Westboro Baptist Church Member Gets His Comeuppance While Protesting Military Funeral for Gay Soilder
An unidentified Westboro Baptist Church member was jumped and tackled to the ground to the cheers of many while disrespecting the flag and the military funeral for openly gay Army Staff Sgt. Donna Johnson who died in a suicide bomber attack while on patrol in Afghanistan. She is survived by her wife Tracy Dice.
From the blog Guardian of Valor:
So at the funeral today for Fallen Soldier Sgt. [Donna] Johnson a Westboro member decided it would be smart to stomp on the American flag. A Soldier did not take kindly to that and broke through the line, hitting one of the protesters that was disgracing Old Glory. As he was being arrested, two other Soldiers rescued the flag. The first video was filmed bu a friend of mine, the person you see jumping around with the flag is also a buddy. The second video was made by another person there to protect the funeral it is a little clearer. The person you see jumping around right before the Soldier runs in and clocks the member is a friend of mine. The Soldier was not charged and later released.
Now I know that many of you will be taking the high road on this and twittering on about freedom of speech…..which is fine; but Freedom of Speech does come with a price., America like Rome is burning, the WBC, FRC, and their like seek to deprive us of our rights and demonise us by saying and doing any repulsive thing they can while hiding behind FOS; the Republicans have veered to the extreme right; and Huckabee, Hannity, and the rest now have their own hate pulpits. If these people want to use their FOS to spread hate and bile. Then they should also expect to face the consequences of thier actions by people who don;t like hearing what they have to say.
