Fred Karger Exalts Mormons For Not Blocking ENDA Which Would Still Allow Them To Discriminate

Fred Karger GOP asshole

“This would not have happened without the blessing of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormon Church). The Mormon Church got a big black eye five years ago for all it did to pass Proposition 8 in California, which wrote discrimination into the state Constitution and took away gay marriage in the nation’s largest state. So in order to try to make amends, the Mormon Church led the effort to pass a workplace and housing nondiscrimination law in Salt Lake City in 2009. [snip]

“There are 10 Mormon members of the House of Representatives. If the Mormon Church would use its influence to get all 10 Mormon House members to support ENDA and have them to put some friendly pressure on Speaker Boehner, ENDA would likely become law. They need to lean on the Speaker to at least let ENDA come to the House floor for a vote, and then work diligently for its passage. Let’s hope that the Mormon Church, which advocates equal protection for all Americans, will stand up once again and help ENDA become the law of the land.” – 2012 gay GOP presidential candidate Fred Karger, who once said that he was proud to serve Ronald Reagan as one of his advisors writing for theHuffington Post.

Karger we hadn’t forgotten what the Mormon Church did with Prop 8, but to get all lovey-dovey over them not trying to block ENDA  is nothing more than pure GOP bullshittery.  Praising them for not blocking a bill that would still allow them to discriminate is ridiculous.  And calling upon them to get it passed in the House is downright dangerous considering that it would enshrine LGBT discrimination into law by religious organizations, schools, hospitals businesses and more.

Stop being such a media whore and just go away Fred.  GO AWAY.

Crybaby John Boehner Gets Pissy When He’s Caught In Shutdown and Debt Ceiling Lies – Video

Boehner Baby

Little Miss Pissy Pants John Boehner lost it a few times today on This Week with George Stephanopoulos

Boehner even looks like he’s  lying. The votes are there in the House to pass a clean CR. There is video evidence of Boehner saying repeatedly that he did not want to shut the government down. There is also evidence that enough Republicans would join with Democrats to support raising the debt limit.

Boehner, like all habitual GOP and Tea Party liars, can’t keep his numerous lies straight. But like all bullies, if anyone dares challenge his truthfulness, he responds with a loud accusatory voice and faux indignation.

House OKs “Fiscal Cliff” Deal Over Objections of GOP Legislators 151 – 85

Wylie Coyote Fiscal cliff

A deal has been struck to stave off the harshest and most immediate consequences of the media driven public paranoia frenzy called the “fiscal cliff” as the recent Senate deal won approval in the GOP controlled House late Monday night and passed with  Republican congressmen (151) voting against the Senate bill than for it (85), meaning that Democrats’ support was needed to advance the final deal. BOTH House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio and Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis.,voted for the deal  while Boehner’s top henchmen, Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va (Who’s posturing for Boehner’s job)  and Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., each opposed the deal.

The legislation, a combination of automatic tax hikes and spending cuts that took effect at midnight on Jan. 1.  preserves tax rates as they were at the end of 2012, except for those individuals earning more than $400,000 and households earning over $450,000. It also allows taxes on capital gains and dividends to go up, and extends unemployment benefits that were due to expire and revert back to their 20 week norm.

And of course the Tea Party is going ballistic.  Hasn’t anyone told them that they are irrelevant yet?

Donner Tea Party Your Table Is Ready! – Tea Party Starts #FireBoehner Campaign

Brietbart, the Daily Caller and other Tea Party organizations including American Majority Action are incensed over that the fact that the GOP dominated House has removed some its most hard-right members from key congressional committees, and are now backing a campaign to get rid of House Speaker John Boehner once and for all.

American Majority Action (AMA) is launching a #FireBoehner campaign. If 16 members of the Republican Party abstain from voting for Boehner as speaker in January, he will be one vote shy of the 218 necessary to confirm his speakership. “Speaker Boehner has been an abysmal failure as speaker, and his latest purge is the nail in the coffin for conservatives,” said Ned Ryun, president and CEO of AMA. “Boehner has never won a negation [sic] battle with the White House or Senate — and he’s been nothing short of an embarrassing spokesman for the conservative movement. It’s time for him to go.”

Ahhhh I love the smell of right-wing GOP/Tea Party cannibalism in the morning.

Ex-RNC Head And NEWLY “Gay” Ken Mehlman To Co-Chair John Boehner Re-Election Fundraiser

By now everyone should be aware who Ken Mehlman is.

Mehlman who was the head of the RNC during the Bush years was responsible for helping 21 states pushing through their own DOMA laws and helping to destroy hundreds of thousands of gays and lesbian lives while all the while living in a glass closet.

In 2010 Mehlman, who was retired from politics came out, threw some money at HRC and the Trevor Project and became a self-proclaimed supporters of LGBT rights and even helped New York (which he calls home) pass a same sex marriage law.

Many in the LGBT community and especially Gay Inc. gave Mehlman the benefit of the doubt, and a pass hoping to cash in on his political ties and his huge bank account. But in recent months its come to light that Mehlman is still donating heavily to anti-gay GOP candidates and now will be co-chairing a re-election fundraiser for John Boehner the man who has vowed to stop the overturning of DOMA and who  tripled the legal budget of Congress  to defend the unconstitutional law after President Obama and the DOJ said they would no longer continue to.

The same John BONER Boehner who also:

  • Voted NO on prohibiting job discrimination based on sexual orientation.
  • Voted YES on Constitutionally defining marriage as one-man-one-woman.
  • Voted YES on Constitutional Amendment banning same-sex marriage.
  • Voted YES on banning gay adoptions in DC.
  • Voted against The Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Act
  • Rated 7% by the ACLU, indicating an anti-civil rights voting record.
  • Rated 0% by the HRC, indicating an anti-gay-rights stance.
  • Rated 28% by the NAACP, indicating an anti-affirmative-action stance.

