Salina, Kansas Passes Anti LGBT Discrimination Ordinance, Commissioner Stands Up Against The AFA

Only 12 anti-LGBT potestors (not one of which was from Salina, Kansas) showed up to protest outside the Salina Community Theatre in Kansas where the Salina City Commission voted on a proposal that would make sexual orientation and gender identity classes protected from discrimination in Salina.

Narrowly approved on it’s first reading Monday by a 3 -2 vote, the change would add sexual orientation and gender identity to the list of classes protected from discrimination in housing, employment and public accommodation in the city’s current anti-discrimination ordinance.

City Commissioner Aaron Householter (pictured left) a strong supporter of the ordiance stood up proudly and fought aggresively for its passage during the four hour discussion that preceeded the vote even though most of the commissioners avoided interaction during that period.

When Phil Cosby, with the American Family Association, spoke about the need for transgender people to seek mental help and how same-sex marriage doesn’t create a family, Householter asked him for the definition of family.

“Traditional family, as in Genesis, male and female, ‘I say to them go forth and multiply,’ ” Cosby said. “One of the biological problems with transgenderism and natural and unnatural goes to the point of multiplication.”

Cosby said his relationship is more special than that of same-sex couples because he can have children with his wife.

“It is the plumbing, the design and natural law,” Cosby said.

Householter said he has a family with his girlfriend and her child but it didn’t meet Cosby’s definition.

“I have not gone forth and multiplied, and I have family,” Householter said.

Householter even came under attack from  Salinan resident Carol Reed said she assumed Householter was gay based on comments he made regarding the ordinance. to which he replied: “Some people would think so because of my excellent taste in clothing and material objects but, no, I am not,” Householter said. “My girlfriend is sitting up there.”

While the ordinance has to be voted on twice by the commission and could pass the issue on it’s second reading next week opponents have promised an appeal would be made that could put the issue to a public vote.

Robert Noland, of the Wichita-based Kansas Family Policy Center, said he is already working on a petition which would have to be signed by 25 percent of the more than 5,000 people who voted in the last city election.

Last month the KFPC presented a petition to stop the ordinance to the City Commissioners demanding that the ordiance be stricken.  The petition only had 344-signatures.

GAY GEEK ALERT! – Dr. Who Writer & Producer Steven Moffat OUTS Character River Song As Bisexual!

It seems as though Dr. Who writer and producer Steven Moffat has had a little whoopsie and has accidentially outed the character of River Song on Twitter stating that Captain Jack isn’t the only bisexual in the good Doctor’s cadre of travelling companions.  (Although I still say that Jack is “Gay Kinsey 5″)

Whether or not we’ll be seeing any girl on girl action with River Song in upcoming episodes of Doctor Who still remains to be seen.

Bullied Indiana Gay Teen Expelled From School For Protecting Himself Beaten At Local Mall

Last week I wrote about Indiana gay teen Dynasty Young, who was bullied and then later expelled from Indianapolis’ Arsenal Tech High School  for carrying a stun gun to school to defend himself.

Today Bil Browning at The Bilerico project is reporting that Dynasty was attacked and assaluted at a downtown mall by a 34 year old man named Khyran R. Delay who “recognized him from the news”

According to court documents, Delay told mall security officers that he recognized 17-year-old Darnell “Dynasty” Young from news coverage of his story and tried to talk to Young about it. He said Young got in his face and that he pushed Young.

But Young and Donald Richardson, a janitor who witnessed the incident, told police that when Young walked past Delay’s table in the food court, Delay told Young to get away from him and used homophobic slurs. They said that Delay pushed Young and then hit him in the face, according to court documents. Richardson said he radioed for mall security, and then Delay came toward him because he was mad that Richardson had called security. Security officers arrived and detained Delay.

Delay has been charged with a misdemeanor count of battery.

The heartland has no heart.

Gay Republican SURVIVOR Contestant Colton Cumbie Tries To Explain Away His Disgusting HomoCon Ways

Gay Republican contestant Colton Cumbie (what a fitting name) who was on this seasons  Survivor: One World had to leave the game early because of a physical ailment but not before becoming one of its most despised contestants in Survivor history due to his racist, hateful, and typical republican remarks which he then tried to explain last night on the Survivor: One World Reunion Show after the season finale.

And the little Auntie Tom even brought his Mother who then apologized for his actions.

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus: “Gay Marriage Is Not A Civil Right” And Other Lies

Reince Priebus, Chairman of the Republican National Commitee appeared on Meet The Press with  Daivd Gregory where Priebus said that “gay marriage is not a civil right”.

Priebus also stated said that “Mitt Romney is a gracious, caring person who believes that every person in this country including people who are gay deserves the dignity and respect that every American deserves.” .

