AFTAH’s Peter LaBarbera: ‘Gay Activists’ are ‘Doing to Christians’ what ‘Nazis Used to Do to the Jews’

The ever annoying and increasingly irrelevant D-List hate group leader Peter LaBarbera on Americans for Truth About Homosexuality Radio Hour once again hosted Liberty University’s resident junk scientist Judith Reisman, who after telling LaBarbera about her time working on music for “Captain Kangaroo,” went on to say that anti-gay bullying and gay youth suicides are complete myths based on “ignorance” and that many kids “are going to be very susceptible to the homosexual urging” because children are taught that “homosexuality was being discriminated against.”

But it didn’t take long for “Porno Pete” and “Junkyard Judy” to go straight to Nazi comparisons with LaBarbera warning that the “homosexual activists” who control Hollywood are “demonizing [Christians] like the Nazis used to do to the Jews.” Reisman eagerly agreed and likened public education in the US to schools in Hitler’s Germany and said that just as Nazis put up Hitler posters instead of the Ten Commandments, “here in the United States we removed the Ten Commandments but we didn’t put up Hitler we put up the AIDS posters, which is just as telling, isn’t it?”

Right Wing Watch transcript:

LaBarbera: Homosexual activists in many ways drive our culture, they decide what’s going to be in a movie, we see all the portrayals, homosexuals are the most positively portrayed in the movies and on TV, Christians are often negatively portrayed and stereotyped. In many ways, in fact Judith you are Jewish, I think you’re starting to see Hollywood what they’re doing to Christians and to people of faith who actually adhere to traditional values, they’re demonizing them like the Nazis used to do to the Jews. They would compare Jews to rats and we see these vicious, ugly caricatures of Christians coming out of Hollywood. How did we go from that in such a short amount of time to homosexuality being deviant conduct which wasn’t spoken about to now driving our culture?

Reisman: You answered it. I mean it’s not that much time when you think that Germany, Hitler’s Germany, I think was twenty years that went from a basically conservative German culture to the films being controlled by—I forgot which one—and the films being made that described what you are now describing for Christians well that was what they were doing for Jews and actually they included Christians in there quite often too, and the schools were taken over by the fascist government and the children were told that their parents, who were old-fashioned, were old-fashioned and you know you don’t have to tell your parents, you mustn’t tell your parents, what you’re learning here in school. They gutted the libraries of anything that was Christian in belief and they pulled down the Ten Commandments. You had the Ten Commandments all over the walls of the schools in Germany, just like we had in the United States of America, and so they had removed all the Ten Commandments and they put up of course Hitler. Well here in the United States we removed the Ten Commandments but we didn’t put up Hitler we put up the AIDS posters, which is just as telling, isn’t it?

Human Rights Campaign STILL Loves Obama But Says Democratic Congress Isn’t Pro-Gay – Shovel That S**t To Cover Your Epic Fail!

HRC and CAP’s Winnie Stachelberg. (She’s a self-appointed leader , as they ALL are, of the LGBT movement, having concocted the controversial and complicated “certification” language in the DADT repeal compromise.) publically gave Obama high words of praise today in today’s Washington Post for finding creative ways to unravel policies that she said have long been unfair to gays. “This administration has really opened up the toolbox that it alone has access to, to address the problems faced by gays and lesbians,” she said.

And, then we have Fred Sainz, a spokesperson for the D.C.-based Human Rights Campaign, says that attention must be paid to the fact that significant strides are being made. “We have largely been in the wilderness the past 40 years since Stonewall. To see this much progress in one and half years makes your head spin.”

Well Fred your head may be spinning over Easter Egg rolls and the ambassador to Samoa but not mine.  What President Obama has done is given us a growing list of small tidbits. He’s given us the table scraps of the civil rights movement. Tasty morsels to be sure, but hardly the meal we were promised.

Stanz and HRC then have the nerve to using the White House line (“oh but for the Congress we could fulfill all your dreams”).

“People wrongly assume that having Democratic majorities in Congress means that your legislative goals will be met. That’s not the case,” Sainz said. Gay constituents are hardly the only member of the Democratic bloc to come up disappointed with this White House. Environmental groups groan as a comprehensive climate bill has languished on the Hill. Organized labor saw its signature legislation, which would make it easier for workers to form unions, go nowhere without the White House’s backing. And women’s groups were in open revolt during the debate over the health care overhaul because of anti-abortion provisions

Well,  you know what Freddy boy?  Congress ain’t gonna get any better for a long time. So if HRC is giving the President and the Congress a pass on our legislative agenda – and that is what they just did, they gave the President and the congressional leadership cover by “admitting” that we can’t expect them to keep their legislative promises – then what’s the point of all of this? We now can only expect these executive branch half-measures that will likely be overturned by the next President? That’s all we’re getting?  Excuse me for being under-fucking-whelmed.

The interminable excuses, while we have, for the first time in a generation, a Democratic president and Congress, are maddening. If HRC, the President and the Congress couldn’t pull it off with the overwhelming majorities in Congress, and the absurdly popular presidency, we handed them in 2008, then we really are doomed.

What an EPIC FAIL!
