UPDATE: Sunday 9/20/2015 – 8:00am. – It’s baaaack. But this time time with a re-write ending:
My name is Chris Routson we are from Middletown, the story above is true and was written with the help of a Friend. I don’t want to confuse anybody with the 3rd person reading of this account. It reads better that way was the only reason. Also I am in control of this page. The funds of this page represent the in-between jobs and bills gap that is needs to have ends meet for example, the house payment, gas and electric, insurance, and health needs such as prescriptions.
In other words. RIGHT WING WELFARE
UPDATE: Saturday 9/19/2015 – 1:10pm. – After reaching out to GoFundMe with the below information Routson’s Right Wing Welfare Campaign has been removed.
BOOYAH!
Right Wing Welfare Scam on GoFundMe: I Got Fired For Harassment and Anti-Gay Proselytizing At Work So Give Me $$$’s!
Another day, another so-called “Christian” scam.
Chris Routson of Middleton, OH admits was fired after repeated anti-gay proselytizing to lesbian and gay coworkers. After repeated warning from his boss Chris decided to continue preaching the anti-gay word because his warped version of “Bigot Jesus” as told to him by Ray Comfort, a New Zealand-born Christian “minister” and “evangelist” who has no formal training nor theological degree tole him “BJ” is the REAL boss of the steel plant and so he got fired. And because now that he was fired for his “faith” Routson wants you yto send him money.
Chris Routson was fired from his job as a steel worker after sharing his faith. He and his wife, Bekah, along with their two children are now without income.
Chris shared Ray Comforts new movie “Audacity” during a Facebook chat with a lesbian co-worker. He did this from his own home and while off the clock. He was called into the office the following day and was given a warning to stop communicating with that individual.
A few days later he was lovingly sharing his personal testimony, along with the gospel with another lesbian co-worker. She complained to management and Chris was sent home.
A few days later Chris was called into his manager’s office where he was told he was being fired. They denied his unemployment and offered no severance pay. The company also immediately cut off health insurance and payflex card.
Chris’ desire was to lovingly and gracefully share his faith. He didn’t single out homosexuality but said that all people need to repent and put their trust in Jesus. He never intended to make anybody feel uncomfortable and had no idea that he was putting his job (of 14 years) at risk.
According to Routson’s Facebook page he “LEFT” that job way back BEFORE March of 2015. So its very interesting that the beg is coming up now.
And according to the Department of Labor, Routson did indeed violate Workplace Harassment laws. So why is GoFundMe allowing his page to remain active?
If you have a moment PLEASE REPORT Chris Routson’s Anti-Gay Money Beg as a scam.
WE MUST STOP these hateful people from profiting on their anti-gay bigotry.
**NOTE: After seeing on his Facebook page that Routson’s departure date from his job was in March we contacted him to tell him him to tell him we were are of the fact. He has since deleted that post.
But we have a screenshot! (Note his post leaving his job is posted BEFORE the March 1 profile pic update. BUSTED!)
Bigots like this are starting to wear me down. There is so much to say but I just don’t have the energy.
Should’ve hovered over the timestamp of that announcement, just to rub it in his face.
I like your style!
And it is back again.
