Disney’s “Don’t Say Gay” Debacle UPDATE: Day 5 – SONY Throws Shade, Pixar Claims Homophobia, DeSantis Gets Grumpy

On top of all the bombshell’s over the past 4 days (Clift’s Notes HERE) of the Disney Corporation showing that ally ship is all talk and a one way street we have NEW developments over the past 24 hours. None of them good.

*SONY Animation Throws Shade a Disney

*PIXAR Claims Homophobic Censorship runs amok: In a statement attributed to “the LGBT employees of Pixar, and their allies” obtained by Variety, employees of the animation studio allege that Disney corporate executives have demanded cuts from “nearly every moment of overtly gay affection… regardless of when there is protest from both the creative teams and executive leadership at Pixar.”

“We at Pixar have personally witnessed beautiful stories, full of diverse characters, come back from Disney corporate reviews shaved down to crumbs of what they once were,” the letter states. “Even if creating LGBTQIA+ content was the answer to fixing the discriminatory legislation in the world, we are being barred from creating it.”

UPDATE: Chapek and Disney’s statements that they have now seen the light (after days of immense backlash) and oppose Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” Bill is far too late, Extremist Florida Governor Ron DeSantis doesn’t and tells Disney to stuff it up their Magic Mountain and then goes on a strange rant of Disney’s connection to China.
