Tony Perkins of the FRC: "We’re Going To Block The Gay Rainbow Where The GOP Can’t"

Tony Perkisn of the gay hating Family Research Council, vows that they wil block the “gay rainbow” in states where the GOP did not win and will stop the advancement of any gay rights initiative and repeal those already in place.

“Illinois Governor Pat Quinn (D) will be heading up a legislature that was less affected by the GOP tide. Democrats still control the general assembly and Governor’s office, prompting state Sen. Dave Luechtefeld (R) to say, ‘I woke up the morning after, and I thought, ‘the same people are running the place.” And those same people want to redefine marriage. Just this week, Quinn said he’s lobbying for a civil unions bill to be on his desk by the time he takes office. ‘I think we can pass it this year,’ he told reporters, hinting at an aggressive lame-duck push. 

On the East Coast, little Rhode Island, which has introduced a same-sex ‘marriage’ bill each of the last 13 years, is on track to legalize phony unions with Independent Lincoln Chafee at the helm. The Governor-elect, who had the backing of homosexual groups in the election, officially lost his endorsement last week for tweeting that he would sign civil unions into law but was ‘in favor of it going on the ballot’ for voters to decide. New York’s new chief executive doesn’t share his view. Andrew Cuomo (D) has made it clear from the beginning that he plans to be the Governor who signs same-sex marriage’ into law. What a coincidence. We plan to be the first people in line to stop him.”

Other than the fact that this hoimophobic closet case  had it wrong and it was actually defeated Rhode Island state treasurer Frank Caprio who made the above-referenced tweet, not Governor-elect Lincoln Chafee.  Are we not sick and tired ot these BULLIES vowing to destroy us?

Ohio’s Citizens For Community Values Uses Lies and Trans Panic In An Attempt To Defeat Bowling Green, OH

I have warned people so many times about just how dangerous that Cincinnati’s Citizens For Community Values which in reality is the Midwest arm of Focus on the Family and Tony Perkin’s Family Research Council really are,  and the damage that they do. 

Now, the CCV is once again  using lies and “trans panic” in an attempt to get voters to go to the polls on November 2nd and repeal Bowling Green’s Ohio Ordinances 7905 and 7906, expanding non-discrimination protections  include: gender, gender expression, gender identity, sexual orientation, and HIV status among other characteristics. The Unlawful Discrimination Ordinance extends protection in employment, public accommodation and access to public education. The amended Fair Housing Ordinance adds the new classes to existing City law and was passed by Bowling Green City Council in 2009 which the CCV helped get petitioned to be on the ballot this November to be repealed.

As part of the lies that the CCV is using to get people to the Polls to vote no on Ordinances 7905 and 7906 they are using the disguting “trans panic bathroom senario” which is spelled out in this email sent by the CCV President Phil Burress (above pictured left)  that’s being sent to members using trans fear to raise money for this hateful organization..  (Continued after the jump…)

Dear Friends,

Our friends in Bowling Green, Ohio, need our prayers and support. Homosexual activists are once again wanting SPECIAL RIGHTS, but what the Bowling Green City Council did is far beyond anything else I have seen in Ohio and could be coming to your city next.

Here is an example of what could happen:

You and your young daughter, planning for her first day of school, go to the mall to look for clothes. While there, your daughter leaves you to go to the restroom. After just a few moments, she comes back with a frightened look on her face and wants to leave quickly. It is obvious she is very distressed. As a concerned parent, you try to comfort your child, seeking to calm her distress while trying to learn its cause.

Once you leave, as she settles down, you begin to ask questions.

“What happened? Did someone try to grab you?”

“No,” is her reply.

“Did you see something wrong?”  There is a long pause. Finally you ask, “Sweetheart, what is it that made you upset and not want to go back?”

You are caught speechless and bewildered by her reply:

“Mama, there were men in the girls bathroom wearing dresses!”

This is a conversation that parents might have to have with their children in Bowling Green in the near future. When the Bowling Green City Council passed ordinances 7905 and 7906, they created the environment that will make this scenario real in our places of public accommodation.

Imagine having to explain to your young, impressionable child that she has to accept having this situation be a normal part of being in Bowling Green.

Imagine having to continually wonder if your child may be entering a public restroom where an adult of the opposite sex may be inside, all because our elected officials want those with gender identity confusion to feel comfortable using the public restrooms of their preferred gender.

If special interest groups get their way, you won’t have to imagine it; you will have to live it.

Citizens of Bowling Green will have to face investigations and penalties for failure to comply with the ordinances, whether it be in providing public accommodations, hiring, or rental of property.

But it doesn’t have to be that way.

Concerned citizens of Bowling Green came together and petitioned to have these ordinances put to a public referendum. They agreed and signed the petitions to allow the referendum to move forward.

Now we have to make sure we educate and encourage Bowling Green voters to come to the polls on November 2nd and vote “NO” on Ordinances 7905 and 7906.

