Passive-Aggressive Pope Francis Speaks Out Against LGBT Discrimination But Considers Gay Marriage “Intrinsically Disordered

Pope Francis on Friday released his 260-page “Apostolic Exhortation”, where he expressed opposition to “every sign of unjust discrimination” based on sexual orientation but it also contained no positive language about gay relationships and reverts back to the formula that same-sex relationships are relationships are “intrinsically disordered.” and he offered “sympathy” to Catholic families with gay relatives.

In the document Pope Francis denied any proposals to place gay unions on the same level as marriage, saying bishops found “there are absolutely no grounds for considering homosexual unions to be in any way similar or even remotely analogous to God’s plan for marriage and family.” And also called external pressure on churches to change their position saying that is “unacceptable” that “international bodies should make financial aid to poor countries dependent on the introduction of laws to establish ‘marriage’ between persons of the same sex.”

Entitled “Amoris Laetitia,” (“The Joy of Love”), the document will unveiled in dioceses around the world within the next week.