A leopard doesn’t change its spots and neither has Ken Mehlman. He was a self loathing GOP prick before he came out, and now that he’s out, he’s still a self loathing GOP prick.

When Mehlman first announced his alleged change of heart, there were many people, groups like the HRC, and mainstream gay media outlets saying that he deserved the benefit of the doubt, we ought to welcome him and take the high road and not beat him over the head for his past, etc. At the time, I thought the people saying those sorts of things gave every appearance of having manure for brains.

It looks as if I was right..

John Boehner Citicizes Obama’s State Of the Union Address BEFORE It’s Written – Ethel To Tilly, Come In Tilly

Top 1 percent Fortune Teller John (BONER) Boehner once again made a fool of himself today by criticizing and attacking President Obama’s 2012 State Of The Union Address while the White House is still writing it! –Source

Hey Tea Party! John Boehner TRIPLES DOMA Legal Budget! What Ya Gonna Do About That?

The country’s broke and in debt, or so the GOP and Tea Party says but that hasn’t stopped John Boehner and the ReTHUGlican party from tripling the budget to defend the unconstitutional Defense Of Marriage Act.

A modified contract between the General Counsel to the House of Representatives and former Solicitor General Paul Clement of Bancroft PLLC sets a cap of $750,000 which can be raised up to $1.5 million. “It is absolutely unconscionable that Speaker Boehner is tripling the cost for his legal boondoggle to defend the indefensible Defense of Marriage Act,” Drew Hammill, a spokesman for Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, said in a statement. “At a time when Americans are hurting and job creation should be the top priority, it just shows how out of touch House Republicans have become that they would spend up to $1.5 million dollars to defend discrimination in our country,” Hammill continued.

Financial hysteria, draconian spending cuts, and supremely hypocritical  Republican Leadership to spend additional taxpayer dollars on the unwarranted, unconstitutional and unnecessary defense of DOMA.

You better start crying now BONER we’re coming for you in November!

Cry clown, CRY!

Boehner and Clements Respond To Judges Questions On Why DOMA Should Be Defended With Anti-Gay Rhetoric

Last week Back2Stonewall.com reported that United States Magistrate Judge John Francis issued an order compelling John Boehner and the Gop’s lawyer Paul Clement to answer two questions.about why anyone would bother defending a discriminatory law already deemed “unconstitutional” by the Department of Justice.

Today, we got the answers to those questions. With some very typical anti-gay rhetoric and the repetition that defending DOMA is both a “compelling justification” and a “legitimate government interest.  There’s a desperate attempt by Boehner and Clement to prevent the court from using heightened scrutiny in this case. They want the Judge to use the “rational basis” test, which means just about any reason Congress had to pass the law is acceptable.

Plaintiff is not entitled to judgment as a matter of law. Her claim to summary judgment fails at the threshold: Contrary to her arguments, no form of heightened scrutiny applies to Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act (“DOMA”). Pub. L. No. 104-199, § 3, 110 Stat. 2419 (1996), codified at 1 U.S.C. § 7. Rather, DOMA is subject only to rational basis review. And (as made clear in the memorandum of law simultaneously filed by the United States House of Representatives’ Bipartisan Legal Advisory Group (the “House”) in support of its motion to dismiss), DOMA easily passes the rational basis test and does not violate the Equal Protection component of the Fifth Amendment.

Any effort to redefine the institution of marriage as something other than the union of one man and one woman is a matter best left in the hands of the elected, politically accountable branches of the federal government and the citizenry through the democratic process.

Moreover, whatever the historical record of discrimination, the most striking factor is how quickly things are changing through the normal democratic processes on issues ranging from same-sex marriage to “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” and beyond.

Plaintiff next argues that sexual orientation is immutable. Pl.’s Mem. Summ. J. at 17-18. She states that “the Attorney General has recognized[] ‘a growing scientific consensus [that] accepts that sexual orientation is a characteristic that is immutable.’” Id. at 18 (second alteration in original) (quoting Feb. 23, 2011 Letter from Eric A. Holder Jr., Att’y Gen., to John A. Boehner, Speaker of the U.S. House of Reps. (Feb. 25, 2011) (ECF No. 10-2)) (“Holder Letter”). Whether a classification is “immutable” is of course a legal conclusion – not a scientific one – and the Attorney General’s selective reading of scientific evidence warrants no deference from this Court. His conclusion and the Plaintiff’s argument are also both wrong.

So in a very cracked and anti-gay nutshell Boehner and Clements are arguing that DOMA should be defended because Lesbian and Gays are gaining slow incremental righst that every other American citizen has through Congress and will get there eventually and that there is no proof that people are actually born gay anyway.  And to just put that extra special gay hating zinger in there in the section entitled Plaintiff Misstates the Science on Same-Sex Parenting,” Clement and Boehner insinuate that gays really aren’t good parents anyway.

These are your tax dollars at work

You can head over to AmericaBlogGay and read the entire “MEMORANDUM”  It’s a dooooooooooooozy

Keith Olberman Tells Jimmy Fallon About John Boehner Scandal Rumours: Boners Next

There have been rumours for many years around Capitol Hill of John Boehner (R-OH) having affairs for years,on top of his alcoholism and finally someone is beginning to drop hints publically about it.  And that man is Keith Olberman!

“You know what’s next, right?” Olbermann asked Fallon. “Something with John Boehner. Boehner. B-O-E-H-N-E-R. You know what his nickname is? Is — is ‘boner.’ He answers to that.”

Boehners infedelity is being investigated and both the Enquirer and the NY Times are in a race to nail down all of the details. The Times bailed in early 2010 when the conservative media pushed back ahead of the anticipated release.  But now after Anthony Weiner…..
