There’s a new celebrity PSA out tonight featuring some big-name actors asking members of the electoral college to do the right thing and step in to vote their conscience (a.k.a. not Donald Trump)

In the video for Unite For America, they explain that the electoral college was designed to allow people to step in and prevent a “demagogue” or someone uniquely unqualified to be president from doing so. They make it clear they’re not advocating a vote for Clinton, just “any eligible person” they trust to be competent as president.

California Sen. Barbara Boxer Files Bill To Abolish The Electoral College

The LA Times reports:

Retiring Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) filed legislation Tuesday to abolish the Electoral College in light of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton winning the popular vote but still losing the election. Such legislation makes a statement after an election that shocked Democrats, but is unlikely to gain traction with Republicans holding control of both chambers of Congress in a lame duck session.

Her bill calls for an amendment to the Constitution that would end the Electoral College system. Should such a thing pass, the amendment would only take effect if ratified by three-fourths of the states within seven years after its passage in the U.S. Congress.

Clinton leads President-elect Donald Trump by nearly 800,000 votes nationally with a final count still pending, but Trump won the most electors in the electoral college system that is how the country actually picks it’s president.

Boxer was a vocal advocate for Clinton throughout the campaign and had said that electing the first female president was on her to-do list before leaving the Senate in January. This is just the fourth time in U.S. history that a nominee has won the popular vote but lost the Electoral College and thus the presidency. The most recent was Al Gore’s Electoral College loss to George W. Bush in 2000.

Nice sentiment but lets face it. The last thing in the universe any Republican will vote for today is a proposal to eliminate the Electoral College.

The Electoral College just resulted in the Republican incarnation of Juan Peron being elected President of the United States.

Donald Trump and his henchmen like to falsely promote the fact that DT is a“best friend to the gays”. But yesterday  Trump took center stage at the Family Research Council’s extreme right-wing Values Voter Summit, where he will spoke to a room packed with anti-LGBT activists and hate groups, some of whom advocate for the criminalization of homosexuality, dangerous and torturous conversion therapy, and  the loss of civil rights. His first statement was vowing the protection of “Religious Liberty” aka. The Right To Discriminate.

Donald Trump Fires Back at “Dump Trump” Petition, CHER Fires Back at Trump and Macy’s!

Oh the deliciousness that Donald Trump is finally feeling the heat over his “birther teatard” insanity over the past two years.

Yesterday we reported that over a half a million people have signed a petition aimed at Macy’s to “Dump Trump” and his outsourced manufactured clothing line.

Well Trump and his spokesman is feeling the heat and are  firing back at the petition’s creator:

“What I find incredulous is that the creator of the petition is protecting his First Amendment right to free speech while simultaneously trying to impede upon Mr. Trump’s,” Michael Cohen, executive vice president and special counsel to Trump, told Celebuzz. “It’s ironic.”
“I question the legitimacy and accuracy of the website and the number of signatures claimed to have joined this petition,” he added. “Regardless, The Trump Organization values its longstanding relationship with Macy’s and looks forward to many more years of continued success.”

And then the one and only CHER  entered the fray:

“I’ll NEVER GO TO MACY’S AGAIN!  I didn’t know they sold Donald Trump’s Line! If they don’t care that they sell products from a LOUDMOUTH RACIST CRETIN, WHO’D LIE LIKE “HIS RUG” TO GET SOME CHEAP PRESS!  I CANT BELIEVE MACY’S THINKS HE’S THE RIGHT “MAN” 2  REPRESENT THEIR NAME!”

Poor Donald Trump’s freedom of speech suppressed. I mean really, when do we ever get to hear from him?

What I find incredible is that Donald Trump is supposedly so wealthy hires a spokesman who doesn’t know the difference between “incredulous” and “incredible”. Not surprising that one idiot hires another.

Half A MILLION People Sign Petition for Macy’s to “Dump Trump”

A petition that was started at SignOn.org after the 2012 Election calling for Macy’s to dump Donald Trump after his outrageous behavior leading up to and during election night  has gathered nearly a half million signatures.

The petition written by Angelo Carusone states:

Macy’s: Donald Trump does not reflect the “magic of Macy’s.” We urge you to sever ties with him. Macy’s says it has a strong obligation to be “socially responsible” and that “actions speak louder than words.” Indeed. It’s time to act.

Adds Carusone:

Macy’s has a special deal with Donald Trump. They invest in developing Trump’s brand and sell his clothing line and fragrance at their locations. To this end, they have had major events at Macy’s Herald Square location and they often feature and promote Trump in advertisements designed to celebrate the magic of Macy’s. Recently, Macy’s CEO Terry Lundgren sent Donald Trump a letter touting how excited Macy’s was to be working with Trump and promising to expand Trump’s brand even further than it already is. But, why is Macy’s celebrating Trump?

Both Macy’s and NBC need to get over thinking that Donald Trump is such a  big “draw”.  After this last election Trump is nothing more than a laughingstock and the backlash against birthers, the Tea Party and the GOP is going to be huge and have severe ramifications for those involved with them over the next few years.  Their socially irresponsible almost psychotic behavior. greed, misogyny and hate was well exposed the past few months and they will suffer for it.

It would be in Macy’s best interest to “Dump Trump” before they become a distant memory like Gimbles.
