Lesbian Kitty Lambert Denied Wedding License With Femaile Partner Turns To Crowd And Weds Male Stranger In Protest (Video)

In Buffalo, New York yesterday lesbian Kitty Lambert and her longtime partner Cheryl attempted to apply for a marriage license and were flatly turned down.  After an impassioned speech Kitty turned to the crowd of onlookers and asked for any male who would be willing to get married to her. A gay man named Ed stepped forward and volunteered. They briefly exchanged information and presented the appropriate documents along with $40. City staff verified the information, and proceeded to give them a marriage license.

Kitty made her point and it was fucking brillant.  She  proved that in approaching the City Clerk for a marriage license that there is no religious basis for marriage, and it serves only as a legally binding contract in our society. Instead of being offered the ability to receive a license with her long-term partner, she was able to secure a license with a virtual stranger, strictly based on their gender.

This is the type of PSA commercial we need playing on television.  It makes such a stronger point than “hearts and minds” and “kiss in”.

Bravo Kitty!

Back2Stonewall salutes you.

THINK PINK! – Pink Snow Falls On Buffalo, New York. A Message From God To Stop The Hate? (Video)

In Buffalo, New York a recent rash of violent anti-gay hate crimes have stunned the area. On New Years Eve Lindsey Harmon was attacked leaving a popular lesbian nightclub. She was stabbed in the eye after being hit with a barrage of anti-gay slurs. She’s still recovering from her injuries. Twelve hours earlier a 20-year old man was attacked at walden galleria by two women. The assault happened allegedly because they believed he was gay. Now those two women are facing charges. So on Saturday night close to three hundred people took to the streets in Buffalo’s Allentown neighborhood to call for an end to hate.

But they aren’t the only ones calling for the halt of the violence aganst the LGBT Community.   Yesterday an omen appeared in Buffalo streets as snow in certain neighborhoods turned a deep shade of PINK!

OH HOW GAY!

State health and environmental officials are trying to pass it off as an accident caused by a demolition contractor said a pipe that contained about five pounds of residual red dye No. 40 ruptured at a building being torn down and the powder was carried by the winds.

But I prefer to think of it as a warning sign from God saying:

LEAVE THE LGBT COMMUNITY ALONE OR I WILL SMITE YOU GOOD!

AND THINK PINK!

Third Hate Crime In Buffalo, N.Y. – Gay Man Attacked On Chicago "L"

In a disturbing trend everyday more and more hate crimes against the LGBT Community seem to be happening.

Tuesday Christopher Rudow (pictured above right) was found murdered in his aprtment in Buffalo, N.Y. apartment.  Chris, moved from New York City to Buffalo about six years ago to assist with the opening of a new GEICO call center in Amherst.  Police discovered his body in his apartment in the Lofts at Elk Terminal in Buffalo. He died of blunt force trauma. This  comes on the heels of two other cases involving hate crime charges in Buffalo since only January 1st.

On early Sunday morning Daniel Hauff (pictured above right) was “badly beaten” by men who called him “stupid faggot” on the Chicago “L” train

According to the Chicago Tribune:

“Daniel Hauff, 33, said he tried to quell a dispute between two men on the train when one of them, joined by two other riders, began yelling gay slurs and other taunts at him. Hauff said he pressed the emergency intercom, and the conductor came. But the conductor soon left, Hauff said, and the train started moving again. Hauff said the men beat him while the train was between the Wilson and Argyle stops. ‘And I never once threw a punch,’ Hauff said. ‘It’s just not in my nature.’ Hauff said he got away by wiping some of his blood on the attackers and telling them he was HIV-positive, which was not true. Police said three men were arrested in the 1100 block of West Argyle Street for misdemeanor battery and ‘making disparaging comments,’ though the report had nothing specific about anti-gay comments. Police said the suspects were released Sunday on bail. Hauff said he was released from a hospital around 6 a.m. He said his face, chest, back, knee and foot were in pain, but nothing was broken.”

A witness reportedly photographed the beating on his phone. Hauff faults the conductor for leaving the scene too quickly.

The world is going crazy and I cannot stress enough that at times like these the importance of protecting ourselves in these times.  Travel in pairs or groups, take self defense classes, carry protection (other than a condom) and be prepared to use it.

Remember your safety comes first.
