In a front-page editorial in L’Osservatore Romano, the Vatican’s “semi-official” newspaper, 64 year old “historian” Lucetta Scaraffia compared the idea of gay marriage to that of an “egalitarian utopia that did so much damage during the 20th century…deceiving humanity as socialism did in the past.” and compares same sex marriage supporters and advocates to 20th-century communists who wooed millions with their promise of perfect social and economical equality.
Scarsffia goes on to say that to equate a traditional marriage between a man and a woman with a union between homosexuals amounts to a “negation of truth,” which would undermine “one of the basic structures of human society, family,” she wrote.
Scaraffia, is a former feminist activist who later became a fervent Catholic, and has since often written in the Vatican newspaper against the issue of gay marriage and claims that “The Vatican has often intervened against discrimination for gay people,” she said “But many people don’t want to see it, they just want to pin it down as homophobic.”
Perhaps she’s talking about the “Reichskonkordat,” the political treaty between the Vatican and Adolf Hitler during World War 2 that stated that the vatican would turn a blind eye and not get involved as long as the Nazi’s left them alone and in the meantime Millions of Jews, Poles, Gypsys’ and Homosexual were put to death
Scaraffia it turns out is not a very good historian.

Hmm. So her way is that INEQUALITY creates the perfect social and economical equality.
Do people like her ever listen to what comes out of their bigoted mouths?
Well I will print on my newspaper (if I had one) Jim Equates Vatican with Nazi fascism. I equate the Vatican and its royal papacy with the suppression of truth and the rights of man. I will point out while the catholic dark ages produced nothing of value and hindered progress, the Arab world was flourishing with scholarship and artistic treasures. I will remind the world that Ratzinger was a member of the Nazi Youth party and his family were all card carrying Nazi’s. I will Suggest that Señora Scarsiffa come out of the closet and bring the pope with her that they that protest too much have something to hide. And will assure them it is ok and that gay love is a gift from god and I have the sensual experiences to share with them that will both titilate and erect their passions. And then asked her when she says “negation of truth” exactly what truth she is referring. If she references the Hebrew or the jesus stories I will ask her where she gets her scholarship from. What college? What theologians do you read Señora that are living today and not the guilt ridden Augustine or St Paul. And once she reveals how much she really know about the reality of what we know and can speculate with a good probability only – that is all ancient mythology and that the stories have been written and redacted over 3,000 years and we have only fragments that survived. The writer of the Torah was ironic and comedic and playful and not recording her reality and it got twisted and turned over 1,000 years until the Jesus years. The only stories written near the life of Jesus are the Mark stories and he portrays jesus as a very interesting man, but one who never claimed he was divine and the resurrection is a metaphor for the spirit of the dead we all carry with us. The rest is all politics. It’s about land, money, power, control and domination. And Vatican – who cares what you or your newspaper think. You are becoming more and more irrelevant and if jesus were alive he would turn your tables over too.
