DC Comics’ “Justice League of America” Moving North Will Become “Justice League of Canada”.

Justice league of Canada

Following the fallout from the eleven issue comic book story arc  Trinity War and “Forever Evil,” The  D.C. comic Justice League America which was introduced in 1960 as The Justice League and featured such notable comic book heroes as Superman, Batman,Wonder Woman, Flash , Green Lantern, and Aquaman  will be leaving American and moving North to Canada.

“In the spring, the current Justice League of America team goes through a dramatic change and some of the pieces that are left behind will evolve into this new Justice League Canada team.” said  writer Jeff Lemire.

In the official announcement which will be made today at the Fan Expo Canada in Toronto Lemire, a Canadian native wouldn’t reveal the roster of Justice League Canada, but promises it will be a “dream team” comprised of A-list heroes and a few obscure characters. He’ll also introduce a new Canadian hero. “I’m trying to make a character that reflects a real part of our cultural identity, who could be a real Canadian teenager,That’s what I’m really after with that.” Plus, he’s reintroducing Adam Strange, who in the New 52 is Canadian.

“This is still very much set in the regular Justice League universe and the team will still have some of the bigger named superheroes, but they will actually be located in Canada now, and there will be a couple of new members who are Canadian. So obviously as a Canadian, and as a Canadian storyteller, it’s something I’m very proud of.” added Lemire.

My question is:  Exactly how bad has America become when Superheros move to Canada, eh?
