Christian Conversion Therapy Camp Owners Charged W/ Trafficking, Abuse and Forced Labor Of Underage Boys

NBC – KX0N News affiliate reports:

More than a year after boys were removed from a nonprofit in Burnet County, the couple who ran it are facing trafficking charges. A grand jury indicted Gary Wiggins, 49, and his wife Meghann Wiggins, 34, on Trafficking of Persons charges.

They are both accused of “knowingly” trafficking four underage boys and “through force, fraud or coercion” making them “engage in forced labor or services.” The two ran Joshua Home, which officials described as a place that “purports to be a residential home for troubled boys.”

According to the indictment, the trafficking allegedly occurred between May 17, 2018 and July 25, 2018. Eight boys between the ages of 10 and 17 were removed after a multi-agency investigation into allegations of abuse, neglect, labor violations, fraud, licensing violations and human trafficking.

The couple had previously run the Blessed Hope Boys Academy in Robertsdale, Ala., in 2016 which was closed after a 20/20 investigation in which boys who’d been sent there spoke out against the abuse that included forced exercise, solitary confinement, withholding food, and various conversion therapy torture tactics.

One boy Lucas Greenfield who was sent there for being gay told 20/20 Lucas Greenfield whose mother sent him to Blessed Hope because he is gay, told 20/20 that Gary Wiggins regularly beat they boys. “He took off his belt and started swinging,” and told them: “I’m going to get the demon out of you and make you straight.”

The Wiggins’ remain in custody at the Burnet County Jail. They are both being held on $100,000 bond.

Leader McConnell has announced that next week, the Senate will vote on the Obamacare Repeal Reconciliation Act, the same 2015 Obamacare repeal bill that Congress successfully passed and put on former President Obama’s desk, who vetoed it! Now, we finally have a president in Donald Trump who will sign this legislation!

Like the 2015 bill, the Obamacare Repeal Reconciliation Act would repeal several key pillars of Obamacare and eliminate for one year more than $390 million (over 86 percent) of over $450 million in annual federal funding to Planned Parenthood. The bill would also repeal Obamacare’s premium tax credits that currently provide over $8.7 billion in annual subsidies for nearly 1,000 health care plans that cover elective abortion. This violates the principles of the Hyde Amendment, which restricts federal subsidies for elective abortion services or coverage. Most of the bill’s repeal provisions would take effect in 2020, after a two-year delay. Congress then will have time to work on a separate replace bill.

In order for the Senate to get to the Obamacare Repeal Reconciliation Act, at least 50 Senators must first support a procedural vote to overcome Senate Democrats’ opposition to even considering the bill. All but one Republican senator holding office today previously voted for the same repeal bill in 2015. We cannot let Senate Republicans betray the American people by going back their promise to repeal Obamacare and defund Planned Parenthood.

On Wednesday, the Congressional Budget Office issued a report that estimated the effects of the Senate bill that Perkins writes about, which would repeal most of Obamacare without immediately replacing it with a new health-care law. would increase the number of people without health insurance by 32 million people above the number that would be uninsured if the current law remained in place.

The repeal bill also would double insurance premiums in the individual plan market and leave up to three-quarters of the United States without an insurer selling such plans by 2026.

Chicago Grade School BANS "Christian" Promoter From Staging "Hell House" Featuring PULSE Massacre Victims

 

Windy City Times reports:

A Far South Side grade school will not co-host a haunted house that contained, among other depictions, a representation of the June 2016 shootings at the Pulse nightclub, according to CPS officials. Fernwood Elementary School, 10041 S. Union Ave., was advertised by promoters as the location of a haunted house entitled The Room: A Journey to Hell that was scheduled to take place the evenings of Oct. 29 and Oct. 30. Fernwood was also initially listed as a co-sponsor of the event.

Advertised as a “Christian interactive experience,” the event is produced by Tyrone Tappler Productions. On Aug. 31, the company asked on Facebook for volunteers who’d depict the victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting: “Club Pulse, Dancers, Victims … CAGED PEOPLE/SCREAMERS, Extras needed trying to escape a cage! … SOUNDS INTERESTING? COME OUT THIS SATURDAY!!!”

