Forget The Eyes of Tammy Faye! WATCH: Fall From Grace (1980) Starring: Kevin Spacey and Bernadette Peters as Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker [FULL Movie]

Fall from Grace is a 1990 television film about the lives of Jim Bakker and his then-wife, Tammy Faye Bakker, during the 1980s, starring Kevin Spacey (OMG) and the FABULASH (Gay Saint) Bernadette Peters in their lead roles. The film aired on NBC on April 29, 1990, as well as occasional reruns in later years on the Lifetime Movie Network so you know it’s got to be…… good.

Peters, as Tammy, sings several gospel songs throughout the movie, including “Mercy Rewrote My Life”, “Amazing Grace”, “God Rides on the Wings of Love”, and “His Eye Is on the Sparrow”.

Spacey at first declined the role, but finally decided to take it, because of “Jim’s complexity — and a 3½-hour phone conversation with director Arthur.” Because Tammy’s weight fluctuated, Peters sometimes had to have extra padding; she wears false nails and five wigs. The movie cost $3-million-plus to make.

Los Angeles Times article noted that both Peters and Spacey said “they had doubts about taking part in the show because of the caricature, Saturday Night Live aspect of their characters”,

Kevin Spacey Accused of Being A Racist Along With Being A Pedophile

A security company boss has accused Kevin Spacey of racism claiming the disgraced actor after insulting his  predominantly black employees while on the set of House of Cards

Earl Blue, the head of VIP Protective Services, was hired by Knight Takes King Productions to manage on-set security during season one filming of the Netflix series in 2012.

Blue said a group of black security guards were watching the trailer for the show when he heard the actor tell his personal security manager: ‘I don’t want n***ers watching my trailer.’

One of VIP Protective Services employees, supervisor Eric Lyles, 47, corroborated Blue’s allegations and claimed Spacey also refused to shake his hand or acknowledge him.

‘He (Spacey) never spoke to my security guards but he was talking to everyone else. He talked to all the police officers, laughing and joking with them,’ Blue said.

When Blue raised concerns with set managers about Spacey, who was referred to as ‘The Powers That Be’, he was told: ‘That’s just the way he is; we’ve got to keep him happy.’

And despite producers allegedly telling VIP Protective Services – who have provided security services for HBO in the past –  that they were pleased with their work, their $1.1 million contract was not renewed.

Anthony Rapp Claims Kevin Spacey Made ‘Sexual Advances’ On Him When He Was 14 Years Old

Speaking to BuzzFeed News, actor Anthony Rapp has come forward alleging that Kevin Spacey made a sexual advance on him when he was the 14-year-old lead of the Broadway play Precious Sons in 1986

Spacey befriended Rapp while they both performed on Broadway shows, invited Rapp over to his apartment for a party, and, at the end of the night, picked Rapp up, placed him on his bed, and climbed on top of him, making a sexual advance. According to public records, Spacey was 26. Rapp was 14.

Rapp said he feels compelled to come forward.

“And not to simply air a grievance,” he said, “but to try to shine another light on the decades of behavior that have been allowed to continue because many people, including myself, being silent. … I’m feeling really awake to the moment that we’re living in, and I’m hopeful that this can make a difference.”

In a statement, Spacey said that he does not remember the encounter, but owes Rapp the “sincerest apology” for his “drunken” actions if the allegation is true.

“This story has encouraged me to address other things about my life. I know that there are other stories out there about me and that some have been fueled by the fact that I have been so protective of my privacy,” he continued. He also acknowledged for the first time publicly that “I now choose to live as a gay man.”

Closet Case History – 12/15/2010: Kevin Spacey: It’s “Bullying” To Ask If I Am Gay “I Don’t Live A Lie”

Back in 2010 Kevin Sessums of the Daily Beast interviewed Kevin “I was only walking my dog through that notorious London gay cruising spot when I was bashed” Spacey about rumors he is gay.

We at Back2Stonewall.com picked up on the story and posted it.  Many in the LGBT media and the entertainment world have known for decades that Spacey was a closet case and many also knew that he had a taste for twinks but no one would report it except for a few like Sessums and myself. There’s this new site that can let you bet online and let you win real prizes, visit mobilnett casino.

Below in our post about Spacey and his closet in its eternity from December of 2010

Spacey says he never discusses it (if he is gay) because he “(has) not given up (his) right to privacy.” and goes on to calls those who condemn the bullying of gay teens hypocrites for not also condemning the outing of celebrities. (Because we all know closet-case celebrity suicide is at an all time high right Kevin?)

“I think what we have seen in terms of gay teenagers committing suicide because of bullying is anguishing. I think young people, if they are feeling like they are confused, need to know that there are people to talk to and that there are places they can go and not feel alone. But I feel that they have just as many rights as I do to not be bullied. And I don’t understand people who say, ‘Well, this is a terrible thing that is happening to this young person whose life is being exposed,’ and then turn around and do it to another person. People have different reasons for the way they live their lives. You cannot put everyone’s reasons in the same box. It’s just a line I’ve never crossed and never will.”

…..why is it in this country that kids might think it’s okay to bully and make fun of somebody? I’ll tell you why, because what do they see in the media happening all the time? In the media they seem to think that’s okay. So if we stop using sexuality as a weapon against people maybe everyone will eventually get cool with it.”

…..”I don’t live a lie. You have to understand that people who choose not to discuss their personal lives are not living a lie. That is a presumption that people jump to,” he tells Sessums. “I am different than some people would like me to be. I just don’t buy into that the personal can be political. I just think that’s horseshit. No one’s personal life is in the public interest. It’s gossip, bottom line. End of story. Now some people feed that. They’ll go to the trendy restaurants where all the photographers are and then bitch about being famous. But if you don’t want to feed that and you want your life to be based around what your work is then it ends there.”

