  1. Around that time Ca voters were asked to support an amendment to allow the dismissal of openly Gay teachers. It failed. Anita only added fuel. We marched in the L. A. Pride parade with Act Up wearing orange dots yelling “Anita, we don’t want your son, we want your husband”! Those were the days!

  2. I remember this very well! That divorce was more than it appeared to be. Her husband was rumored to have been frequenting gay bath houses throughout their marriage and so it’s said was almost caught in a raid on one. one night!