Among other scenarios reportedly depicted in the haunted house were a botched abortion and the 2015 Charleston church shooting. According to the ticket sales page, The Room “is a real life haunted house. Guests will experience IN YOUR FACE scenes of dark reality. … You will walk in 10 Rooms and encounter individuals who will make choices. The choice is life or death; sin or salvation; heaven or hell. The scenes will be action-packed, real and jaw dropping.”

The “event” which is obviously a take on traditional Christian “hell houses” which are haunted attractions typically run by evangelical Christian churches or parachurch organizations. They depict real-life situations of what they consider sin and the torments of the damned in Hell, and usually conclude with a depiction of Heaven.

After discovering what they were planning to do, a spokesperson for the Chicago Public Schools said that the event would no longer take place at the elementary school that was rented out for the occasion:

CPS spokesman Michael Passman told Windy City Times in an Oct. 28 email that the event will not take place at Fernwood.

“The event organizers mischaracterized the true content of the event, and we did not approve any association with the activities the organizers have now advertised,” said Passman. “The event will not be held on CPS property.”

In 2001 a documentary was directed by George Ratliff that focuses on the idea of a hell house, a Christian-themed haunted attraction, in Cedar Hill, Texas. The film follows the youth group of the Cedar Hill Trinity Church, documenting the work involved in creating the hell house, the performances themselves, and the personal lives of some of the participants.

Homemade Bomb Explodes In TARGET Woman's Room in Evanston, Illinois

A  homemade bomb exploded in the women’s bathroom at a Target store in Evanston on Wednesday night , with officials investigating whether it’s connected to “Christian” protestors who have been harassing the company’s new policy allowing transgender people to use the bathroom and changing rooms  of their choice.

Commander Joe Dugan says no one was inside the bathroom when the small explosion happened a little after 4 o’clock. It caused minor damage and no one was injured. Early indications are that a plastic bottle was used but no projectiles like nails or tacks were inside it. Investigators are gathering evidence including examining store security camera video.

Target has been under attack recently for its stand on allowing people in the LGBT community to choose whichever bathroom they identify mostly with, either male or female, stating the company welcomes, “transgendered team members and guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity.”

Supposedly 700,000 people signed an online petition promising to boycott Target, shareholders meeting have been crashed by extremist religious leaders, and “Christian” protestors (aka Street Screechers) have protested individual stores using bullhorns denouncing Target and LGBT community in the name of God.

Crazed Woman In Walmart Berates Man With Child For Using Food Stamps: “I’m paying for your food” – Video

A video posted on YouTube shows a crazed woman at a Walmart store loudly berating a man who was paying for his groceries with food stamps while his young son sits in the cart watching.

“You know, I put in 50-60 hour weeks… trying to provide for my family,” the man says.

“You’re not providing for it, I am,” the woman snaps back. “The government is.”

“You’re not,” the man says.

“They take it out of my check,” the woman says. “Bullshit they don’t.”

The man suggests she complain to her lawmaker or vote Republican.

“Oh, trust me, I am not a bleeding heart fucking liberal,” the woman answers.

The rest of the clip contains a similar back-and-forth, punctuated with expletives.

“Deal with it, bitch,” the man says at one point.

At another point, the woman claims the man must be a supporter of Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.

“That’s exactly what you vote for, they give it to you so that you vote that way,” the woman says. “I’m not stupid. I have a degree. I’m pretty damn smart.”

There are a number of reports recently of shoppers confronted in stores over their use of food stamps.

Ironically, the woman in the new video who is complaining about food stamps is shopping at Walmart — a retail chain where wages are so low that many workers qualify for public assistance.

Also ironically there’s a 99% chance that the woman identifies as a Christian. WWJD? Not fucking that.

So-called “Pastor”Flip Benham, father of the anti-gay tow-headed twins who were booted the HGTV network after their homophobia and bigotry were exposed , joined two other “Christian” protesters over the weekend to scream insults at same-sex couples  marrying outside a North Carolina courthouse.

Three anti-LGBT protesters were present outside the register’s office, including well-known street preacher and convicted stalker Flip Benham. He interrupted several couples’ weddings as supporters held up a large rainbow flag to block his view. Another protester waved a bible in the air as he screamed several profanities and vulgarities. He was asked by sheriff’s deputies to tone it down or leave. He opted for the latter. Despite the protesters, those gathered celebrated at each of the several weddings held outside the register’s office.

