We know Russian agents used Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and even Pinterest to place targeted attack ads and negative stories intended not to hurt just me but to fan the flames of division in our society.
Russians posed as Americans pretending to be LGBT and gun rights activists, even Muslims, saying things they knew would cause distress.
The Russians are still playing on anything and everything they can to turn Americans against each other.
In addition to hacking our elections, they are hacking our discourse and our unity. We are in the middle of a global struggle between liberal democracy and a rising tide of illiberalism and authoritarianism.
Former secretary of state and failed United States Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said Sunday that she will not pursue the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination. “I am done with being a candidate,” Clinton said on CBS’s “Sunday Morning.”
Clinton — who on Tuesday will release “What Happened,” her memoir of the 2016 campaign — does plan to stay involved in national politics, just not as an “active politician” who may launch a campaign. “But I am not done with politics because I literally believe that our country’s future is at stake,” she said in an interview with Jane Pauley.
Clinton also was critical of President Trump’s preparedness for the White House. “We have a reality show that leads to the election of a president. He ends up in the Oval Office. He says, ‘Boy, it’s so much harder than I thought it would be. This is really tough. I had no idea,’” Clinton said. “Well, yeah, because it’s not a show. It’s real. It’s reality, for sure.” – The Washington Post
Clinton has recently come under fire from supporters over her new book and her take on:exactly how things went so wrong that she lost a contest that should have been unlosable and goes after Bernie Sanders, Kremlin-backed actors and, in her own words, “my own shortcomings and the mistakes we made.”
Jared Huffman is a Democratic congressman from North Carolina. He described Clinton’s book as hobbling the party by relitigating the election without taking any actual responsibility for the party’s loss.
“Maybe at the worst possible time, as we are fighting some of the most high-stakes policy and institutional battles we may ever see, at a time when we’re trying to bring the party together so we can all move the party forward — stronger, stronger together,” Huffman told Politico. “She’s got every right to tell her story. Who am I to say she shouldn’t, or how she should tell it? But it is difficult for some of us, even like myself who’ve supported her, to play out all these media cycles about the blame game, and the excuses.”
He also suggested that a lot of Democrats are feeling the same lack of enthusiasm over the book.
“There is a collective groan,” Huffman added, “whenever there’s another news cycle about this.”
On the desk of any liberal media outlet, there are two rulebooks: one for Republicans, one for Democrats. If the election coverage didn’t convince you, then Donald Trump’s first seven months ought to.
Despite making good on dozens of campaign promises, the Trump team has faced a lopsided barrage from an unfriendly press since Day One. Dogged by negative press (a record 89 percent of it unfavorable), the 45th president has set new highs for media hostility.
Now, with stories surfacing about Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with a Russian attorney last year, the far-Left is licking its lips. Most media outlets are attacking the president’s son with the ferocity they refused to show to the Clintons (despite far more dubious interactions with Vladimir Putin’s country).
Desperate to catch the Trump campaign in cahoots with the Russians, they’ve turned Trump Jr.’s search for opposition research into a fantasy of national “treason” (Senator Tim Kaine’s, D-Va. words, not mine)!
Clearly, the media is only seeing what it wants to in regard to this story. It’s unreasonable to think that Donald Trump Jr., who was a political novice working on his dad’s campaign, would respond any differently than he did to this offer of information about Hillary Clinton.
As someone who’s spent a career in politics, I know from experience that there are all kinds of people who offer to hand over incriminating details about the opposition. But getting intel on an opponent isn’t necessarily for the purpose of using it publicly, but rather strategically. Some information is legitimate and helpful — a lot of it is not.
It may not be the “greatest witch hunt in political history,” as President Trump called it, but the media’s double standard is certainly cause for concern.
By all means, let Congress and the media get to the bottom of what, if anything, Russia may have done to influence last year’s elections and what, if anything, Team Trump did to help. But let’s also root out what, if anything, the Clintons did to advance Russia’s strategic position, while feathering their nests.” – Via press release from hate mongering group leader Tony “I never met a Klansman I didn’t blow” Perkins.
Just like the”far-left” media was also out to destroy your buddy novice incestuous child molester Josh Dugger too, Tony?
Bill and Hillary Clinton have decided to attend the inauguration of Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States, according to two sources with knowledge of their plans. The Clintons will join former Presidents George W. Bush and Jimmy Carter, who have also announced that they will attend. George and Laura Bush said today that they would be present “to witness the peaceful transfer of power.”
Sources report that Hillary and President Clinton decided to do so out of a sense of duty and respect for the American democratic process.
Thats right “Go High” again even though it f***ed you without lube during the campaign.
Headline should read: Gutless Wonders Legitimizes Evil.
Pennsylvania will apparently not have a statewide recount of its votes, removing the last long-shot hope by opponents of Donald J. Trump that a review of the ballots could overturn his election as president.
In a filing on Saturday, a lawyer for Jill Stein, the Green Party presidential candidate, who began the recount bids in Pennsylvania — as well as in Michigan and Wisconsin — said “petitioners are regular citizens of ordinary means” and could not afford a $1 million bond payment that was ordered by Pennsylvania courts.
Lawyers for Pennsylvania Republicans and Mr. Trump had asked a judge on Thursday to dismiss Ms. Stein’s request, saying she had not identified any fraud or illegal activity during the Nov. 8 election.
