irony…)

Two of our protesters were arrested, and I moved away from the crowd to show solidarity with them and follow as they were arrested.  After that, I moved back into the crowd, and a Tea Partier knocked the wig off my head. I picked it up said to him “Why do you think it’s okay to knock my wig off my head?”. He replied “Oh, my hand slipped”.

 I was going to continue talking to him but then the officer in the picture approached me and said “okay, take your shit and get out of here”, shoving me back. I said to him “Don’t shove me.” He then said “Don’t shove you!?” and then choked me, for a short period of time. My comrades reacted pretty quick, taking those pictures, getting his badge number, etc. He was rough with several other people, grabbing one of my comrades’ phone out of his hand when he tried to take a picture etc.

I moved back and joined the main group of people — all the disparate groups had formed a single large group to chant en masse. This went on for a while. Our group eventually started marching in a circle chanting at the homophobes, things like “RACIST, SEXIST, ANTI-QUEER / YOU CAN’T MAKE US LIVE IN FEAR” “PREACH LOVE, NOT HATE”. 

One of my comrades from was arrested for holding up a vial of fake blood in the faces of tea partiers — symbolic of the blood of all the LGBT people who are murder and driven to suicide because of their hate.

At this point, I left the rally to do jail support for my 3 arrested comrades.

I am not sure what happened after I left.

I think we can finally put to bed the lies that the Tea Party has been telling us for these past few years that they are all only about “fiscal responsibility”. 

Violence & Police Brutality Erupt At Tea Party Event Featuring Anti-Gay Scott Lively

Reports of violence and police brutality are trickling in concerning Occupy Boston’s counter protest against homophobia at The Boston Tea Party’s Patriots’ Day Rally on Boston Commons today.

Among the Tea Party’s  featured speakers were the anti-gay MassResistance’s Brian Camenker, Abiding Truth Ministry’s Scott Lively, and Don Feder (who once described himself as making Atilla the Hunn look like a “a limousine liberal”) were listed as featured speakers.

Lively’s Abiding Truth Ministries is classified as a certified hate group by the Souther  (What n Poverty Law Center. And Lively himself has has called for the criminalization of “the public advocacy of homosexuality”, is directly linked to pending Anti-Gay Legislation in Uganda, and is co-author of The Pink Swastika, which states in the preface that “homosexuals the true inventors of Nazism and the guiding force behind many Nazi atrocities.”

Not much is known at this time but it appears that and some members of Occupy Boston were harassed and roughed up by Boston Tea Party members by Boston Tea Party members with at lleast one BPD officer (badge number 4534)  becoming quite violent and choaking a young trans avtivist who was  holding  nothing but a pink wig in their hands.
