The owner of the gay web blog Fabulis found that without warning CitiBank had blocked the sites bank acCount because of “objectionable content.”  ( BTW, Fabulis IS NOT a porn blog.)

“Do I think Citibank or Citigroup is a homophobic malicious company? No. Do I think some compliance officer is a moron who made a really stupid decision? Yes. Three hours of trying to sort this out provided even more comedic insanity than I even revealed on the blog post. Including a bank manager who didn’t want to talk about this because she was uncomfortable talking about the content of our blog over a recorded phone conversation.”

Well the Citi may never sleep but it it also doesn’t seem to provide diversity training either.

Three days later someone who is sane at CitiBank reponded and it was finally sorted out,.

But lets hope the homphobic employee’s involved are treated and reprimanaded in the same way that they would if they discriminated against an African American, Hispanic, or Asian Blogger,

In simple words……..FIRE THEIR ASSES!
