HIV+ Man Sentenced To Life In Prison For Deliberately Infecting Grindr Hook-Ups

The Guardian reports:

A hairdresser has been handed a life sentence with a minimum term of 12 years at Brighton crown court after deliberately trying to infect 10 men with HIV. Daryll Rowe, 27, from Brighton, showed no emotion as he was sentenced for five charges of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and five of attempting to do so.

After being diagnosed in April 2015 in his home city of Edinburgh, Rowe met men on the gay dating app Grindr and had sex with eight of them in Brighton, East Sussex, between October that year and February 2016, before fleeing to the north-east where he went on the run from police, targeting two more men

Other sources report that Rowe would tell his hoook-ups that he was free of the virus, and then would use deliberatelytampered condoms to infect them.

Afterwards, Rowe would taunt of his victims in text messages. He told one: “I have HIV. Lol. Whoops!”

The judge, Christine Henson QC, told Rowe he had acted “with the full knowledge of the risk you posed to others” in a “deliberate campaign to infect other men” with HIV. “Unfortunately for five of the men you met, your campaign was successful.”

Sentencing him on Wednesday, the judge told him: “Many of those men were young men in their 20s at the time they had the misfortune to meet you. Given the facts of this case and your permissive, predatory behaviour, I cannot see when you would no longer be a danger to gay men. In my judgment, the offences, taken together, are so serious that a life sentence is justified.”

Neo Nazi John Ditullio Sentenced To Life Imprisionment For Murder of Gay Florida Teenager – Video

Florida neo-Nazi John Ditullio who had his facial tattoos covered up in court to the tune of one-hundred-fifty taxpayer dollars a day, was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison for the March 2006 murder of 17-year-old gay teen Kristofer King, who was the friend of the son of Patricia Wells, who was also attacked in her mobile home because she was friends with a black man.
It took jurors 11 hours to come back with first-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder convictions for Ditullio, and 30 minutes to decide that Ditullio should spend the rest of his life in prison.

Ditullio stabbed Kristofer King in the skull, twice, with a knife while King was using the computer. Prosecutors argued he killed King because he was gay. Ditullio, who had stormed into Wells’ mobile home wearing a gas mask, also turned the knife on Wells, slicing her face hands and arms; miraculously she managed to escape by fleeing into the bedroom. Ditullio did not appreciate Wells’ friendship with a person of color.

During the sentencing hearing, Ditullio opted not to wear make-up; he wanted the judge to see his swastika tats
