Ronzoni Embraces Diversity As Barilla Steps In A Big Steaming Pile of Puttanesca
After yesterdays Brailla debacle when the the Chairman of the worldwide privately-owned company pasta company of the same last name , Guido Barilla told an Italian radio show that Barilla is a company that “likes the traditional family.” And therefore, you’re not going to see any gays in Barilla’s advertising. And if gays don’t like it, “they can always go eat someone else’s pasta.”
Meanwhile the Ronzoni Family of products has stepped forward embracing diversity, posting on their Facebook page the following message.
“Just like pasta, we believe families come in all different shapes, sizes, colors and orientations. We feel it is important to represent diversity in our advertising and will continue to do so in the future.”
Ronzoni products include: Ronzoni pasta, Prince, Creamettes, San Giorgio, Wacky Mac and Light & Fluffy Egg Noodles.
