Today, Democratic National Committee Chair Tom Perez announced the appointment of Joe Solmonese to be Chief Executive Officer of the 2020 Democratic National Convention Committee. Solmonese just recently served as the Transition Chair of Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA), and previously served as the President of the Human Rights Campaign and the Chief Executive Officer of Emily’s List.

“Joe Solmonese will be an asset in leading our convention team. He brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this role and will be instrumental in ensuring we have a successful event,” said Perez. “We chose Milwaukee because the city embodies who we are as a party, and under Joe’s leadership, I’m confident those values will be at the forefront as we celebrate our nominee and prepare for the general election. I am thrilled to have him as a part of the team and look forward to a unifying convention that will put our nominee in the best possible position for victory in November 2020.”

“The opportunity to lead the 2020 convention is a tremendous honor and I’m prepared to hit the ground running,” said Solmonese. “There is no better time than now to be a Democrat and next summer we will showcase the ideals and diversity that make our party, the city of Milwaukee, and our nominee special to the American people.”

Joe Solmon-sleaze as we used to call him ran the Human Rights Campaign from 2005 – 2012.

‘Sexually Suggestive’ Hot Naked Man in the Vatican’s Nativity Scene Has Right-Wing Christians Losing Their Minds.

The Vatican Nativity scene this year features a hot naked beefy man, a corpse, and no sheep or oxen and it is driving right-wing Christians crazy and to the breaking point this holiday season.

The Nativity scene was donated by the Benedictine Abbey of Montevergine in southern Italy. It features 20 terracotta figures, some as tall as 6 feet, posed over an 860-square-foot scene and created in 18th century Neapolitan style.

The display depicts seven corporal works of mercy. In one vignette, a dead man is being buried, in another a prisoner is visited. The naked man is being clothed.

“A naked man steals the show in the Vatican’s new nativity scene rendition,” declared Veritas Vincit International, a self-described “End Times” blog.

“Most people’s eyes would probably be led first and attracted to the ‘unique’ sight of a naked man prominently featured in the official nativity scene of the Vatican – set right at the forefront of the giant Christmas tree,” the blog insists.

 Some Christian crazies lamented the figure’s “prominent placement and languid pose, at Breitbart, which reported that the figure’s pose “led many on social media to suggest that there is a vaguely homoerotic tone to the scene.”

One observer remarked, regarding the poor man in need of clothes: “I’ve worked with a personal trainer. That guy’s been in the gym two hours a day, six days a week.”

“This horrendous exhibit is a sacrilegious, highly deceitful and malevolent attempt to turn the holy innocence of the manger in St. Peter’s Square into a lobbying tool for the homosexual rights movement, is just the latest fiendish act, but one that’s symptomatic of this entire pontificate,” one source close to the Vatican told extreme right Christian Nationalist  LifeSiteNews.

Of course the Nativity has nothing to do with the LGBT community.

It is the representation of Jesus’ birth is inspired by works of mercy and is a reminder “that Jesus told us: ‘Do to others what you would have them do to you,” Pope Francis said earlier this month in introducing the scene and thanking those who worked on it.

But don’t tell Brietbart and Lifesite.  The sound of their brains exploding is the best Christmas gift ever!

“Today’s decision, written by Judge Stephen Reinhardt, holds that “Idaho and Nevada’s marriage laws, by preventing same-sex couples from marrying and refusing to recognize same-sex marriages celebrated elsewhere, impose profound legal, financial, social and psychic harms on numerous citizens of those states.” The decision further states: “Classifying some families, and especially their children, as of lesser value should be repugnant to all those in this nation who profess to believe in ‘family values.’ In any event, Idaho and Nevada’s asserted preference for opposite-sex parents does not, under heightened scrutiny, come close to justifying unequal treatment on the basis of sexual orientation.”

The Idaho case was brought in November 2013 by four same-sex couples: Sue Latta and Traci Ehlers, Lori and Sharene Watsen, Shelia Robertson and Andrea Altmayer, and Amber Beierle and Rachael Robertson. The couples are represented by Idaho attorneys Deborah Ferguson and Craig Durham of Ferguson Durham LLP and the National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR). On September 8th, Ferguson argued before Ninth Circuit Judges Stephen Reinhardt, Marsha S. Berzon, and Ronald M. Gould that Idaho’s laws that ban marriage equality and prohibit the state from respecting the marriages of same-sex couples who married in other states violate the U.S. Constitution. The Idaho case was consolidated for purposes of the decision with Sevcik v. Sandoval, a case challenging Nevada’s marriage ban brought by same-sex couples represented by Lambda Legal.”

I would like to make something clear here.  All of this is because of Edith Windsor.  HER case in the Supreme Court made the difference.  Chad Griffin, Prop 8, HRC, Freedom to Marry, and others cannot and should not try to take or be given any credit for this.  It all belongs to Edith Windsor.
