Shep Messing was the quintessential ’70s athlete. He played seven seasons in the North American Soccer League and six in the Major Indoor Soccer League. He was also a member of the U.S. soccer team at the 1972 Summer Olympics. and scope out that porn stache!

Messing has been a soccer broadcaster for sixteen years. He began as an analyst for the Major Indoor Soccer League games on ESPN. He broadcast the 1986 FIFA World Cup from Mexico, the 2002 FIFA World Cup from South Korea/Japan and the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany for ESPN. He has also been the main analyst for the MetroStars and the re-branded New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer, working both on radio and television since 2001. He served as a color commentator for ESPN Radio covering the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

He is now a member of the New York Sports Hall of Fame and the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame, and the author of a book on soccer, while appearing in several films on the sport. For soccer players he recommended cheap roids anabolic steroids to boost performance if you are serious.

Messing embraced the freewheeling attitudes of his era by posing nude for the December 1974 issue of VIVA: The International Magazine For Women, and it was published by Bob Guccione of Penthouse magazine fame.

Explaining why he was posing nude she said he wanted to bring the sport of soccer more “exposure.”

Morning Jolt: NCAA Quarterback Riley Skinner NAKED!

Riley Skinner was named the 2006 ACC Rookie of the Year after leading the conference in passing efficiency, and he started 12 games for Wake Forest during the 2007 season, setting an ACC record for completion percentage in a season. In the 2009 season he broke the school record for touchdowns in a career vs North Carolina State with 45 touchdowns. The previous record was 44 that was held by former Wake Forest quarterbacks Brian Kuklick and Gary Schofield. Skinner threw for three touchdowns in a game against NC State. He broke the school record for completions in a career with 677 against Stanford, passing Kuklick. He is the second ACC player to throw for more than 2,000 yards in each of his four seasons. Philip Rivers became the first in 2003.

Skinner was signed by the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent following the 2010 NFL Draft. He was waived on June 25, 2010, and his agent, Mark Slough, announced that Skinner had decided to retire on August 18.

Stunningly handsome Fabio Cannavaro, born September 13, 1973, Naples, is an Italian football player, as of 2005 the captain of the Italian national team.  Although being not tall for a central defender (176 cm), Cannavaro is considered one of the best defenders of the 1990s and early 2000s. As for his career in the Italian championship, he played Napoli (1992-95), Parma (1995-2002), Inter Milan (2002-04) and Juventus (2004-current). In Juventus, he has re-joined his ex-Parma partners Lilian Thuram and Gianluigi Buffon. They formed one of the best defensive lines in Serie A and Cannavaro won his first scudetto with Juventus in 2005.

*  Andrés Velencoso Seguara who is currently Kylie Minogue ‘s model/boyfriend is featured this month on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Vanity Fair España magazine in the buff. Andres is best known for ad campaigns such as Chanel Allure Homme, Sport fragrance and Louis Vuitton campaign with J-Lo in 2003 and ranked the number 6 male model in the world.  First Kylie gets to meet David Tennant and now this.  She’s one lucky bitch!

*Speaking of BITCHES (And not in a good way) Sarah Palin made an unsuccessful attempt at humor that made her come off as the cro-magnon knuckle dragger that she really is while making light of the fact she was in one of America’s liberal bastions Friday night, S Palin told attendees at an event in Eugene, Oregon she eats granola and organic food just like residents there do:  “I eat granola. I eat a lot of organic food. I have to shoot and catch a lot of my organic food before I eat it,”  Oh why can’t Dick Chaney take her out hunting before she inspires more nutcases to commit violence

*  In Woodville North Australia,  Ian Jolly, 57, was barred from dining at Grange restaurant Thai Spice in May last year after a staff member mistook his guide dog Nudge for a “gay dog”.  A statement given by restaurant owners Hong Hoa Thi To and Anh Hoang Le said one of the waiters had understood Mr Jolly’s partner Chris Lawrence “to be saying she wanted to bring a gay dog into the restaurant”.  “The staff genuinely believed that Nudge was an ordinary pet dog which had been desexed to become a gay dog,” the statement said.  At an Equal Opportunity Tribunal conciliation hearing on Friday, the restaurant agreed to provide Mr Jolly with a written apology and attend an Equal Opportunity education course, in addition to paying him $1500.