One can just imagine the amount of Charim that was positoned out of camera shot so Priebus could continually wipe away the shit away from his mouth

Wall Street Journal Editor Paul Gigot Dismisses Mitt Romney’s Anti-Gay Bullying With A “So What?”

Wall Street Journal editorial page editor Paul Gigot appeared on FOX News Sunday where he totally dismissed the upsetting story of Mitt Romney’s past as a bully and the episode where Mitt forcibly held down a fellow student in high school and chopped off his hair with sissors because he “looked too gay” according to statemesnts from others who were involved in the incident.

Said Gigot:

“He was a leader of the prankster group. So what? And this is the only anecdote I think they found that was kind of edgy. [...] I think in terms of politics, if this is the worst thing that the American people find out about Mitt Romney in the next five months, he is going to be a very happy man.”

Edgy? It was an physical homophobic assault.  What if students at a school in the Northeast tackled a Christian student to the ground, yanked off the cross that he was wearing, took out some scissors and gave him a crew cut? Or did the same to Mormon child because of his faith and sheared.  Would that be edgy too?

Whats worse is that today SEEN THROUGH ADULT EYES , Romney STILL doesn’t think it was a big deal, while the victim John Yoblanski passed away in 2004 he  permanently psychologically scared by the incident and rmembered it to his passing while all the other “pranksters” involved as Gigot puts it are now sorry and feel remorse for doing it.   Romney does not..

This is nothing more than an example of one ReTHUGlican standing up for another.

Clay Aiken vs. Hate Group Leader Tony Perkins on Face the Nation – Clay Aiken?

Clay Aiken went up against MSNBC pundit and Family Research Council hate group President Tomy Perkin’s on Sunday’s Face the Nation.

Not only did Tony Perkins sit there and boldly LIE that churches are being forced to host gay weddings.  But over and over again he stated that civil rights are based on “natural law” and not once was he corrected with the truth that civil rights are based on the “Declaration of Independence” and the “Constitiution of the United States” and whats right and whats good.

Now I know that Clay Aiken helped out greatly with fighting against North Carolina’s Amendment One.  But was he really a good choice to sit against Perkins on Meet The Press?

Only until we have spokespeople on television and in other forms of the media for the LGBT community who are strong and will speak up loudly and forcefully against the lies and propaganda that Perkin’s and his ilk say while they are and they are called out and proven liars in the public eyes will they ever stop getting national platforms to debase us.

Next time you need someone to go up against Tony Perkins, Face the Nation.  Call me.

The U.S. president delivered a message that was humane, understanding, in which he even recognizes that he too has been changing his opinion in favor of marriage, the free union of same-sex couples,” said Mariela. “Hopefully his words will be taken seriously in the political and legislative decisions made in different states and in the whole world.”

Mariella Castro has predicted for years that Cuba’s parliament was on the verge of legalizing gay marriage, but it has yet to happen. She said she hopes legislators would finally follow through when they next meet in July.

GOP – Tea Party Senator Rand Paul Attacks Obama With Offensive Gay Joke – Video

Kentucky’s own Tea Party Congressional member Sen. Rand Paul was his skeevy old self on Friday when after he was done attacking a women’s right to an abortion he then attacked Barack Obama’s support on son same-sex marriage by saying he didn’t think the president’s views “could get any gayer.”

Paul who was appearing at an event held by Iowa’s Faith and Freedom Coalition stated in his speech:

“The president, you know, recently weighed in on marriage. And, you know, he said his views were evolving on marriage. Call me cynical, but I wasn’t sure that his views on marriage could get any gayer.” ………

“We understand sin and if we believe it’s a sin, we still are (sinners) and people sin. We’re not out there preaching some sort of hateful dogma against people.  But that doesn’t mean that we have to go ahead and give up our traditions.”

“Six thousand years of tradition” combined with “anthropological” evidence shows “there’s stability in the family unit,”

Six thousand years?  REALLY?

Perhaps Paul should pick up a history book for change and stop reading NOM’s talking points.

Nero married two men, Sporus in 54 CE, and Doryphorus in 68 CE. and same sex weddings took place in increasing numbers over a period of time, but were outlawed in 342 CE

Paul is as much or more of a nut-bag as his insane father.  It’s a national embarrassment that tese two freakish crazy assed mothers like these two are able to run for or hold any public office.

Its interesting how Father and Son who called themselves ”Libertarian”until they took GOP and Tea Party money would  give a flying flip if two gay people wanted to get married?   Doesn’t that fall under the category of, “It’s none of the government’s business”?

Gay joke starts at 5:40 mark
