Texas Teenager Arrested for Murder After Using GRINDR To Lure Victims

Gay Texas City Councilman Removed From Office After Being Catfished On GRINDR For Nude Pics

Cross Coburn, a 19-year-old gay man who was elected as a councilman in Groves, Texas last year, was voted out of office this month after being catfished and blackmailed with his nude Grindr photos. A recall election took place on November 6th, and 62% of Groves citizens removed Coburn from office.

In 2017, Coburn ran unopposed for the council seat but in early 2018 Groves’ City Hall received an anonymous package full of nude photos of him that had sent to someone on the gay sex app Grindr, the photo were also sent to local news channels. The “scandal” resulted in a petition to have Coburn removed from office, claiming he couldn’t live up to the city’s high “moral standards.”

Coburn states that he was he was set up and blackmailed and that many signatures on the petition to remove him were forged. He also claims that Groves Mayor Brad Bailey and Councilman Kyle Hollier were behind the recall vote that claimed his job. When asked about the photo scandal in September, Bailey said that he believes public servants should be “held to a higher position”.

Texas Monthly suggested that Coburn was a victim of catfishing in an effort to remove him from office, as the photos were sent to local media after the city attorney mentioned in an internal email that only the citizens could remove Coburn in a recall election.

Coburn is now challenging the recall and has filed a complaint in the District Court of Jefferson County, claiming that the petition to remove him was was forged. He’s also asked the state attorney to investigate.

The Borscht Thickens: Former Brit MI6 Agent Prepared Trump Blackmail Dossier, John McCain Involved

Christopher Steele, a former British MI6 intelligence officer, has been identified in reports as the author of a dossier that claims Russia collated a file of compromising (ie Russian hookers and pee) information on Donald Trump.

Rohit Kachroo, security editor for NBC News British partner ITV News, reported that Steele, a former officer with MI6 who was posted to Moscow in 1990. The memo was originally generated on behalf of Republican party opponents of Trumps.

A two-page summary of the 35-page memo was included in supporting material prepared for the officials who briefed President-elect Trump on Friday about a U.S. intelligence report on Russia’s interference in the U.S. presidential elections, according to multiple officials. However, Trump was not orally briefed on the two-page “annex” outlining the allegations about him, according to a senior U.S. intelligence official with the knowledge of the preparation of the briefing. Trump said he learned the gist of the summary “outside that meeting.”

The two-page summary about the “unsubstantiated” material, o so they say was made available to the briefers to provide context for Trump should they want to draw a distinction for Trump between analyzed intelligence and unvetted “disinformation,” according to the official. The briefers also had available to them unvetted “disinformation” about the Clinton Foundation, though that was not briefed to Trump either.

The existence of the two-page synopsis was first reported by CNN yesterday afternoon. Their decision to report on the synopsis, as well as the publication of the complete 35-page memo by BuzzFeed, was harshly criticized by Trump.

The memo, which suggested that Trump could be blackmailed by Russian intelligence, was circulated among Trump opponents over the summer long before the election and was eventually passed to the FBI.

Republican Senator John McCain admitted that he also passed the memorandum to the FBI

Crime Outfits Targeting Gay Men For Blackmail In Russia Because of Anti-Gay Laws

Criminal gangs in Russia, operating through gay dating sites, are  targeting homosexual men for blackmail.

The gay rights group Vykhod, or Coming Out, say that they have registered 12 such blackmail complaints  in St. Petersburg in 2015 and at least six more gay men have come to them so far this year. Gay activists believe the real number is far higher and say the attacks have increased in the past two years.

Alexander Loza, a legal adviser at Positive Dialogue, an organization that provides consulting services for gays, particularly those living with the HIV virus, has heard similar stories.

“Many gay people in Russia lead a double life, unwilling to disclose their sexual orientation to their family or at work,” Loza said. “In the case of such setup dates, they are afraid to disclose their status, to be accused of pedophilia, and therefore they are afraid to appeal to the police.”

The activists said Russian criminals have been emboldened by a 2013 law that made it a crime to expose children to gay “propaganda,” part of a Kremlin-backed effort to defend traditional family values and counter the influence of what it considers a decadent West.

The latest victim a prominent St. Petersburg economist, said several men burst into the apartment where he was meeting his date. Claiming that his date was under age, they threatened to call the police and to release a video they had secretly filmed unless he paid up.

The St. Petersburg economist, however, did go to the police. He spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity out of fear that his attackers, who know where he lives, would seek retribution if they learned that he had reported them.

The economist, who gave his age as “about 30,” said he thought they were lying about his date being a minor. But he said the attackers beat and threatened him – and suggested they had friends in the police force who they said would lock him up on fabricated charges.

He said they demanded more than 100,000 rubles ($1,500). One of them took his bank card and cleaned out his account, and they released him only after he agreed to transfer the balance the next day, he said.

St. Petersburg police spokesman Vyacheslav Stepchenko of course said he had not heard about these blackmail cases and said he wasn’t aware of any anti-gay attacks being registered in the city in recent years.

In both America and Great Britain in the 1950’s and 60’s when homosexuality was illegal many gay men were also blackmailed, although only a fraction came to the attention of the police.  The film Victim of 1961 brought these issues to a mainstream audience.  It starred Dirk Bogarde as a repressed, married homosexual taking on the blackmailers who drove his partner to suicide.