It is vital that we are able to educate the voters of Bowling Green on the dangers of having these ordinances go into law, and to encourage and secure enough voters so that these ordinances can be overturned.

We can be successful in defeating these ordinances if you are willing to join us in this effort.

A majority “NO” vote on November 2nd will cancel these ordinances and send a strong message to the Bowling Green City Council that their community does not want to have outside special interests from New York attempting to frame their laws so that they can move their homosexual agenda forward.

This is NOT a “bathroom bill” and Buress’s letter is nothing more than blatant fear-mongering to defeat Ordinances 7905 and 7906 and raise some quick “hate cash” . Personally, I don’t spend time checking out other people’s private parts in public restrooms. Unless they are cute guys.  What REALLY creeps me out is when fathers bring their young daughters into Men’s restrooms because they are afraid to leave them outside  Now thats CREEPY.

The scary bathroom trick is the same one that was used in the 1930s to warn against “Bolsheviks breeding in your washroom.” Opponents of the Equal Rights Amendment trotted out the old saw again in 1970s, warning that equal rights would lead to men and women sharing public bathrooms.  

Christomaniacs like the CCV point to the potential danger of crossdressed and/or trans women predators in public restrooms, and yet the folks who purport that anti-trans Bathroom scare can’t point to any examples of trans people ever being involved in anything like that and have to use some false scenario’s/ 

Well lets use some REAL scenario’s to why maybe Phil Buress, Tony Perkin’s The CCV, and Christomaniacs of his ilk should not be able to use public restrooms.

The Los Angeles Times had a story yesterday (November 2, 2009) entitled Clerk at religious bookstore arrested on peeping charge

A clerk at a Christian bookstore in Simi Valley was arrested on suspicion of peeping after Simi Valley police found a video camera hidden in a bathroom at the store, authorities said today.

Officers were called to the Family Christian Book Store in the 2900 block of Cochran Street on Sunday afternoon after a 40-year-old woman and her husband reported finding the video camera, said Simi Valley Police Sgt. Dwight Thompson.   After examining the video, investigators determined that 28-year-old Joseph Moreaux had gone to the restroom just before the victim to hide the camera and record her while she was inside…

And, this isn’t a particularly new story when it comes to piety. Remember October 20th’s Protect Us From The Male, CVS Managers Who Support Keeping Trans Women Out Of Women’s Restrooms?

The CVS Pharmacy manager who allegedly admitted Friday to filming women in his store’s bathroom was an active participant in the 2008 charter amendment to “keep men out of women’s restrooms.”

Jonathan Matheny, 27, was charged with one count of video voyeurism after a customer told police she had discovered a cell phone equipped with a camera under a pile of tissues in the CVS bathroom at 125 S.W. 34th St.

If you want to talk about predatory behavior lets talk about the Christomaniacs.  The ones who like and fear monger against the LGBT Community and our trans brothers and sisters.

Douchebag Bradlee Dean of "You Can Run But You Cannot Hide International", Who Tom Emmer Calls "Good People" Blames Gay Suicide On Gay Indoctrination and Child Molestation

Bradlee Dean of You Can Run But You Cannot Hide International, a hard rock ministry (which by the way TARGET and 3M backed Tom Emmer of Minnesota donates to and has called “nice people“)  told radio listeners on Saturday that efforts to create a more tolerant climate at Anoka-Hennepin School District in the aftermath of six suicides, three by gay youth, were actually efforts by homosexuals to “go after the kids.” Bradlee Dean also stated that “one in twenty homosexuals is a child molester.”

“We were just talking about the homosexual indoctrination… I am tired of this. I’m tired of these people. I’m tired of trying to be civil with criminals,” Dean said, repeating a familiar theme of recent shows. “The state-run media is going after the schools for resisting the homosexual indoctrination. The homosexuals are now blaming — they are playing the victims — the homosexuals are now blaming their stance as the reason that young homosexuals are committing suicide because of the schools’ intolerance to the lifestyle of homosexuality.”

He added, “They are not taking responsibility; they are blaming the schools for their intolerance. I’m tired of this. Why do they go after the schools so hard? Why do they want the kids?”

He said that the LGBT students in the school aren’t LGBT but just experimenting.

“The reason the homosexual kids… by the way they aren’t actually gay. They are just trying a new lifestyle because they got these perverts in front of them trying to teach them something,” said Dean.

Nice people, eh Emmer?

Anti-gay African American Pastor Eddie Long Of New Birth Missionary Baptist MegaChurch Charged With Coercing Two Teenaged Males Into Having Gay Sex

Atlanta, Georgia’s New Birth Missionary Baptist Mega-Church (which has 25,000 to 33,300 parishioners according to the church’s Web site.) Pastor Eddie Long, who Southern Poverty Law Center’s magazine named ‘one of the most virulently homophobic black leaders in the religiously based anti-gay movement.'” has been charged of coercing two young male members and employees of his church into having gay sex.  The two men now 20, and 21 years old state  in a lawsuit brought in Dekalb, Georgia that Long used his authority improperly and pressured them, via his spiritual authority to seduce them with cars, money, clothes, jewelry, international trips and access to celebrities.” and coerce them into sex.

