TLC’s show “17, 18, and now 19 Kids and Counting” “reality” show about the amazingly fertile Duggar clan, will return for a new season on April 2. And when it does eldest son Josh Duggar will be hard at work demonizing and trying to destroy millions of LGBT lives in his new job with the anti-LGBT Family Research Council hate group.
Duggar will be in charge of FRC Action, the organization’s lobbying arm, sources told BuzzFeed.
“FRC Action (formerly American Renewal), the non-profit and tax-exempt legislative action arm of Family Research Council, was founded in 1992 to educate the general public and cultural leaders about traditional American values and to promote the philosophy of the Founding Fathers concerning the nature of ordered liberty,” according to FRC Action’s website.
Josh Duggar (pictured above with Tony Perkins) has been given a senior executive position, inside the rabidly homophobic org, which has been officially labeled a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.
According to the Family Research Council, “homosexual conduct is harmful to the persons who engage in it and to society at large, and can never be affirmed” and it is “by definition unnatural, and as such is associated with negative physical and psychological health effects.
In February 2010, the Family Research Council’s Senior Researcher for Policy Studies, Peter Sprigg, stated on NBC’s Hardball that gay behavior should be outlawed and that “criminal sanctions against homosexual behavior” should be enforced and also In May also stated that repealing Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy would encourage molestation of heterosexual service members.
And those are some of the “nicer” things they have said.
For years the Duggars have linked to FRC, the American Family Association, Liberty Counsel, and a whole host of anti-gay groups via their website. And the family’s made no bones about being conservative Christians and anti-gay and surprise, surprise TLC and the Discovery network doesn’t seem to mind giving them a venue as long as its ratings are high.