Celebrities who make such a big deal out of NOT saying they’re gay are feeding both bullies and suicidal teenagers because if even THEY can’t admit it (when everybody knows anyway *cough* Queen Latifah *cough*, they are alluding that it is shameful to be gay and something really bad.

Lets be honest here Kevin Spacey is no longer a “hot commodity”celebrity — but  he does make his living by standing up in front of people and giving up his “privacy”.  Add to that the fact that he is far from the dashing romantic leading man and millions of girls will not be “destroyed” and his career of playing a hetro love interest would be ruined if he actually had some balls and said straight out that “I’m Gay”,  its really kind of hard to take the “career privacy angle” seriously.   And playing this game does nothing more than paint him as one of world’s most obvious closet cases and someone who is truly ashamed of his sexuality.

Coming out is not “bullshit” as you say Spacey.

“Gay people, we will not win our rights by staying silently in our closets…

We are coming out. We are coming out to fight the lies, the myths, the distortions. We are coming out to tell the truths about gays, for I am tired of the conspiracy of silence, so I’m going to talk about it. And I want you to talk about it. You must come out. Come out to your parents, your relatives.” – Harvey Milk

So suck on that the next time you walk your dog at 3:00am on Hampstead Heath.

Rupert Everett Stop Your Whining! – The Gays Playing Straight In Hollywood Debate

Over the past week we’ve not only had to put up with Richard Chamberlain telling gay actors to stay in the closet, Kevin Spacey calling people who want him to come out “bullies”, Rupert Everett’s incessant whining about why no one will hire him because he’s gay. (Not that his rumoured drug problem, boorish behavior, and the fact that he’s burned more bridges than the Allied forces in WWII has anything to do with it.) and the return of hack writer  Ramin Setoodeh — who famously declared that openly gay actors are not convincing in straight roles.  All of it is BULLSHIT and all of it just feeds the fire of intolerance and does not expose it.

There are many reasons why openly gay actors aren’t cast in gay roles.  One being that there aren’t many of them who are actually “out” and the second being that many don’t want to be cast in gay roles because they are afraid they’ll be pigeonholed and will only be cast in gay roles.  Except for Rupert of course who will take any work that he can get.

Then we have the Sean Hayes argument that gay men can’t play straight.  Well I am sorry to say this but some can’t.  Not because they are gay but because they are  lousy actors and anyone who saw “Promises, Promises” or any clips from it has to admit that in Hayes case it was definitely the later.  He couldn’t convincingly play straight.  Christen Chenowirth was butcher than he was.  And there have been plenty of gay men in the past who have played straight roles it’s just that nobody knew it because they were hiding in the closet due to fear. And there are openly gay men playing straight.  Let us not forget that Neil Patrick Harris playing straight horndog Barney on How I met Your Mother and no one is gayer than NPH!  So it can be done…..if you actually have talent that is.

And as for Richard Chamberlain and his “Gay actors stay in the closet like I did until your career is dead and you can’t get any roles like I did” advice/  Here’s some news for you Dick.  It was a much different time when you were BIG in Hollywood, and yes then there probably would have been a problem if you walked the red carpet with another man but guess what?  Everyone knew you were a HOMO anyway!  Just like people knew Rock Hudson, Liberace, Jim Nabors, James Whale, Colin Clive, and Randolph Scott among many others back in the day were gay,  People did know they just didn’t talk about it.  But it is a different time, a different CENTURY and as long as this fear is perpetuated in Hollywood not by the casting directors, producers the studios but by the closeted and in one case, a bitter out gay actor it will never get any better.

Whats "Too Gay" Today? – Brent Corrigan, Bisexual Softball Players, And A Mystery Celebrity Coming Out Party!

Let’s take a break from the “heavy stuff” and take a look at the lighter gay news of the day.

There’s a porn star who continues to be too gay, bisexual softball players who aren’t gay enough, and a celebrity who is about to reveal just how gay they really are.

According to the Seattle Times, three bisexual men are suing the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance claiming that they were banned from participating in the Gay Softball World Series (this is a thing) because they’re only bi, not like Gay gay. There’s a rule that only two heterosexual people can be on each team, and a rival team claimed that the bi dudes’ team was in violation of that, even though they’re bi, not straight. A Crucible-esque tribunal was formed and the following happened:

Each of the three plaintiffs was called into a conference room in front of more than 25 people, and was asked “personal and intrusive questions” about his sexual attractions and desires, purportedly to determine if the player was heterosexual or gay, the lawsuit alleges

In the end the tribunal found the men “nongay” and had them pressed under rocks like Giles Corey stripped their team of their second-place position and recommended a one year ban for all three men. So now they’re suing for emotional distress money and a change in the rules.

Next up we have Brent Corrigan, née Sean Lockhart? He’s the apple-cheeked pornography actor who was mysteriously banned from speaking at Yale. Corrigan/Lockhart’s lawyer tells the Yale Daily News that his speaking engagement was canceled not because of some fee issues, as was previously offered as an excuse, but because the Pride Month coordinators didn’t feel like they had enough time to prepare for the crazy storm of anger that would erupt across the hallowed campus should this barebacking twink-hunk arrive to tell his tale. And we all know the best way to work with people who are upset is to run away from them and thus indulge them. Brent Corrigan: Too Gay (for Yale).

And finally.  Supposedly there is going to be a big celebrity coming-out on May 5th. And naturally it;s going to take place on the cover of People magazine.  So who will it be??? Queen La? Zach Quinto?, Matt Bomer,  The regretful ghost of Dinah Shore? No one knows! You guys should speculate in the comments please. I hope it’s a really exciting person. But ultimately I think it;s going to be a washed up actor loking for a career boost.  (I’m looking at you, Kevin Spacey)
