Jan 6. Terrorist Doug Jensen Who Chased Capital PD Sentenced to 5 Years in Prison

The terrorist who chased U.S. Capitol Police Officer Eugene Goodman on Jan. 6, 2021, and apparently believed he was storming the White House was sentenced Friday to five years in prison.

A jury found Doug Jensen, of Iowa, guilty on seven counts, including felony charges of civil disorder and assaulting, resisting or impeding officers, in September. He was one of the first 10 rioters to enter the Capitol during the insurrection. Jensen will additionally be on probation for three years after his release and will have to pay $2,000 in restitution.

Jensen has been in pretrial custody since last year. He had been released in a high-intensity pretrial program, but a judge ordered him detained again after he violated the conditions of his release by livestreaming an event hosted MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell,

“The House select committee investigating the January 6 attack on the Capitol is expected to stage six public hearings in June on how Donald Trump and some allies broke the law as they sought to overturn the 2020 election results, according to sources familiar with the inquiry. According to a draft schedule reviewed by the Guardian, the select committee intends to hold six hearings, with the first and last in prime time, where its lawyers will run through how Trump’s schemes took shape before the election and culminated with the Capitol attack. The select committee appears to be planning for the hearings to be extensive affairs. The prime time hearings are currently scheduled to last between 1.5 and 2 hours and the morning hearings between 2 and 2.5 hours.

The counter-programming on Newsmax and OAN will probably be “The Democratic Debacle of Social Security” and “The benefits of indentured servitude.” while FOX will probably run a repeat of Tucker Carlson’s Ball Tanning Special.

The House select committee investigating the January 6 attack on the US Capitol is taking the extraordinary step of sending subpoenas to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and four other Republican lawmakers who have rejected the panel’s requests to voluntarily cooperate. Including: Reps., Mo Brooks of Alabama, Andy Biggs of Arizona, and (of course) Jim Jordan of Ohio

Democratic Chait of the Committee Rep. Bennie Thompson of Mississippi, said in a statement.:

“The Select Committee has learned that several of our colleagues have information relevant to our investigation into the attack on January 6th and the events leading up to it. Before we hold our hearings next month, we wished to provide members the opportunity to discuss these matters with the committee voluntarily. Regrettably, the individuals receiving subpoenas today have refused and we’re forced to take this step to help ensure the committee uncovers facts concerning January 6th. We urge our colleagues to comply with the law, do their patriotic duty, and cooperate with our investigation as hundreds of other witnesses have done.”

The committee has scheduled the depositions for the members of Congress for the end of May

Federal prosecutors on Thursday recommended a sentence of only four months of home detention and three years probation for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol. (It’s noted that Straka encouraged and celebrated the violence of the day but did not personally engage in violence or property destruction during the riot.)

In other words: Traitor and right wing nutjob begs for empathy about what his crimes ‘put him through’ while he raises money for nothing because the grift must go on!

Ohio congressman Jim Jordan has said he won’t voluntarily cooperate with the House Select Committee investigating the January 6 attack on the Capitol, describing the “Democrat obsession” as the latest of the “partisan witch hunts.”

The Republican, who represents Ohio’s 4th congressional district, wrote in a letter to committee chair rep. Bennie Thompson that the inquiry into the January 6 riot amounts to an “unprecedented and inappropriate demand to examine the basis for a colleague’s decision on a particular matter pending” before the House of Representatives

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) wasted no time ripping Joe Biden for his speech remembering Jan. 6, accusing the president of “brazen politicization.” Graham disagreed with the tenor of Biden’s speech, which he blasted in a tweet that somehow invoked the Taliban.

This, of course, is very different from what Graham said a year ago [clip below] on the day of the Capitol riot. The senator claimed that he was done with Trump, moments after the extraordinary violence and mayhem of that day, as Congress was about to certify the former president’s defeat.

Miss Graham: The domestic terrorist attack a year ago was “politicized” the moment it happened, so pull your petticoats out of your ass and bless your poor little non-existent heart.

House Minority Leader Republican Kevin McCarthy on the one year anniversary of the Jan. 6 attacks in a letter to his GOP colleagues accused Democrats of using the days tragic domestic terrorist attack and events as a “partisan political weapon.”

“As we have said from the start, the actions of that day were lawless and as wrong as wrong can be. Our Capitol should never be compromised and those who broke the law deserve to face legal repercussions and full accountability. Unfortunately, one year later, the majority party seems no closer to answering the central question of how the Capitol was left so unprepared and what must be done to ensure it never happens again,” he added. “Instead, they are using it as a partisan political weapon to further divide our country.”

A man on the FBI’s Most Wanted List for attacking police and storming the Capital during the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol domestic terrorist attack is now seeking asylum in Belarus, Russia according to state-run tv.

Evan Neumann, 48, is wanted in the United States on charges of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, as well as for assaulting, resisting and obstructing law enforcement during civil disorder.

Neumann sold his California home in spring and was thought to have moved to Ukraine to evade arrest, ABC News reported this summer. Neumann “sought justice and asked uncomfortable questions” following the 2020 U.S. elections disputed by ex-President Donald Trump, the presenter added, “but lost almost everything and is being persecuted by the U.S. government.”
