“Christians” Witness, Mislead, Harass and Lie About “Conversion” and Curings AIDS At Twin Cities Pride

A “coalition” of Minnesota churches working under the name Trinity Works “infiltrated” (their word) Twin Cities Pride in order to convert attendees.

How’d it go?

An evangelical group called Trinity Works sent outreach workers canvassing through Twin Cities Pride, and set up a corn feed in hopes of luring members of the LGBT community into its brand of anti-LGBT conservative Christianity. Using misleading tactics, Trinity Works and its coalition of dozens of churches claims to have converted 80 people to its brand of Christianity during Twin Cities Pride, according to a post circulating on Facebook among the group’s supporters. Trinity Works held a corn feed at 11th Street and Hennepin Avenue along the Pride parade route. According to OutFront, the support team had to counsel dozens who mistakenly thought it was part of Pride activities. “Pride-goers who went in, assuming it was LGBTQ-friendly, were surrounded by Trinity works people who said they would burn in hell because of their sexual orientation,” OutFront’s Monica Meyer said in a statement. “Our support team counseled more than a dozen people who unknowingly went in and left the corn feed shaken, crying and traumatized.” Trinity Works has outreach workers stationed at the Pride parade with brown t-shirts that read, “What’s Your Story?” People were invited to come inside the corn feed to have corn and water, but when they sat down to eat, two Trinity Works outreach workers would hover over asking them about Jesus and being LGBT.

And if that’s not bad enough Trinity Works representative  Steven Uggen told a group gathered in April at The Well, A Living Church in Robbinsdale, that people will be cured of “HIV or AIDS” at the Pride festivities. Uggen says that by healing those with HIV, it will prove to the LGBT community that they should find Jesus and leave “the lifestyle.”

“One of the words we got out of this outreach, the Lord really wanted to demonstrate his goodness to this community by releasing healing of HIV and AIDS, so we believe we’re going to see people healed of HIV and AIDS and we’re just, we’re carrying that word of the Lord into this outreach. And that will be part of our training just praying with boldness for the releasing of healing power and then sending them back to their doctors literally after praying for them. ‘Here’s what I want you to do: go to your doctor, get tested for HIV or AIDS and when you come back negative, you’ve got a decision to make whether you’re gonna serve the God who just healed you’ and then give them some gospel materials that they can take with them and encourage them to call on us and let us know and I’m confident that we’re going to have people healed of HIV and AIDS that are going to be contacting us. The funny thing is Jesus healed the 10 lepers and only one came back to acknowledge him so there may be 10 that get healed but only one come back, you know. This is a strategy that God wants to use so the very fruit of their sin is what he wants to, like, take away to show them his kindness and his goodness. I mean it’s just totally Jesus. I mean it’s like totally his way so we’re excited about that.

Beyond disgusting.  And the fact that they get away with this type of harrassment and such blatant lies is mind boggling.

And as for those “80 converts”, which is utter bullshit.  I think that’s how many that we converted from their group to OUR side.

Kentucky Bank Teller Sues US Bank Because She Was Fired For Bible Thumping To Customers

A Walton, Kentucky woman is suing US Bank for firing her after she was repeatedly warned to stop proselytizing to bank customers during work hours and asking them if they’d accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior.

In a Code of Ethics violation, US Bank states that customers had complained numerous times that Polly Neace talked to them about their salvation, and asked questions like “Do you take the Lords name in vain” and ended every transaction with “have a blessed day”

That Code of Ethics Violation warns Neace that ‘effective immediately you will no longer discuss the subject of faith or religion with customers and co-workers alike’.

‘I was upset with the fact they were stifling me and not allowing me to act on my beliefs. I can’t back down from this. It’s the principle behind everything,’ Neace said.

U.S. Bank says that they aren’t willing to back down either and are willing to fight.

‘At U.S. Bank, we hold our employees to high ethical standards when interacting with customers and co-workers, and take violations of these standards seriously,’ the bank said in a statement.

