Car Accident Escalates Into Horrific Hate Crime In Detroit, Michigan

What began as a run of the mill car accident turned into a horrific hate crime in Detroit, Michigan when  a lesbian couple got into a car accident with a women in an SUV and was then ganged up on by 5 male attackers and were savagely beaten.

From Equality  Michigan:

The SUV driver allegedly said “I can’t believe this man (meaning one of the lesbians)  just hit me” and  proceeded to call her boyfriend, who arrived within five minutes with four of  his male friends.  One of the lesbian coupe were told that because she “acts  like a man” that she would “get beaten like one”. The males attacked the  couple, using anti-lesbian and anti-trans slurs.

Subsequently a Detroit Police Detective has been assigned to the  case and the victims are in the process of submitting their  statements.

Equality Michigan is calling on the police and prosecutor to consider if the case should be referred to the federal courts for prosecution under the  Byrd-Shepard Hate Crimes Act,” (I wouldn’t be calling on them to “consider”  I’d be demanding.)

There are no laws currently on the  books in Michigan that would allow prosecution in that state as a LGBT hate crime.

Video – GOProud’s Jimmy LaSalvia Hits New LOW. Uses His Bashing To Attack Hate Crimes Laws On FOX News

Earlier in the week Jimmy LaSalvia of GOFuckyourself  GOProud spoke out about the “supposed” hate crime that was made upon him last Saturday night when he was riding his bike behind the Capitol in SE DC when he was pushed to the ground by a gang of youths.

LaSalvia waited almost 72 hours before releasing the story and statements to the Washington Blade and other news sources about his “bashing” and in dramatic fashion.

“I was on my bike when I approached them,” LaSalvia told the Blade in an e-mail. “Just as I got up to them, the assailant lunged off the sidewalk toward me on the street and delivered a punch across my chest. The momentum of my bicycling driving me into his fist and arm caused a shocking pain like I’ve never felt before,” he said.

“Just as I began to realize what was happening, I heard it. The words are still ringing in my ears as I write this today – ‘F____ faggot!’. It was clear to me in that moment that my sexual orientation had motivated this attack.”

LaSalvia said that after barely catching himself from falling to the ground, he reached into his backpack for his cell phone, with the thought of calling the police. That action prompted one of the teenagers accompanying the attacker to say, “Does he have a gun?” The attacker and a few of the others with him “puffed up their chests and were clearly ready to continue the attack,” he said. But seconds later, the group fled the scene after he kept his hand inside his backpack, “allowing them to wonder if I was reaching for a gun.”

So of course today Jimmy LaSalvia appeared on on Fox News to use  his gay-bashing to push the GOP and GOFuckyourslef  GOProuds platform AGAINST The Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Law and use it as  proof positive that hate crimes laws don’t work.

And whats even more idiotic is the fact LaSalvia doesn’t know that yes, the hate crime laws were set up to hopefully be a deterrent to these crimes, but they mainly put in place to insure investigation and prosecution of such crimes.

And I knew this was coming.  The morning after LaSalvia’ss confrontation Chris Barron was on Twitter saying the same thing  about hate crime laws not working and also pushing people to carry guns.

There are many out there in the LGBT community I have met that say “Jimmy LaSalvia isn’t as bad as Chris Barron” But I beg to differ.  BOTH Barron and LaSalvia are nothing more than self loathing homo scum who will stoop to any level to push their “I’m gay but I care about my wallet so I support the GOP at any cost” agenda even if it causes harm to the LGBT community.

 I wonder if Miss LaSaliva has considered that maybe she wasn’t gay-bashed at all and might have been  GOProud-bashed by a gang of LGBT youths.

Three Men Officially Indicted On Gay Hate Crimes In NYC’s Greenwich Village Attacks

Matthew Francis, 21 and Christopher Orlando, 17 and  Frederick Giunta, 25, from Queens  were indicted Tuesday for two incidents last month of alleged LGBT hate crimes in NYC’s West Village.

