“Gay Water” Canned Adult Cocktail Beverage Launches.

Gay Water’s social media and website, includes a provocative nod to the 12-ounce can’s 6.1-inch height.

Gay Water’s creator Spencer Hoddeson wants to de-stigmatize the word ‘gay’ and start to create representation in spaces that traditionally don’t have queer-owned products, let alone products with the word ‘gay’ in their title,” Hoddeson told The Post.

In a sea of canned cocktails, Gay Water wants to stand out. Launching Thursday is a brightly colored canned vodka and soda beverage that proudly displays who it’s for, instead of backing off from support for the LGBTQ+ community as other companies have done in recent months.

In other words, where Bud Light has buckled under pressure as bigotry grows against the LGBTQ+ community, Gay Water’s creator Spencer Hoddeson wants his new boozy brand to be the antithesis of that.

The canned cocktail is named after a colloquialism given to the popular mixed drink (vodka and soda) ordered at bars by the gay community. It’s also one of the few openly queer-owned alcohol brands, which Hoddeson said sparked him to create because he wanted more representation in the category.

The cans — which, upon launch, are currently being sold primarily online — are available in six- and 12-packs for $18.25 and $36.50, respectively. The six-packs only come in a single flavor — lime — while the 12-packs feature a mix of watermelon, lime, peach, and grapefruit.

Haters’ New Favorite Beer MODELO Has A 100% LGBT Diversity Score and Partners With Gay Groups.

Haha! Seems that the haters can’t catch a break. Happy Pride!

Modelo Especial, a Mexican beer, is now officially America’s favorite after the Bud Light Boycott by the GOP and rabid right-wing groups. But if anti-LGBTQ activists think they were successful in making their point, they may be sorry to learn Constellation Brands which manufactures Modelo has shown its support for LGBT+ rights even more than Bud Light and AB InBev.

Modelo Especial, a Mexican beer, is now officially America’s favorite. The beverage, marketed by Constellation Brands, was the top-selling beer for May, with 8.6% of all beer sales in the US, overtaking the long-time market leader Bud Light, an Anheuser-Busch (AB InBev) brand.

But if anti-LGBTQ activists think they were successful in making their point, they may be sorry to learn Constellation Brands has shown its support for LGBTQ rights even more than AB InBev. And so has Molson Coors, the maker of Coors Light, and Miller Lite.

Constellation Brands partners with Stonewall Sports, for instance, an organization promoting LGBTQ representation in sports. It was also listed as a top place to work for LGBTQ people several times over the years, and most recently in 2022, scoring 100/100 in the Human Rights Campaign’s Equality Index.

Coors Light, Budweiser, Miller Light, and Michelob Ultra are other companies that have created LGBT-friendly campaigns for Pride month. However, they did not face a backlash similar to Bud Light.

Toronto Blue Jays Drop Pitcher Anthony Bass Over Anti-LGBT Posts and Comments.

Toronto Blue Jays Drop Pitcher Anthony Bass Over Anti-LGBT Posts and Comments.

The Toronto Blue Jays have stepped up to the plate and cut “Christian” pitcher Anthony Bass, on Friday. Bass made headlines last week after sharing a post on social media that called for anti-LGBT+ boycotts of Target and Bud Light. The shared post described the sale of LGBT+ merchandise as “evil” and “demonic.”

In an interview on Thursday Bass said he chose to delete the post because “it was the right thing to do” and because he didn’t want it to be a distraction to the team. “But I stand by my personal beliefs,” Bass said, “and everyone is entitled to their personal beliefs, right? Also, I mean no harm towards any groups of people.”

“My focus from the get-go should have been doing my job and being accepting of everyone’s decisions and views in life,” Bass said. “Through this process, I’ve learned that. Moving forward, I will definitely know better than to post my personal beliefs on my social media platforms.”

And with that backhanded non-apology Bass was OUT.

Toronto general manager Ross Atkins said Friday that both the controversy and Bass’ on-field performance led to the move.