‘While we cannot comment provide comment on pending litigation, we believe that this lawsuit is without merit and believe the facts presented in future legal proceedings will justify our actions.’

We Got Trouble Right Here In River City, Ex-Gay Religious Bigot Runs For Covington, KY Mayor

You can go almost anywhere in Kentucky with the exception of bigger cities like Lexington, Louisville, and the likes and swing a stick and find someone who’s anti-gay.

So it’s surprising that Covington, Kentucky which is the  fifth-most-populous city in KY, mostly Democrat, and is one of only 3 cities in the state that  includes sexual orientation and gender identity in its non-discrimination laws is having to deal with a bible thumping anti-gay religious bigot named Dara McDowell who is running to become Mayor of Covington.

McDowell who believes she felt God calling on her to run for Mayor of Covington hopes to focus primarily on economic issues, job creation, and tourism and the dreaded “homosexual agenda”

“I’m concerned about leaving behind a town for my children, for all children, that is pro-homosexual agenda.”  McDowell had said according to the River City News who has been coving this story.

“(Homosexuality) is a choice, I think it’s important to respect choices, but to promote it? I see the undercurrent of that (in Covington).”  McDowell has also said that she would oppose gay pride festivals in the city which has held such an event the past two years. “I see what happens at gay pride parades and I don’t want them in my town,” she said.

Okay now here’s the kicker!

After the River City News posted their original story about McDowell and many people took offense to her anti-gay rhetoric and left messages on  RCN’s Facebook page, McDowell responded on Facebook to the criticism of her positions, posting that she in fact “used to be gay” and  also a drug user.!

Man with a man is a sin. So is woman with woman. But so is lying and gossiping… and calling your brother a “fool”. Everybody sins. I’m a sinner. I used to be gay. I used to have illicit sex (any sex outside of marriage). I’m sure you did too. I used to take drugs. Perhaps you did the same. I’m sure I sinned as soon as a put my feet to floor, today. But when we tell children that it’s “good” to sin… that’s where we are asking God to bring judgement, I think. I absolutely LOVE gay people, gay people are my favorite people to hang out with. I can list the reasons why, but I’ll save it for later. I totally accept you where you are… as I would like you to accept me. I just fear that if we PROMOTE homosexuality as a good thing, such as the lewd sexual behaviors that we have ALL seen in those ridiculous gay pride parades and march it all in front of children and loudly proclaim “this is a good thing!” – I think we are just asking for trouble, not just in the form of judgement from God, but in the form of a confused generation. And I just don’t want to sit here watch it happen. The reason that you are so angry with me is because you are actually angry with yourselves. You know this is wrong. There is something wrong about it. But because you have been indoctrinated and brain washed into thinking it’s okay, you doubt your own heart… and thus you are inwardly angry… It’s okay. I’ve been there. I used to be gay and I HATED people like me… then. But like it or not, I’m here to offer a choice, and perhaps, maybe preferably, a wake up call.

And the scariest part?

McDowell is now the mother of 8 and is a mentor at Covington Independent Public Schools.

Now THOSE are the children that I REALLY worry about.

Ex-Gays are like ex-smokers.  They still want to have some but since they won;t they have to make life miserable for everyone else that still does.

Well it didn’t take long Michele Bachmann to spout some insane religious nonsense about the recent NE Earthquake and Hurricane Irene which killed 26 people over the weekend when she made two campaign stops in Florida yesterday. One in Orlando and the other in Sarasota.

According to Lady McBitch,  Hurricane Irene and the north east earthquake are God’s punishment to politicians in Washington who aren’t listening.

“I don’t know how much God has to do to get the attention of the politicians. We’ve had an earthquake; we’ve had a hurricane. He said, ‘Are you going to start listening to me here?’ Listen to the American people because the American people are roaring right now. They know government is on a morbid obesity diet and we’ve got to rein in the spending.”

What a delusional insane callous BITCH.  (And I am not using bitch in the mysognist way.  There really should be an exemption to use that word to describe the women of the GOP)

Over the past few days I’ve been wondering about what to post about when I came across this little bit of revisionist history bullshit that’s being spread by the nasty little anti-gay group The National Organization For Marriage.