Nothing screams “Christian” more than waving a bible and yelling Fuck You!

Idaho Bill Would Allow Fireman, Doctors and Cops To Refuse LGBT’s Services On Religious Grounds

Idaho Senate GOP Rep. Lynn Luker outlined a proposal Tuesday backed by his conservative Christian allies to shield religious people from the threat of losing their professional licenses for refusing service or employment to anyone they conclude violates their religious beliefs.

“This is pre-emptive,” said Luker, a Boise Republican. “The issue is coming, whether it’s 10 years, or 15 years, or two years.”

Idaho requires professional licenses for doctors, nurses, pharmacists, attorneys, social workers, firefighters, police officers, real estate agents, and insurance providers.

He cited efforts by LGBT activists in other states to end discrimination against them – including two cases where same-sex couples in Oregon and New Mexico were denied service at a bakery for their wedding cake or wedding photographs – as his motivation to act quickly in Idaho.

Unlike those two states, Idaho’s Human Rights Act offers no protections for LGBT people, and Republican lawmakers have resisted efforts to include them.

The Cornerstone Family Council who is associated with Focus on the Family is backing Luker’s proposal, which is now awaiting a full hearing, to prevent the state from passing laws to block people from “living out their faith.”

“The free expression of religious freedom is no longer understood for what it was intended,” said Julie Lynde, executive director of  Cornerstone. “There’s a double standard against people of traditional religious faiths.”

If Luker’s proposal is passed into law, it would prevent the bureau or boards from revoking the license of any professional who declined “to provide or participate in providing any service that violates the person’s sincerely held religious beliefs.”

However, Luker noted, emergency personnel couldn’t refuse to treat someone and does not authorize the “the intentional infliction of emotional or physical injury.”

He also added that the measure protects only an individual’s license, and that employers would not be prohibited from firing workers who violated workplace policies.

A spokeswoman for the state’s American Civil Liberties Union said she couldn’t think of any previous issues this bill would address.

“This is a solution searching for a problem,” said Monica Hopkins, executive director of ACLU of Idaho.

Can’t wait until they usher in Sharia law in Idaho. In for a penny, in for a pound.

Self-professed fecal draft-dodger Ted Nugent, who is not racist because he profits from black music, was interviewed by Guns.com at the almost-aptly-named SHOT Show 2014 about a variety of topics, and had a few more choice words for President Obama, whom Nugent once said (from a distance) should “suck on my machine gun.” Toward the end of the interview, Nugent referred to the President as a “subhuman mongrel” and a “chimpanzee,” while also asserting that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has “spare scrotums.”

And remember kids during the 2012 presidential campaign, Republican nominee Mitt Romney sought, and received, an endorsement from from Nugent. Nugent was also a Republican Congressman’s guest at the 2013 State of the Union Address.

Detroit should be ashamed.

Pat Robertson Responds: I Only Said That Because Gays Were Trying To Infect Me With AIDS

“I was asked by a viewer whether she had a right to leave her church because she had been asked to transport an elderly man who had AIDS and about whose condition she had not been informed. My advice was that the risk of contagion in those circumstances was quite low and that she should continue to attend the church and not worry about the incident.

In my own experience, our organization sponsored a meeting years ago in San Francisco where trained security officers warned me about shaking hands because, in those days, certain AIDS-infected activists were deliberately trying to infect people like me by virtue of rings which would cut fingers and transfer blood.

I regret that my remarks had been misunderstood, but this often happens because people do not listen to the context of remarks which are being said. In no wise (sic) were my remarks meant as an indictment of the homosexual community or, for that fact, to those infected with this dreadful disease.” – Pat Robertson, in a statement emailed by his head publicist for the 700 Club.

There is absolutely no way that Robertson’s original comment could have been misinterpreted.

By Robertson using the excuse that he wasn’t spreading a vicious, disgusting lie about people currently infected with AIDS but was spreading a vicious, disgusting lie about people who were infected with AIDS years ago again is disgusting and proves that he’s well aware that it is indeed a hateful piece of anti-gay propaganda land has no problem using it until caught.
