Disney Channel To Introduce Gay Couple On Hit TV Show

gay-Disney1

Disney seems to be extending the meaning of family friendly to not only include their theme parks but also their television programming. Here’s more:

Good Luck Charlie is currently in the process of casting the lesbian couple, who will appear as the parents of one of Charlie’s playdates. According to TV Guide:

When the kid arrives, the Duncans learn that Charlie’s pal has two moms. That’s fine, but the potential new friendship is put to the test as one mom chats with Amy, and the other is stuck listening to Bob’s dull stories … The episode will air in early 2014 as part of Good Luck Charlie‘s final season. Because Good Luck Charlie is coming to a close, the characters are only expected to appear in this one episode.

TV Guide’s article also hilariously notes that the storyline is being developed “under the consultancy of child development experts and community advisors,” by which I’m sure they mean that they’re watching hours and hours and hours of Degrassi, Pretty Little LiarsThe Fosters, and The Secret Life of the American Teenager.

Now that is definitely a step in the right direction.

  1. This is awful… There are a lot of different religions out there that believe same sex marriage is wrong And a lot of people are angry that this is happening. There goes my entire childhood of Disney! If this continues my children will not watch disney channel

  2. Every child has a mother and a father even gay people. Regardless whether children know their real parents or not we shouldn’t lie to them and brainwash them into thinking this is norma, when its not
