Despite the fact that Home Depots has tripled since the start of their boycott. Tim Wildmon, President of The American Family Association, has sent out an email to his insane faithful followers declaring victory in their long and useless boycott against the home repair giant for being LGBT inclusive and supportive.

“I’m glad to report to you that we are suspending the boycott of Home Depot. After monitoring the company for several months, AFA is satisfied the company has withdrawn its major financial contributions to gay activist groups and events. I truly believe this is a direct result of your willingness to become involved. In fact, more than 750,000 people signed the Boycott Home Depot Pledge. Although Home Depot has made changes, we will continue to monitor their behavior. We suspect Home Depot will publicly deny having made changes, but their actions speak louder than words. Your AFA will continue to challenge major U.S. companies to remain neutral in the culture wars rather than to use their resources to promote anti-family issues. Thank you for standing with us. Our efforts are making a difference!” – American Family Association president Tim Wildmon,

Zack Ford at Think Progress has a statement from Home Depot on Wildmon’s inaccurate claim:

“We haven’t made any changes to our policies for inclusion and respect of all people, regardless of their sexual orientation. We have not directed our associates to discontinue participation in Pride or other community events, and have no intention of doing so.”

Ah the American Family Association.  I love the smell of desperation in the morning.

AFA Accuses Lady Gaga And Office Depot of Pushing “The Homosexual Agenda” On Children

The hateful religious extremist at the American Family Association are at it again.

This time the AFA is accusing Lady Gaga of “pushing the homosexual agenda on children” and vowing to boycott Office Depot for partnering with Gaga’s “Born This Way Foundation”.

Office Depot is guaranteeing $1 million to help indoctrinate your children that they are born “gay.”

This week, Office Depot announced it is teaming up with recording artist Lady Gaga to push the homosexual agenda in public schools by encouraging our children to believe “gay” people are “Born This Way.”

To help spread the message, Office Depot and Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation have created several special, limited-edition products for back-to-school this year. Office Depot is donating 25% of the sale of each item back to the promotion of homosexuality, with a guaranteed payout of $1 million.

The truth is, there is zero credible evidence that people are born “gay.” Homosexuality is a poor and dangerous choice, and has been proven to lead to a litany of health hazards to not only the individuals but also society as a whole.

Office Depot is attempting to attract children to it by the deceiving title “Empowering Youth”. That is horribly irresponsible and will ultimately lead children to a higher chance of becoming victims to alcohol and drug abuse, depression and even suicide.

The AFA, an officially designated hate group alongside the KKK and Stormfront by the Southern Law Poverty Center has created a “stop or we’ll boycott you!”  letter for its members to send to Office Depot.

Family Research Council Hate Group Lies Again After Being Busted Lying About “Winning” Home Depot Boycott

The few weeks ago the anti-gay GOP christian extremist hate group The Family Research Council declared victory over Home Depot a boycott it started two years ago due to The Home Depot’s generous corporate presence at gay pride events an giving to LGBT charities.

Back then the the AFA claimed that:

  • In 2009 and 2010, Home Depot sponsored and marched in at least 16 separate gay pride events. After the boycott began, Home Depot’s participation dropped to just four events in 2011.
  • Home Depot has ordered its employees to stop wearing its highly recognized orange aprons to any homosexual-themed events.
  • Home Depot’s philanthropy arm, The Home Depot Foundation, now prohibits grants to “festivals” and denies requests for workshop kits and aprons. These had shown up at homosexual events on a regular basis

But the truth is that the AFA’s victory dance was all lies and bullshit  as found out by Back2Stonewall.com reader Chuck who contacted Home Depot

Chuck contacted the The Home Depot Corporate Ofices to ask if any of the AFA’s claims were true, and this was the reply he received:

So now that the AFA has once again been exposed for the hateful liars that they are.  they have now isued a ststement that Home Depot has LIED TO THEM and has caved into ” to homosexual activists.”even though AFA made the entire thing up in the first place.

According to the the newest AFA Bullshit Alert

Home Depot issued this email statement to AFA:

Home Depot’s online policy states it will not sponsor “…festivals, dinners…fundraisers…,” yet it sponsors gay pride festivals and Human Rights Campaign fundraising dinner events.

**The online policy to which the FRC refers is Home Depot’s Community Impact Grant Policy.  It is very misleading, because corporate giving is something else altogether.  Take notice that FRC didn’t point this out, because you know THEY LIKE TO LIE. 

Its great that Home Depot stands thier guns again these radical extremist religious organizations and not only should WE shop at Home Depot.  We should say THANK YOU for the support and standing up to these religious bullies.

Call Home Depot and THANK them thier support to the LGBT Community and standing up to the FRC.

Home Depot Responds To AFA Hate Group Claim They Caved To Boycott: THE AFA LIES!

Back2Stonewall.com reader Chuck contacted Home Depot as soon as he received the American Family Association email blast Friday evening in which the anti-gay hate group  claimed that The Home Depot has caved into its boycott  of the last 2 years because of the home repair giants support for the LGBT community and causes.

Chuck, who  keeps tabs on the AFA wrote to The Home Depot Corporate Ofices to ask if any of the AFA’s claims were true, and this was the reply he received:

We have never changed our commitment to diversity and inclusion of all
people, and we have no intention of doing so. Nor have we changed our

So the AFA has lied.  Shocking no.  But for what ends?  To cause trouble between the LGBT Community and Home Depot perhaps?  Or just perhaps to make it seem to thier evil minions that they are winning a war that they can’t win so they can receive more right wing welfare donations.

