LA's Grove Bans Anti-Gay Boxer Manny P

Anti-gay boxer Manny Pacquiao decided to take a break from training in Los Angeles for his upcoming bout against Timothy Bradley by catching a movie at the Grove retail and entertainment complex with members of his *snort* entourage.   The Grove’s owner who was later notified that Pacquiao was in the shopping center using some Amazon discounts, has BANNED Pacquiao from ever coming back on the property again  because of his comments comparing gay people to animals and quoting a biblical verse on Instagram that declares homosexual acts to be punishable by death 

“Manny Pacquiao is no longer welcome,” Grove owner Rick Caruso declared.  “These are statements of hatred.  A lot of people from the gay community come to the Grove and they have a right not to feel uncomfortable.”

Now there will be howls from people who say that isn’t this the same thing as refusing to serve a gay couple and sell them a wedding cake or service.  No it is not. The Groves owner is not banning him because he claims it’s his religious beliefs. They’re banning him individually because he is justifying violence against a class of people. They’re not banning a class of people, they’re banning HIM. They are well within their right to protect and shield their from customers from harassment and possible danger.

WWE wrestling superstar and cast member of Marvel’s Galaxy of the Guardians Dave Bautista is pissed off at anti-gay boxer Manny Pacquiao for calling gays and lesbians “animals”.  You see Bautista’s mother just happens to be a lesbian.

“So my opinion on that is he’s a fucking idiot. My mom happens to be a lesbian so I don’t fucking take that shit. I don’t think it’s funny. If anyone called my mother an animal I’d stick my foot in his ass….That’s his opinion, but I’m saying I don’t appreciate it.”

Nike dumped Pacquiao on Wednesday after the boxer-turned-politician sort of apologized for his remarks but less than 24 hours later Pacquiao posted a message to Instagram citing a verse from Leviticus which calls for men who have sex with men to be put to death.

“What I am saying is right. I mean I am just stating the truth, what the Bible says…I’m happy. I’m always happy because God is with me.”

The statement caused swift reaction from the sports world, with Magic Johnson vowing to never watch a Pacquiao fight again.

Said Johnson:

“I applaud Nike for terminating Manny Pacquiao’s contract after his derogatory statements that gay people are worse than animals. Fans of all walks of life including gay fans supported May/Pac fight putting $100M in his pocket. I guess to him their money is still green. I won’t be watching another.

While Pacquiao’s Nike contract has been terminate he is still slated for a major fight at the end of April which many are calling upon to be cancelled. 

This website has called upon “Wonderful Pistachios” to pull all Manny Pacquiao commercials from the air.   Wonderful Pistachios” responded:  We’re not currently affiliated with Pacquiao nor do his views align with ours. We support diversity & marriage equality.  But they have not agreed to pulling the commercials as of this posting.

Boxing Champ Floyd Mayweather Rope-A-Dopes Anti Gay Manny Pacquiao: “I support gay marriage.”

Boxing champion Floyd Mayweather is squaring off against the anti-gay boxer Manny Pacquiao recently told the country’s National Conservative Examiner how he really felt toward U.S. President Barack Obama’s public endorsement of same-sex marriage’s American legalization by stating “If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.”

Mayweather a five-division world champion, who has won seven world titles, and is a two-time winner of The Ring “Fighter of the Year” award isn’t standing for it and has  released a counter-statement on Twitter stating:  “I stand behind President Obama and support gay marriage, I”m an American citizen and I believe people should live their life the way they want.”.

Pro Boxer Manny Pacquiao Stands Behing His Gay Hate Speech – Tell NIKE To Stop Sponsoring PacMan!

Yesterday many newsites reported about Manny Pacquiao a pro boxer who nobodys ever heard ofnever heard of  who slammed President Obama by calling for homosexuals to be put to death.

LA Weekly  originally reported:

Manny Pacquiao, who lives and trains in Los Angeles, is probably in deep shit in this liberal city of brotherly love. That’s because the boxing champion said that gay men “must be put to death.” Really. In a recent interview with the National Conservative Examiner the fighter quoted the Bible in relaying his feelings about President Obama’s support for same-sex marriage: “If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.” Um. Okay. He was quoting Leviticus 20:13. Pacquiao also said: “God only expects man and woman to be together and to be legally married, only if they so are in love with each other. It should not be of the same sex so as to adulterate the altar of matrimony, like in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah of Old.”

Okay so some unknown Boxer is a punch drunk religious extremist.  (He’s also ugly as sin also.)  But now it turns out that NIKE sponsors this anti-gay piece of trash.

But wait!   Pacquiao, also know as PacMan responded to the criticism following yesterday’s newspaper interview, but he doesn’t apologize.

“I only voiced out my opinion that same-sex marriage is against the law of God. I’m not against homosexuals. I have a relative who is also gay. We cannot do anything if they were born that way. What I do not want is when you disobey the commandment of God.”

Now NIKE is a very LGBT friendly company that even went on record in support of Referendum 71 which extended the rights and obligations of domestic partnership in Washington.  Nike has made a very clear statement that they are in support of equal rights for all.

The Courage Campaign, which has launched a petition drive calling for Nike to end their endorsement deal with Pacquaio and we here at Back2Stonewall have signed and encourage all of you to sign and forward the link to all your friends and family.

Its time to give Pacquaio the ole “rope-a-dope”.
