    My gay uncle and I were having a conversation not too long ago, and at
    the time he was playing Callas’ “O Mio Babbino Caro” ( I think). He thought
    at one time many in the gay community thought of her as an icon, similar to
    some gays today relating to lets say Cher, Madona or Lady Gaga.