REALLY?  Well most actual human beings other than those “creatures” at The National Organization for marriage do know that LGBT’s have been persecuted. But do people really know to what extent? Everyone knows about the murders of Matt Shepard and Harvey Milk and the current gay bashings and violence upon the LGBT community but how many people know exactly how long our persecution has been happening, and how many of us have been imprisoned or killed, or the fact that the persecution in most cases leads back to certain groups?

So lets take a jump back in history and start off about 1700 YEARS ago and look at some of (and believe me not all of) of the persecution that we the LGBT community have endured through the ages, and how in many cases it leads back to oldest organized crime family in history. No not the Soprano’s. RELIGION.

342 AD – The first law against same-sex marriage was promulgated by the Christian emperors Constantius II and Constans (It’s the Christians!)

390- 405 – In the year 390, the Christian emperors Valentinian II, Theodosius I and Arcadius declared homosexual sex to be illegal and those who were guilty of it were condemned to be burned alive in front of the public and Nonnus’ Dionysiaca is the last known piece of literature for nearly 1,000 years to celebrate homosexual passion. (The Fucking Christians AGAIN!)

498 – In spite of the laws against gay sex, the Christian emperors continued to collect taxes on male prostitutes until the reign of Anastasius I, who finally abolishes the tax in favor of sampling of the best men. (And as you see the fucking HYPOCRITICAL Christians and as you can see they haven’t changed much in over 1500 years)

589 – The Visigothic kingdom in Spain, is converted from Arianism to Catholicism. This conversion leads to a revision of the law to conform to those of Catholic countries. These revisions include provisions for the persecution of gays and Jews (Do I even have to say it?)

1120 – Baldwin II of the Kingdom of Jerusalem, convenes the Council of Nablus to address the vices within the Kingdom. The Council calls for the burning of individuals who perpetually commit sodomy

1250-1300 – Homosexual activity radically passes from being completely legal in the most of Europe to incurring the death penalty in most European states

1232 – Pope Gregory IX starts the Inquisition in the Italian City-States. Some cities called for banishment and/or amputation as punishments for 1st- and 2nd-offending sodomites and burning for the 3rd or habitual offenders. – 1260 – In France, first-offending sodomites lost their testicles, second offenders lost their member, and third offenders were burned. Women caught in same-sex acts could be mutilated and executed as well.

1370s – Jan van Aersdone and Willem Case were two men executed in Antwerp in the 1370s. The charge against them was gay sex, which was illegal and strenuously vilified in medieval Europe..

1476 – Leonardo Da Vinci is charged with sodomy but no verdict is rendered in his trial.

1532 – Holy Roman Empire makes sodomy punishable by death/ And guess what? They kill more of us Homos!

1533 – King Henry VIII passes the Buggery Act 1533 making all male-male sexual activity punishable by death and then ]Mary Tudor ascends the English throne and removes all of the male-male sexual activity laws passed by Henry VIII. (“Maybe that’s why we say Oh Mary PLEASE!)

Between 1540 and 1700 The Spanish Inquisition begins. Sodomites were stoned, castrated, and burned., more than 1,600 people were prosecuted for sodomy.

1558 – Elizabeth I ascends the English throne and reinstates the sodomy laws. The BITCH! (They imprision and kill MORE Homo’s, of course)

1649 – The first known conviction for lesbian activity in North America occurs in March when Sarah White Norman is charged with “Lewd behaviour each with other upon a bed” with Mary Vincent Hammon in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Hammon was under 16 and not prosecuted. (Sarah wasn’t killed. Just banished)

1721 – Catherina Margaretha Linck is executed for female sodomy in Germany.

