Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley Mock Donald Trump at the Country Music Awards – Video

Last nights’ Country Music Awards issued a pre-show warning guideline last night explicitly stated to avoid  the topics of politics,  guns and the Las Vegas Route 91 Harvest festival shooting.show.  But that did not stop last night’s hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Under.

Paisley, however, wasn’t interested offering songs such as “Way Down Yonder on the Scaramucci,” “She Wrote a Memoir, Hillary’s Back” and “Stand By Your Manafort.”

But one song  a parody of Underwood’s “Before He Cheats” about President Trump should have walked away with its own award last night

“Right now, he’s probably in his PJs, watching cable news, reaching for his cellphone. He’s probably asking Siri how in the hell you spell Pocahontas. In the middle of the night from the privacy of a good-plated White House toilet seat, he writes little Bob Corker, NFL and covfefe. And it’s fun to watch until little rocket man starts a nuclear war. Maybe next time he’ll think before he tweets.”

Carrie Underwood Responds To The “Christian” Rights Criticism Of Her Pro-LGBT Equality Statement

“I was asked a difficult question in the last five minutes of an interview and I answered it the best way I knew how, and after that I do what I do and I love making music and I generally try to stay out of any kind of controversy.

The role-model word is really scary to me, because no matter what happens in your life, something you do, wear, say, sing, whatever — somebody somewhere is probably not going to like it too well,” “I just really try hard to do what I do and try to be nice to people and make great music and if people think they can look up to that, that’s wonderful.  If not, that’s OK too.” – Carrie Underwood Source: The Advocate

Country Music Superstar Carrie Underwood Supports LGBT Equality, Slams Hateful “Christians”

“As a married person myself, I don’t know what it’s like to be told I can’t marry somebody I love, and want to marry. I can’t imagine how that must feel. I definitely think we should all have the right to love, and love publicly, the people that we want to love. Our church is gay friendly. Above all, God wanted us to love others. It’s not about setting rules, or [saying] ‘everyone has to be like me’. No. We’re all different. That’s what makes us special. We have to love each other and get on with each other. It’s not up to me to judge anybody.” – From an interview with the Independent  when talking about Carrie’s first UK tour.

Also in the  interview, Carrie  condemned “people who use the Bible for hate”, adding:   “That’s not how I would want myself as a Christian to be represented.”
