Sidney Nsubuga Enoch22, committed the crime after Kato stating that Kato repeatedly made sexual advances him, according to the prosecution evidence. The body of the deceased was discovered in a house by one Kizza Akram, who had earlier left the duo together.

The hunt for Nsubuga culminated in his arrest when he was spotted by residents in Mukono district, who alerted the police. He was arrested after which he admitted to the murder charges brought against him.

For those of you who don;t remember.  Kato was murdered shortly after anti-gay lunatic Scott Lively and Exodus International went to Uganda to stoke the flames of homophobia and gay hatred and who many think that their harmful anti-gay rhetoric is directly responsible for this crime

Anti-Gay Group Exodus international Responsible For Murder Of Ugandan Activist David Kato Releases Statement

Exodus International, which promotes “the message of Freedom from homosexuality through the power of Jesus Christ”,  president and still gay Alan Chambers, whose board of directors member Don Schmierer is one of the three American evangelicals blamed for the explosion in anti-gay violence and legislation in Uganda released a statement today about the murder of LGBT Ugandan activist David Kato.

“The leadership of Exodus international and its member ministries are grieved over the tragic murder of Ugandan gay activist David Kato and we send our sincerest condolences to his family & friends.  Exodus International calls on President & Mrs. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to lead their government into an era of treating all of their neighbors as they would like to be treated. It is abominable that a nation with Christian leadership would endorse or allow anyone to be brutally murdered. In the words of Jesus Himself, those who are without sin cast the first stone. Exodus International condemns the murder of David Kato and calls for justice to be fairly applied, not covered up, when the murderers are caught.” – Alan Chambers, president of Exodus International.

Exodus International  had been warned that what they were a party to in Uganda and would likely bring about the consequences that it has indeed gone on to produce:  By March 1, 2010 Exodus/International, Chambers and Schmierer were told that the conference would be political in nature, would likely result in physical harm to gay Ugandans. Exodus International was well aware of the consequences that its anti-gay campaign in Uganda could bring.

It is time that these hateful anti-gay chritomaniacs be held accountable for thier action and learn that if you hand a person a weapon and tell them who to kill, you are just as guilty as the murderer.
