There maybe a little integrity and sensitivity left on television after all as the Discovery Channel says it has not renewed “American Guns,” won’t air reruns from its past two seasons and will no longer feature Tea Party lunatic and gun advocate Ted Nugent and has kicked his crazy ass to the curb.

E! News reported that the network did not say whether the decision to cancel the show was  directly connected to last week’s mass shooting at Sandy Hook  Elementary School in Newtown, Conn but “American Guns” who wrapped its second season Sept. 5. The ratings hit for Discovery.

Raw Story website reported Tuesday a Discovery Channel representative confirmed Nugent will not be featured in future programs.

After Friday’s devastating massacre at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, the spokesperson said that Nugent would definitely not be returning to the Discovery Channel.

Nugent and his allies at the National Rifle Association (NRA) repeatedly claimed that his hour-long Discovery Channel special was actually a planned “series.” The Detroit native and tea party lunatic told Armed America Radio listeners in October to “expect that there will be at least a dozen shows a year.” The channel’s spokesperson confirmed that this was never actually in the works.

Last April Nugent went on record stating:  I’ll tell you this right now, if Barack Obama becomes the president in November again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next  year,”

Little did he know it was actually the unemployment line he was talking about.  Which are “entitlements” of course and as a card-carrying Tea Party member he doesn’t believe in.  But will be the first in line when it comes to applying and getting them.