“Performance was a large aspect of the decision,” Atkins said. “Distraction was a small part of it and something we had to factor in.”

By designating Bass for assignment, the Blue Jays now have seven days to trade him or place him on irrevocable outright waivers.

Bud Light Announces Partnership With LGBT+ Business Owners Despite The Dylan Mulvaney Debacle.

Bud Light Announces Partnership With LGBT+ Business Owners Despite The Dylan Mulvaney Debacle.

Despite the massive backlash from conservatives and anti-LGBT+ slamming  Anheuser-Busch with claims of being “woke’. Bud Light announced on Tuesday, it would be extending its partnership with the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce which started last year. The brewing company is also donating $200,000 to the NGLCC for the second year in a row.

The statement says that the donation from Bud Light will go to NGLCC’s Communities of Color Initiative which supports LGBTQ+ owned businesses.

“Today, Bud Light and the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), the exclusive certifying body for LGBT-owned businesses, announce they are extending their partnership to continue supporting economic opportunities and advancements for LGBTQ+ Americans and business owners across the country,”

Anheuser-Busch stance on the controversy remains unclear as well as the actual specifics is any of Mulavey’s association with Bud Light which has seen massive dips in its sales in the past months, and it also suppossedly suspended a pair of executives in charge of promotion with Mulvaney, according to the New York Times.

Bud Light Announces Partnership With LGBT+ Business Owners Despite The Dylan Mulvaney Debacle.

HRC Lowered Bud’s Corporate Rating for Not Protecting Dylan Mulvaney. Meanwhile HRC Has Not Protected Us From Florida and the GOP.

So who’s going to downgrade HRC as the most do nothing and vapid LGBT org on the planet? WE MUST.

The Human Rights Campaign has given gave Bud Light’s parent company Anheuser-Busch top ratings for LGBTQ+ equality and diversity for decades. But now that has all changed.

The Human Rights Campaign informed Anheuser-Busch of its decision in a May letter after previously writing to the company in April, criticizing its response.

In a nutshell: Dylan Mulvaney a trans influencer said in a Vlog post that she liked Bud Light. Bud Light heard about it and sent her several souvenir 6 packs with her face on them as a thank you. Mulvaney then uploaded a vlog post showing the cans and not explaining anything. There was no advertising or spokesperson contract. Just some free 6 packs with her face on them. Cut the right-wing/propaganda sites that ran with it. And since most right-wing media is bankrolled by the GOP, unlike the stingy Dems and skinflints at HRC. The are numerous more websites to push anti-LGBT propaganda than to fight it.

“When we saw the company working with Dylan, that was a good sign. It was a sign of inclusion,” Jay Brown, SVP of programs, research, and training at HRC, and the signatory of both letters, told CNN. “What we were disturbed by was the company’s reaction once the backlash started happening.” But in reality, the company was not really “working with her”. And to be truthful Mulvaney never came forth with that information.

“At this moment, Anheuser-Busch must stand in solidarity with Dylan and the trans community,” he wrote at the time. “However, when faced with anti-LGBTQ+ and transphobic criticism, Anheuser-Busch’s actions demonstrate a profound lack of fortitude in upholding its values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.”

Annheiser Busch responded

“We remain committed to the programs and partnerships we have forged over decades with organizations to drive economic prosperity across a number of communities, including those in the LGBTQ+ community,” an Anheuser-Busch spokesperson said in response to a request for comment for this story.

Since the 1980s, Anheuser-Busch has been a major supporter of the LGBT community. The company has been a long-time sponsor of Pride events across the country n recent years, Budweiser has taken its support of the LGBT community a step further by becoming a major sponsor of the Equality Act, which would provide nationwide protections for LGBT people. In 2017, Budweiser even released a limited-edition Pride Can in support of the LGBT community.

Budweiser has learned a very valuable lesson. Never gift an influencer anything.