Whatever it is its imperative as Chuck points out that Home Depot should be made aware of the support and thanks they have from the LGBT community for not giving into  not to the AFA.

The anti-gay christian extremist hate group The American Family Association is declaring victory over Home Depot over a boycott it started two years ago due to The Home Depot’s conspicuous corporate presence at gay pride events, announced on Friday that Home Depot’s ostentatious gay friendliness has been curbed.

According to the AFA:

If this is true Home Depot has alot to answer for with the LGBT Community for caving to extremist christians.  But whats really strange about this is that the AFA is urging its members to CONTINUE the boycott to keep at it — to “support the boycott even more” —

Home Depot Tells Bryan Fischer and the American Family Association To Fuck Off!

Daily Finance.com reports Home Depot is having none of the threats or cowering in fear at the  American Family Association and Bryan Fister Fischer have thrown at them. 

For more than a year, the American Family Association has demanded that Home Depot (HD) not publicly back gay rights which has culminated with the AFA and  Fister Fischer himself calling for a full out BOYCOTT of the retail giant (Or what they like to refer to as “financial terrorism”when its AFA supporting companies that ate boycotted)

Despite extensive communication between AFA and The Home Depot, HD officials remain unmoved and resolute in continuing to allow their affiliates to sponsor as many pro-gay, pro-transsexual events as they’d like.

Home Depot spokesman Stephen Holmes said, “At the end of the day here, we’re not going to…forbid our associates to be involved in these pride festivals in any way.”

“In any way.” So apparently we’re talking about leather, whips, studded collars, feather boas, nudity, simulated and real sex acts, the whole nine yards. Whatever kind of abnormal sexual variants pride festivals want to put on display is A-OK with The Home Depot.

HD, through it’s affiliates, has put its money and its name on any number of gay pride parades and festivals. Despite repeated appeals from officials at AFA, The Home Depot intends to keep using its influence to push the radical homosexual agenda. Since everyone of these gay pride events pushes recognition of same-sex marriage, HD has clearly chosen sides on that issue.

Home Depot is holding its line on the issue:

“Our response on this has been and continues to be that we respect the diversity of all people and maintain an inclusive culture,” Home Depot spokesman Steve Holmes said in an email. “This is what [Chairman] Frank [Blake] told the AFA publicly at our annual shareholders meeting earlier this year.”

 Home Depot isn’t the only high-profile company the AFA has targeted. It has also tangled with Walt Disney (DIS), Procter & Gamble (PG), and PepsiCo (PEP). The AFA, which brags on its website that it has been on “the frontlines of America’s culture war” since 1977, insists that it has nothing against gays. All it wants is for corporate America to remain “neutral” in these same conflicts, according to Sharp. That includes both supporting gay causes and marketing to the LGBT community.

AFA president Tim Wildmon maturely shot back.  “[I]t’s no longer ‘The Home Depot,’ it’s ‘The Homosexual Depot.'”

Et tu Home Depot? Shareholders Rise Against Home Depot And Anti-Gay Political Contributions

The usually very gay friendly Home Depot is finding itself in a bit of a pickle as news comes of allegations of anti-gay political giving that has some its shareholders up in arms.

While Home Depot by outward appearance is very LGBT friendly there are instances in its past where Home Depot’s eponymous political action committee. has for instance donated to anti-gay pols like in 2006, the PAC donated $1,000 to Kansas Republican Sam Brownback, now the state’s governor and a supporter of a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage, and gave $10,000 to help Bob McDonnell’s gubernatorial campaign in Virginia. McDonnell is a staunch opponent of workplace protections for LGBT state employees.

So to rectify this Julie Goodridge, CEO of NorthStar Asset Management of Boston, a socially active investment firm has introduced a measure that Home Depot shareholders will be voting on  urging the company to disclose all political campaign spending—past and projected, to candidates and third-party outfits—to elect or defeat candidates running for office. The resolution would give shareholders the chance to vote for or against Home Depot’s campaign contributions and make the firm’s top brass study whether the company’s political spending would damage Home Depot’s value and image

Not surprisingly, Home Depot says it’s the role of their executives, not shareholders, to choose how to make political contributions.

The usually LGBT friendly Home Depot is currently under attack by the American Family Association for being “too gay friendly and promoting a gay agenda”

Anti- Gay Loon Group American Family Association Attacks Home Depot For Gay Pride Participation In Southern Maine Pride.

Well the anti-gay hate group The American Family Association has launched an email and phone campaign against Home Depot because the fix-it giant hosted an arts and crafts workshop for children at Southern Maine Pride.

To this end, Home Depot is basically encouraging the attendance of children at events which openly expose them to transvestites, cross-dressers, and homosexual activists. Unfortunately, Home Depot’s participation in the Southern Maine Pride Festival doesn’t stand alone. It has also sponsored and participated in the 2010 Boston Gay Pride parade. Homosexuals often exploit young children in their desire to ‘normalize’ their gay lifestyle. Gay pride events have a long track record for offensive public displays of homosexual conduct. Obviously, Home Depot is OK with the idea of exposing children to an unhealthy and risky environment. So much so, it is willing to also celebrate it by participating in its promotion. Send an email to let Home Depot know you are sickened by their support and approval of children at homosexual events.