Lawrence J. Tabas, the general counsel of the Republican Party of Pennsylvania, said on Saturday that the withdrawal served as “recognition” that the Stein-led effort was “completely without merit,” and that the decision to drop the case “assures that President-elect Trump will be declared the winner by the Electoral College,” which meets on Dec. 19.
In a statement, Ms. Stein left open the possibility that she had further plans in Pennsylvania, and promised a “major announcement” on Monday morning. She criticized the $1 million bond needed to proceed with a recount.
“This is yet another sign that Pennsylvania’s antiquated election law is stacked against voters,” Ms. Stein said. “We will pursue every available remedy to ensure Pennsylvanians can trust what happened in this election.”
Now before everyone out there jumps on Jill Stein. We must remember that the Democrats and Hillary herself have done NOTHING. Even Al Gore fought harder. Hillary conceded way too early and is now somewhere licking her wounds and putting up no fight. The election was theirs to lose and the DNC and Hillary did lose it. And it was NOT Steins fault. They alienated progressive votes, and took for granted that they would vote for her. They did not reach out to African Americans and the Latino population enough opting to believe that it would be a given that they would not vote for Trump when in reality more minority voters swung Republican this year than in the past two Presidential races. Also Hill and the DNC did not run a race on “issues” instead of opting instead for the campaign of “who’s better qualified” And Hillary’s baggage did not help.
So before you blame Jill Stein and progressives take a step back and blame the real culprits who are responsible for losing this election. Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee themselves. Because without blaming them it will never get any better.
“Saturday Night Live” poked fun at Donald Trump’s relationships with the FBI, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the KKK in its final pre-election show. Alec Baldwin as the GOP nominee and Kate McKinnon as Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton appeared on the spoof “OutFront” show.
But instead of asking Baldwin as Trump about his scandals, show anchor Erin Burnett (played by Cecily Strong) just kept questioning McKinnon as Clinton about her emails. It didn’t even matter whether Baldwin as Trump planted kisses on the lips of an FBI agent, a Klansman or a fake Putin.
“Erin, you saw that, right? He kissed an FBI guy?” McKinnon’s character asked Strong at one point. “It doesn’t seem like enough of a story, let’s get back to your emails,” Strong as Burnett replied.
Baldwin and McKinnon later broke character by saying they felt “gross” about the election, before running out into the streets of New York City to hug passersby. “None of this will have mattered if you don’t vote,” Baldwin, as himself, said after they returned to the studio.
“We can’t tell you who to vote for, but on Tuesday, we all get a chance to choose what kind of country we want to live in,” McKinnon added.
I wonder if it was a wide shot we’d see the fake Vlad grab fake Trump’s pussy?
Family Research Council hate group president and former KKK Grand Wizard David Dukes’ BFF, Tony Perkins appeared on FOX News over the weekend to to warn conservatives that they had better vote for Donald Trump because Hillary Clinton is a “threat to biblical Christianity.”
A large majority of registered LGBT voters support Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump, according to results of two weeks of the NBC News|SurveyMonkey Weekly Election Tracking Poll. Seventy-two percent of registered LGBT voters support Clinton, compared to 20 percent who support Trump.
On the campaign trail, Trump has touted himself as the better candidate to fight for LGBT rights, but his decision to pick Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his running-mate was seen by some as contradictory to his LGBT-friendly claims.
When Libertarian Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein are added to the match-up question, Clinton still maintained the lead among registered LGBT voters with 63 percent support. Trump, on the other hand, had 15 percent support. Johnson was not far behind with 13 percent, followed by 8 percent support for Stein.
In past elections, LGBT voters have played an important role. According to results from the 2012 NBC News Exit Polls, 5 percent of voters identified as gay, lesbian or bisexual** and 76 percent voted for Barack Obama. Voters who did not identify as gay, lesbian or bisexual were split—49 percent voted for Obama and 49 percent voted for Romney.
It just goes to prove that stupidity and greed knows no sexual orientation or gender.
Pissing off thousands of progressive voters across America, Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine has just been revealed to be Hillary Clinton’s running mate, per the New York Times. According to MSNBC, the Clinton campaign reached out to Sen. Cory Booker and Agriculture Sec. Tom Vilsack to break the news shortly before tonight’s announcement.
Kaine is also formerly Virginia’s state’s governor, (Virginia is a SWING STATE) and is considered a moderate, as is Hillary. Kaine was once only a lukewarm supporter of LGBT causes and an outright opponent of marriage equality. In 2001, when he was running for lieutenant governor of Virginia, he told the Associated Press, “I have never said I supported gay civil unions, gay marriages. I do believe that people shouldn’t be kicked out of their jobs or discriminated against because of who they are.” He did say he supported some way to give same-sex couples in long-term relationships access to certain benefits enjoyed by married opposite-sex couples. But in 2006, as governor, he campaigned against a measure to amend the state’s constitution to ban same-sex marriage; it passed anyway. When running for governor in 2005, he opposed adoption rights for gay couples or individuals, but by 2011, running for Senate, he had changed his mind and said they should be able to adopt if a judge determined that it was the best interest of the child. As governor he issued an executive order banning antigay discrimination against state employees. In 2013, his first year in the Senate, he announced his support for marriage equality. So far in his Senate service, he has received a 90 percent rating on the Human Rights Campaign’s Congressional Scorecard.
But lets face it people. She could have picked a blender as her running mate and we still have to vote for her. Trump/Pence cannot be allowed to win the election.
Close your eyes, bend over and vote. We’ve all done it before.