1779 – USA- In 1779 Thomas Jefferson (Proof that the ORIGINAL Tea Bagger was a homophobe) prepared a draft of Virginia’s criminal statute, envisaging that the punishment for sodomy should be castration. The bill read:

“Whosoever shall be guilty of rape, polygamy, or sodomy with a man or woman, shall be punished; if a man, by castration, a woman, by boring through the cartilage of her nose a hole of one half inch in diameter at the least.” (Virginia Bill number 64; authored by Jefferson; June 18, 1779 – PLEASE Note that there is nothing about adultery, inter-racial sex, or children out of wedlock mentioned. A Jefferson talent!)

1828 – The term “Crime against nature” first used in the Criminal code in the United States.

1871 – Homosexuality is criminalized throughout the German Empire by Paragraph 175 of the Reich Criminal Code

1933 – The National Socialist German Workers Party bans homosexual groups. Homosexuals are sent to concentration camps. Nazis burn the library of Magnus Hirschfeld’s Institute for Sexual Research, and destroy the Institute; Denmark and Philippines decriminalizes homosexuality. Homosexual acts are recriminalized in the USSR. In 1945, upon the liberation of Nazi concentration camps by Allied forces, those interned for homosexuality are not freed, but required to serve out the full term of their sentences under Paragraph 175; An estimated 15,000 – 45,000 homosexuals die in Concentration Camps.

1950 – The Organization for Sexual Equality, now Swedish Federation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Rights (RFSL), is formed in Sweden; East Germany partially abrogates the Nazis’ emendations to Paragraph 175; The Mattachine Society, the first sustained American homosexual group, is founded in Los Angeles (YEA! Finally some GOOD NEWS!)

And this is just the TIP of the gay hating persecution iceberg. There are so many more cases of LGBT rape, torture, murder throughout the centuries that it’s insane and far too many to list here. But lets not skip imprisonments in mental institutions, the shock therapies, chemical castrations that were backed and performed by NOM’s buddies in the LDS Mormon Church in the 1970’s until the 1990’s And who could forget America’s own gay hating genocidial version Adolph Hitler of the 1980’s Ronald Reagan who is responsible for at least 20,849 (mostly gay) Americans who died of AIDS by the end of his second term when he finally stopped ignoring AIDS and sspoke of it and who then opened the doors let those FUCKING BIBLE THUMPING CHRISTIANS known as the Moral Majority into the front door of our goverment.

Now I would be lying if I said we haven’t gained some ground in many countries. But unfortunately the USA is not one of them. It’s actually kind of mind boggling when you think of recent world events and compare them to the evolution of gay rights in America. Even Argentina (Argen-fucking-tina!) which was once one of the most fascist countries in the world and was led by Madonna, I mean Juan and Eva Peron now will allow gay marriage and what do we have here in the USA? DOMA! In more than 30 countries, including U.S. allies such as Israel, Canada and the United Kingdom, gays and lesbians are allowed to openly serve in their country’s military. And what do we have? DADT! And why is that? Because of supposed fucking “Christians” and religious groups like The National Organization for Marriage, Focus on the Family, The Family Research Council, The Mormon Church, and the oldest organized crime family in the world, The Catholic Church continue to persecute LGBT Americans, just as Christians have been doing for centuries and they won’t stop until we “disappear”.

So next time you see one of these bible thumping, bigoted, anti-gay assholes. Don’t be shy and just walk right up to them, look them in the eye, take a stand and tell them to “Shut the fuck up and to go hell”. Because they’re not going to stop their persecution by politically correct discussion’s or trying to change their “hearts and minds”. (The WORST strategy the LGBT Community has ever had because you can’t change hate that comes from religion) Their hatred of the LGBT community is in their blood, and it is their dogma. And they won’t stop until all of us gay, straight, bi, transgendered, black, white, yellow, brown and fucking purple band together and STAND TOGETHER despite our differences and let them know that we aren’t going to take their bullshit anymore and turn a blind eye to to the their hateful legacy that has been flowing for centuries and has led to the deaths of so many.

