Cincinnati FOX News News Anchor Tricia Macke Calls Rachel Maddow An “Angry Young Man”

Tricia Macke has been with Cincinnati Fox19 News since the debut of the Ten O’clock News in 1993.  According to her bio on the Fox19 website she “tell young people every day.. if you want to achieve something in life.. you have to work hard for it!   As Abraham Lincoln said, “whatever you are, be a good one.”  I try.”

Well obviously Macke doesn’t try hard enough to be a decent human being and not a homophobic bigot.

Last month Macke, attacked MSNBC host Rachel Maddow out of the blue calling her an  “Angry Young Man” on her Facebook page (Macke scubbed her FB page clean of the posting but not before someone screenshot it)

When some of Macke Facebook followers responded to her offensive bigoted comments Macke replied flippantly you are right.  I’m sorry, I should’ve said “antagonistic.” and continued defending her remarks when another person responded that in the news business sexual orientation is irrelevant, Macke responded “I knew what I was saying”

Even in a lesser media market like Cincinnati, OH Tricia Macke referring to Rachel Maddow as a “man” because she is a lesbian in public on Facebook and then defending her comments  is completely uncalled for and unacceptable.

Macke not only owes an apology to Rachel Maddow, but also to her viewers, the LGBT Community of Cincinnati, and young LGBT people in Ohio and everywhere who are subjected to this kind of idiotic and unfair bullying and harassment on a daily basis.

Fox 19 must take swift action to condemn Macke’s remarks, and Macke should make a full apology and learn the lesson of professionalism.
