MAZEL TOV! – Prop. 8 Plaintiffs Katami & Zarillo and Perry & Stier FINALLY Marry in California

After a very long hard fought fight Proposition 8 plaintiffs Kris Perry and Sandy Stier and Paul Katami and Jeff Zarillo were finally married in California yesterday.

Paul Katami and Jeff Zarillo  exchanged vows in an emotional ceremony at L.A. City Hall officiated by Mayor Villaraigosa  who said it best, “I don’t know about you but I’ve got goosebumps.”

Kris Perry and Sandy Stier had their marriage license in hand following an order by the 9th Circuit to lift an injunction barring same-sex couples from marrying in California and were married  by Attorney General Kamala Harris on the mayor’s balcony at City Hall in San Francisco at approximately 4:45 PT while the bronze bust memorial of Harvey Milk stood as witness to the historic event.

Congratulations to Paul & Jeff and Kris & Sandy for your courage and strength and for fighting for the civil rights of all LGBT Californians and for showing that individual actions can win our fight for equality.