And as for the Human Rot Campaign turnabout id fair play: “In this moment, it is absolutely critical for the Human Rights Campaign to stand in solidarity and fight with the LGBTQ communities in Florida, Texas and other GOP controlled states. However, when faced with anti-LGBTQ+ issues, HRC’s inactions demonstrates a profound lack of fortitude in upholding its values of diversity, equity, and inclusion of it’s mission. And further proves it’s worthlessness to the community. and should be gone.

HRC Corporate Rating: SUB ZERO!

Bud Light Announces Partnership With LGBT+ Business Owners Despite The Dylan Mulvaney Debacle.

CHICAGO – Now Gay Bars Are Boycotting Bud Light Over The “Abandonment” of Dylan Mulvaney.

Okay. Now I really need a drink.

Some Chicago gay bars in Boystown (aka North Halstead) have stopped selling Anheuser Busch InBev products sating that the LGBT-friendly beer giant distanced itself from transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney’s Bud Light marketing campaign amid the anti-trans backlash. While Anheuser claims it was never a campaign.

Four gay bars from Uptown to Rogers Park, were the first to drop Anheuser-Busch by the 2Bears Tavern Group which owns them . Posted on Instagram Thursday the group states that its abandonment of Mulvaney amid controversy “shows how little Anheuser-Busch cares about the LGBTQIA+ community, and in particular transgender people, who have been under unrelenting attack in this country.”

Chicago’s historic Sidetracks bar founded by gay rights activist Art Johnston and Jose Pepé Peña, later made the same announcement.

“We must also hold brands accountable if they take active steps against LGBTQ+ equality, visibility and safety,” Sidetrack posted.

Anheuser-Busch CEO Michel Doukeris addressed the controversy during an earnings call with investors Thursday stating this was never a campaign but a special gift to Mulavey since the actual cans are not for sale blaming social media for running with the wrong story.

“We need to clarify the facts that this was one can, one influencer, one post and not a campaign,” Doukeris said.

The CEO also posted a statement in April saying the brand “never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people.”

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis:  I’m Going To Be The Next Ronald Reagan.

FLORIDA: Ron DeSantis Joins “Righteous” Boycott Of Bud Light, Drinks Pro-LGBT Guinness.

Perhaps DeSantis should return the $75,000 that Anheuser Busch donated to his campaign

In comments exclusive to “The Benny Show,” the Governor vowed never to drink the domestic lager again before offering another big reveal of his own: that his favorite brew isn’t even American.
“Why would you want to drink Bud Light? I mean, like, honestly that’s like them rubbing our faces in it and it’s like these companies that do this, if they never have any response, they’re just going to keep doing it. If you don’t have conservative beer drinkers, you’re going to feel that. And so, you know, I think it’s a righteous thing.”
While the Governor admitted he had been photographed drinking a normal Budweiser, he said he preferred Guinness Stout. “Years ago we went to Dublin and we’ve always been a fan ever since.”

What a Maroon.

GOP Rep Dan Crenshaw Goes After Bud Light, But Wait...

GOP Rep Dan Crenshaw Goes After Bud Light, But Wait, There’s More.

Dread Pirate Crenshaw jumped on the Bud Light Boycott bandwagon and it predictably blows up in his face

Via The Houston Chronical:

Houston-area Congressman Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) joined in on the wave of backlash to the commercial with an Instagram post over the weekend. In a video published to the platform on Sunday, Crenshaw vows to throw out all the Bud Light in his fridge—only to find it stuffed with Karbach.
“Saw Bud Light’s stupid ad campaign,” Crenshaw says in the video. “So guess what we’re going to do? We’re going to throw out every single Bud Light we’ve got in the fridge. Alright, well I guess that was easy,” Crenshaw remarks at the Bud Light-less scene.
Many on the internet were quick to point out that the Karbach filling Crenshaw’s fridge is owned by Bud Light parent company Anheuser-Busch Inbev.

Who’s gonna break the news to Danny boy that Karbach Brewing ‘Crawford Bock’ beers we saw in his fridge are also ‘woke’…?

UPDATE: Crenshaw has removed his post from Twitter. Guess someone told him.
