Texas Lt.Gov. Dan Patrick Calls Beto O’Rourke “Light in the Loafers” During Fox News Interview

During a Fox News interview yesterday, noted homophobe Texas’ Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick  used a term usually construed as an anti-gay euphemism to describe Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke.

“He is so light in the loafers he floats off the ground at times,” Patrick said during his Monday night appearance on Laura Ingraham’s show. Patrick, a Republican, also called the former El Paso congressman a “moron.”

Patrick is best known for his anti-LGBT bigotry because of the 2017 Texas legislative session where he “championed” the anti-transgender “bathroom bill” and who now is  pushing for a measure that would let licensed professionals discriminate against LGBT Americans on “religious grounds.”

Patrick went on Twitter Tuesday afternoon to try to cover his homophobia bigotry. The comment, he argued, signified that O’Rourke is a “lightweight with no public policy substance.”

I stand by my remarks on @FoxNews that @BetoORourke is a lightweight with no public policy substance. His views on the border are ridiculous. If anyone took a different meaning from one of my comments, I apologize. Let me reiterate — it was not intended.

Sure Jan Dan. But you meant “moron” right?
