ExxonMobil Announces That It Will Comply With LGBT Employment Executive Order

Finally

ExxonMobil, the world’s largest energy corporation, that holds millions of dollars in federal contracts and whose board and shareholders who know how to buy oil stocks more than anyone else has year after year voted against granting LGBT workplace protections to it workers, has announced that it will comply with the executive order signed by President Obama on Monday.

Via the Associated Press:

Exxon, which according to government records won more than $480 million in federal contracts in 2013 and more than $8 billion since 2006, has long resisted pressure from civil rights groups and shareholders to enumerate such protections in its formal policy. The world’s biggest oil and gas company by market value will continue to “abide by the law,” spokesman Alan Jeffers said Tuesday. He wouldn’t say if that meant changing the language in the company’s formal equal employment opportunity policy, but stressed that Exxon prohibits “discrimination on any basis.” n May, Exxon shareholders voted down a proposal for the 15th consecutive year to add such language to its equal employment opportunity statement, maintaining that the business standards stated on a company web site ensure protections without having to specifically name them.

One of America’s most odious corporations, dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st century.

LOVING IT!

Can’t wait for Tony PerKKKins’ and Bryan Fischer’s head to explode and announce the subsequent boycott of Exxon Mobil.

FRC’s Tony Perkins Pens Love Letters To Michele Bachman and Anti-Gay ExxonMobil

Tony Perkins FRC KKK

FRC hate group President Tony Perkins had a busy little black-hearted day yesterday reacting to the news that his beloved batshit crazy GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann was not going to run for re-election and also that ExxonMobil shareholders had for the 14th straight year voted down adding LGBT employee protections to its company’s bylaws. Perkins claimed victory over the rejection of the resolution, which she said indicates the company “is putting its stock in something other than political correctness

Michele Bachmann:

After an incredible run, Rep. Michele Bachmann  announced that  she’s retiring from Congress at the end of her term. For eight years,  she served more than the people of Minnesota–she served the families of America with her tireless stand for conservative values. A proud voice  for life and marriage, Michele never shied away from a fight–and our  movement is better for it. We wish her all the best as she closes out  her distinguished Hill career and starts out on her next journey. In the meantime, join me in thanking a dear friend and fearless leader for all she’s accomplished on behalf of faith, family, and freedom! We look  forward to working with Michele in the House and wherever God calls her  next.”

ExxonMobil:

The four to one margin against the resolution is a strong indication that the homosexual community’s agenda is not resonating beyond the most liberal states.  Exxon is setting a good example for other businesses who think promoting extreme political views is the only away to avoid the strong arm tactics of far left special interests.

Well if you ever wanted to know what Hitler’s love notes to Ilse Koch aka Ilse She Devil of the Nazi’s and Krupp’s which used Nazi slave labor during WWII sounded like this probably about sums it up.

BREAKING: ExxonMobil Shareholders AGAIN Reject LGBT Protections – BOYCOTT ExxonMobil!

In what has been called the largest margin of defeat for the proposal in recent memory.  By an 80-20 margin of defeat, ExxonMobil shareholders have voted down once again  a proposal to add gay and transgender employees to the Irving-based corporation’s nondiscrimination policy.

From the Dallas Voice

Meeting at the Meyerson Symphony Center in the Dallas Arts District, the ExxonMobil shareholders voted 80 percent to 20 percent against a resolution asking the corporation to amend “its written equal employment opportunity policy to explicitly prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity and to substantially implement the policy.” The 80-20 margin of defeat was the largest in recent memory for the proposal, which has been introduced each year since Mobil and Exxon merged in 1999. The percentage of shareholders voting for the policy had increased steadily over the years to about 40 percent, before dropping off significantly this year.

Mobil was one of the first companies in the world to include sexual orientation in its nondiscrimination policy and offer benefits to the same-sex partners of gay employees. But ExxonMobil rescinded those policies after the merger.

This year, the resolution was initiated by New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, who wants the company to not only amend the nondiscrimination policy, but also to begin offering health benefits to the spouses of employees married in the Empire State.

The comptroller controls the state’s pension funds. As of May 18, New York’s pension fund held more than 16 million shares of ExxonMobil worth more than $1 billion.

Exxon Mobil has called the measure unnecessary. It says the company is a “meritocracy” for its 82,000 workers worldwide, and that it already prohibits all forms of discrimination.

ExxonMobil maintains the lowest possible rating on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index, with a minus-25.

BOYCOTT EXXON-MOBIL! If you don’t you are hurting your own people and supporting a company that does not care about equal rights and human dignity.

And for once it would be nice to see the Task Force, Human Rights Campaign, GLAAD and all other LGBT Organizations grow some balls and stand up and say to the community BOYCOTT EXXON-MOBIL and lead this boycott instead of being afraid they might lose a possible donation in the future.
