How will you respond? February 22, 2016 | | Share with Friends Dear XXXXX, Does the president have the right to force your daughters or granddaughters to share a public restroom with a man? Do you think arrogant big-city bureaucrats should have the right to fine ordinary American business owners $250,000 because they don’t use the officially approved pronoun for people who, despite their biological sex, claim they are a different gender? Do you think government officials should have the right to punish a school for not allowing a male student to wear a mini skirt, high heels, and a pink wig to class? I need your support as the FRC team gears up to stop this explosion of government-sponsored, dangerous, radical attacks on morality, decency, and sanity—because they are ultimately attacks on your family. Your timely response and ongoing support will help Family Research Council (FRC) as we fight in Congress, the states, and the media to stop the government attack on biblical and traditional morality. Every FRC friend must understand what’s happening and stand up. The biblical truth of “male” and “female” is the cornerstone of society. It is the foundation of marriage and family. America cannot survive without living by these biological, psychological, and spiritual realities, can we? Here is what Jesus so plainly stated in Matthew 19:4, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning made them male and female…” Yet the President of the United States has declared war on these self evident truths . . . The unimaginable has become reality under President Obama. He has become an outspoken ally of the radical LGBTQ+ movement (that’s “Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Questioning”). A little over a year ago, his attorney general issued a directive, infamously known as the “Transgender Memorandum,” that ordered hundreds of radicalized government attorneys to sue municipalities, school districts, and businesses unwilling to make special accommodations for those who, despite their biological realities, see themselves as a different sex. With the president on board, it should come as no surprise to you that the mainstream media, Hollywood, and even major corporations are also advancing the cause of the sexual revolutionaries and labeling those of us who oppose it as bigots. Why are President Obama, the mainstream media, and the “progressive” elites pushing so hard to force the LGBTQ+ agenda on America? The answer is simple: POWER. The suppression of biblical truth creates moral confusion which strengthens the heavy hand of big government. Without God, something must fill the void. And that something is an all-powerful government that intrudes into every aspect of life. The threat to religious liberty in America is very real. And be forewarned: If religious freedom falls, so do all the other freedoms we cherish as Americans. It is not too late to stop the assault on morality and religious freedom if we take a stand now. The only way to stop evil is to stand up to it, to confront it with love and truth. FRC exists for one reason: to advocate for God’s truth. Your faithful prayers and financial support have already made a big difference. When Houston’s mayor tried to impose a citywide accommodation for those who consider themselves transgendered, FRC not only exposed this blatant abuse of power, but mobilized the voters of Houston to overturn the mayor’s mandate. When Chaplain Wes Modder was going to be drummed out of the Navy for sharing biblical truth in a private counseling session, FRC stepped in and helped save the career of this decorated officer. When Kim Davis, a county clerk in Kentucky, was jailed for refusing to sign her name to same-sex marriage licenses, FRC helped make her plight a front-page story, and Kim was released from jail. In the fight to preserve morality and religious freedom, FRC does more than any other organization to counter the propaganda of the mainstream media with the truth. FRC’s daily “Washington Watch” radio program wins the hearts and minds of Americans coast to coast by apprising them of how the actions of the Obama administration are hurting our country. If you watch any of the TV networks, you’ll notice that FRC is in the news more than ever before. After all, it was FRC that helped make religious freedom the key issue in this election year. And now, 82 percent of Americans agree that religious liberty should be protected. FRC is currently working with committed conservatives in Congress to oppose special rights for those who consider themselves transgendered at the expense of religious freedom. And we need you.