“Long is considered one of the nation’s top black preachers. His church has more 25,000 members, according to the suit, and was the site of Coretta Scott King’s 2006 funeral, attended by then-President George W. Bush and three previous presidents. King was the widow of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. The pastor took one plaintiff, Anthony Flagg, 21, on overnight trips to a half-dozen American cities in recent years, Flagg’s suit alleges. ‘Long shared a bedroom and engaged in intimate sexual contact with plaintiff Flagg including kissing, massaging, masturbating of plaintiff Flagg by defendant Long and oral sexual contact,’ the suit says. Long took the other plaintiff, Maurice Murray Robinson, 20, to Auckland, New Zealand, in October 2008 for his 18th birthday and engaged in oral sex with him, Robinson’s suit alleges. The suits also said that Long framed the sexual relationships as religious in nature. The suits allege that Long chose the plaintiffs to be his “Spiritual Sons,” a program that allegedly includes other young men from the church.” – via CNN

Joe Solmonsleaze Solmonese appeared on “Hardball With Chris Matthews” last night where he actually embraced the sham that’s happening of Republicans now beginning to say that they favor gay marriage and gay rights.

Now I have said A LOT about both Solmonese and the Human Rights Campaign in the past but I’ve never called them “idiotic greedy morons” until now.  (Well maybe I have, but for good reason)

The year’s and most probably decades premiere closet case comes out.  A man who did more to destroy gay rights then probably Ronald Regan and what does the nation’s “premiere gay civil rights organization” says what…that he’s welcomed at the table!

Here is what Solmonsleaze had to say.  “The past is the past. We certainly don’t have the luxury at this point in our movement to turn away any offer of help.”  (And knowing Solmonsleaze and the HRC by help he means MONEY.)

Perhaps Little Joe and the HRC needs a refresher course on what Mehlman who is the Roy Cohen of our generation actually did to harm MILLIONS of LGBT people in the United States. 

And to actually believe that the so called “change” happening within the Republican Party tn favor of LGBT rights and gay marriage  is REAL and not just an attempt at the Republicans aimed at getting a few independent votes when the midterm elections are held in about nine weeks is just mind blowing.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.  SOLMONESE MUST GO and the HRC must either be overhauled DRAMATICALLY or REPLACED with another LGBT Rights Organization that reality based instead of money based/

It kind of figures though that the MOST HATED Gay Leader and Organization  in the LGBT Community would stand up for and embrace one of the MOST HATED men  in politics who caused us so much harm to us..

In 2004 then RNC President Ken Mehlman directly told Ohio’s anti-gay bigoted Republicans and Ohio’s anti-gay hate group the Citizens for Community Values (Which is the Midwest affiliate group of both Focus on the Family and The Family Research Council) to get a marriage ban on the ballot.

Mehlman was interviewed after he spoke to the Summit County Republican Party’s annual Lincoln Day dinner March 19 at Quaker Station. “I’m here to say thank you,” Mehlman told the gathering, “because Summit County increased its votes for George W. Bush from 2000 to 2004 more than any other county.” Mehlman managed the Bush-Cheney 2004 campaign and, according to the campaign’s Ohio co-chair, Secretary of State Ken Blackwell, directed Ohio anti-gay activists to mount the campaign to put the Issue 1 marriage ban amendment on the ballot. Internet bloggers have pointed out that if Mehlman, 38, unmarried and never with female companionship, is gay, he is a hypocrite

 

2005 – Ken Mehlman Fully Supports The Marriage Protection Amendment

GOP Sen. Wayne Allard (CO) introduced the Marriage Protection Amendment (a verbatim restating of the earlier failed Federal Management Amendment) with 21 Senate GOP co-sponsors. Later that year the bill was approved for review by the full Senate Judiciary Committee. Newly appointed RNC chair Ken Mehlman gave the bill his full support to reporters at an Ohio GOP fundraiser that March.

During his Akron remarks, Mehlman put forth political and policy statements often viewed as anti-gay. “Republicans are for government that stands on the side of marriage,” he said, “and on the side of strong families.” After the dinner, he was asked by a reporter about the GOP’s support for the so-called Marriage Protection Amendment, introduced in the House last week by Rep. Dan Lundgren of California. Mehlman made it clear that he supports the amendment. “I don’t think it’s anti-gay,” said Mehlman. “I don’t think the intent is to be anti-anything.”

There can never be any total penance for Mehlman after what has done and in my opinion he deserves NOTHING from our community but rancor and contempt. Mehlman pushed through his policies helped make LGBT people second class citizens in over 21 states and then pushed for a federal amendment as well.
There is nothing that Ken Mehlman can ever say or  do or say that will totally reverse his actions and change the immeasurable harm he has done to millions of gay and lesbians lives.
And we need to remember what he has done to us. And it needs to be duly noted in history.
