Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg  along with 700 of his employees marched in San Francisco’s Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Pride Celebration on Sunday morning.

About 15% of its workforce — all wearing special t-shirts designed for the event —  marched along with a decorated trolley during the parade.

Facebook’s bolstered presence at this year’s Pride reflects a push by Silicon Valley companies to champion gay rights in hiring practices,  Google had roughly 1,400 employees marching this year.

At NYC Pride Google held an ice cream event featuring treats from the Big Gay Ice Cream truck. Engineers also tweaked Google’s search engine so that a rainbow decoration emerges when a user looks up “gay.”
