In a video posted by Jamaican LGBT News, Police were called in to the Jamaican village of Green Mountain to save a group of five gay men who had been trapped inside a house by an angry mob after they had been accused of trying to “spread” their homosexuality to local youth and “suppossedly” one of the men for making comments that “gravely concerned” them:
As the story spread like wild fire throughout the community, the residents [sic] annoyance spilled over, the five (5) men and a vehicle belonging to them were barricaded. The five (5) men were rescued and escorted out of the community by police.
Jamaica remains high on the list of countries in which homosexual acts are illegal and violence runs rampant against its LGBT citizens.