Your Featured Homophobic Bigot Of The Day: Fort Worth,TX Republican And Closet Tea Party Homophobe Richard Clough

About 200 “so called christians” who oppose recent diversity initiatives implemented by the city of Fort Worth, TX after the last years June 28 raid on the Rainbow Lounge by officers with the Fort Worth Police Department and agents of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. packed Cowtown’s City Council chambers on Tuesday, July 13 led by Republican and closeted Tea Party, bigoted wingnut Richard Clough who is an UBER– failed candidate for Tarrant County judge who is an associate minister with Kenneth Copeland Ministries. (Which by the way has been involved in a tax fraud scandal.)

The Ft, Worth council’s diversity initiatives included improving diversity training for all city employees, domestic partner benefits for gay and lesbian city employees, coverage of gender reassignment surgery for transgender employees in transition, promoting the city as a destination for LGBT tourism, and lobbying for passage of state and federal laws banning anti-LGBT discrimination in employment.The task force also recommended that the council amend the city’s nondiscrimination ordinance to specifically prohibit discrimination based on gender identity and the The city council voted, 6-3, on Nov. 11 last year to add specific gender identity protections to the nondiscrimination ordinance.

Thomas Anable, president of Fairness Fort Worth said he learned on Monday of e-mails that had been circulated over the weekend among conservative and evangelical Christian churches, calling on evangelical Christians to pack the council chambers at Tuesday’s meeting.  “They said last November when the task force’s report was presented to the council, and when the council voted on the transgender ordinance, they said then that they had been left out and that they would be back,” Anable said. “Every meeting that the task force had was open to the public, and nobody showed up. I think, with the CCPD budget on the agenda this week, they saw an opportunity to try and make a sneak attack.”  (The budget included funds to pay for diversity training for police officers and for officer recruitment efforts within the LGBT community)

Richard Clough stood at the podium flanked by supporters wearing paper badges printed with the word “Truth,” and began by accusing Mayor Mike Moncrief and the council of “intentionally hiding the implementation of a homosexual agenda.” The accusation prompted an angry rebuttal for the mayor, who threatened to have Clough removed from the council chambers if he continued with “personal attacks.” The two men argued briefly, with Clough continuing to speak over the mayor’s admonishments and with Moncrief at one point turning off the microphone at the podium where Clough stood.  When Moncrief allowed Clough to continue, the minister accused the mayor of refusing to meet with him, although some council members had met with him. Clough said that “every voice was not heard” on the Diversity Task Force’s recommendations, adding that the council was going against the wishes of the majority of the city’s citizens who had, he said, voted against same-sex marriage in 2004 by a 77 percent majority.

He criticized the city for spending money to send lobbyists to Washington, D.C., to promote passage of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, and for promoting the city as a destination for LGBT tourism.

“Who are you promoting it to? Queer liberation [possibly a reference to the now-defunct direct action group Queer LiberAction]? To NAMBLA — the North American Man-Boy Love Association? Or are you just promoting it to the gay chambers?” Clough said.

Clough also criticized the addition of gender identity to the city’s nondiscrimination ordinance, suggesting that council members “ask the ladies do they want a man who suffers from gender identity disorder coming in on them in the bathroom. … If they gays want to promote something, let them spend their own money to promote it.”

Homo Say What? – The New York Times Calls Homophobe Republican Pin-Up Boy Rep. Aaron Schock a "Gay Icon"

In a NY Times piece today on homophobic, closet case  Rep. Aaron Shock  writer Ashley Parker goes as far as to call Schock a “gay icon” joining the “the ranks of Liza Minnelli and Lady Gaga” all because of that one photo of the gay hating republican who is against the DADT repeal, Gay Marriage and every other gay rights platform lounging by the pool shirtless last year.

Maybe “gay icon” to Ms. Parker of the Times means “the only Republican Congressman that most gays would like to hate fuck.”  Because you can’t print “hate fuck” in the NY Times.

I don’t care if Rep. Aaron Schock’s cock hangs all the way down to his knee.  He’s still a conservative Repug, closte case, bible thumpper and I have no use for him even as bondage power bottom attached to a leash with a red ball gag in his mouth.