Francis, and Orlando,, both of Staten Island, pleaded not guilty to charges of assault and attempted robbery as hate crimes after allegedly attacking Benjamin Carver in the bathroom at the Stonewall Inn on Christopher Street on Oct. 3.  Francis made anti-gay statements and punched Carver, was charged with attempted robbery as a hate crime, assault as a hate crime and criminal possession of a weapon. Orlando was charged with attempted robbery as a hate crime, and assault as a hate crime. Both face up to eight years in prison

In a seperate case Frederick  Gunta pleaded not guilty to attacking bartender Greg Davis, 38, at Julius Bar on West 10th Street, and shouting racist and anti-gay slurs at customers. Giunta is also accused of trying to steal a wallet from a patron at Ty’s bar at 114 Christopher St. on Oct. 11.  Guinta, charged with attempted robbery and assault as a hate crime, faces up to five years in prison for the robbery, and one year for the hate crime.

“Attacks such as these not only harm individual victims, they also threaten entire communities in New York City,” Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance Jr. said in a statement. “We created the Hate Crimes Unit to identify and then to build strong cases against those who commit bias crimes.”

In what has to be one of the\most shocking anti gay hate crimes in recent memory, A gay 30 year old man was told there was a party at a brick house on Osborne Place, in the Bronx.. He showed up last Sunday night as instructed, with plenty of cans of malt liquor. What he walked into was not a party at all, but a night of torture — where he was sodomized, burned and whipped all for being gay. There were nine attackers, ranging from 16 to 23 years old and calling themselves the Latin King Goonies

At 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, the group grabbed the 17-year-old, took him to the house and slammed him into a wall,  He was beaten, made to strip naked, slashed with a box cutter, hit on the head with a can of beer and sodomized with the wooden handle of a plunger, the police said. And he was interrogated about the 30-year-old and asked if they had had sex.  The teenager said that they had. The gang members set him loose, warning him to keep quiet or they would hurt his friends and family. The teenager walked into a nearby hospital and said he had been jumped by strangers on the street and robbed.

At 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, the police said, the group members grabbed a  second 17-year-old, beating and interrogating him about the 30-year-old gay man. The 17 year old admitted that he had had sex with the man. They took his jewelry and held him while the 30-year-old arrived for what he thought was a party He was immediately set upon and tied up. the “Goonies” ordered the 17 year old captive to attack the man. The teenager hit him in the face and burned him with a cigarette on his nipple and penis as the others jeered and shouted gay slurs, the police said. Then the attackers whipped the man with a chain and sodomized him with a small baseball bat. This went on for hours.
While the man was held captive and attacked, five of the Latin King Goonies went to his house, which he shared with his 40-year-old brother. Using a key taken from the 30-year-old to get inside, they found his brother in bed. They pulled a blanket over his head and hit him, demanding money. When he refused, one placed a cellphone to the brother’s ear, and he heard the voice of his younger brother, who said he had been kidnapped and who pleaded, “Give them the money.”

The brother complied. The men took $1,000 in cash, two debit cards and a 52-inch television.

Finally after hours of torture they released their victims and made a remarkably thorough attempt to sanitize the house — including pouring bleach down drains, the police said, as little by little word of the attacks trickled to the police. A crucial clue to the attackers was provided by someone who slipped a note to a police officer outside the crime scene, at 1910 Osborne Place in Morris Heights, near Bronx Community College.

Seven suspects were arrested on Thursday and Friday, and two were still being sought.

David Rivera, 21; Nelson Falu, 18; Steven Carballo, 17; Denis Peitars, 17; Bryan Almonte, 17; and Brian Cepeda, 16. They were being held by the police in the Bronx on Friday night, with no arraignment scheduled. Still being sought, the police said, are Elmer Confessor, 23, and Ruddy Vargas-Perez, 22.

The charges include abduction, unlawful imprisonment and sodomy, all as hate crimes.

“These suspects deployed terrible, wolf-pack odds of nine against one, which revealed them as predators whose crimes were as cowardly as they were despicable,” Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly said at a news conference.
