Happy 39th Anniversary To San Francisco’s Castro Street Fair! – Video

Happy 39th Anniversary to San Francisco’s Castro Street Fair!

The Castro Street Fair was founded by Harvey Milk, and the group he led by the Castro Valley Association, in 1974 and has become one of largest  of the annual street events in San Francisco, behind San Francisco Pride in Civic Center, Folsom Street Fair south of Market Street, Pink Saturday in the Castro, and the Union Street Festival.

Check out scenes from the 1976 Castro Street Fair courtesy of the GLBT Historical Society’s YouTube Channel when men had body hair and the only gym equipment they ever used was in a bathhouse.

Thanks for the tip from the ever handsome San Francisco otter and Back2Stonewall Tech God @RoyMcKenzie
