AMTRAK Rides With PRIDE! – Introduces All-Inclusive LGBT Promotional and Advertising Campaign

Amtrak, which employs more than 20,000 people and  operates passenger service on 21,200 miles of railway track throughout the nation has launched a LGBT  promotional campaign that includes gay families.

The program titled  called “Ride with Pride” adds LGBT families to its current standard of  its discounted family travel program and becomes the first national passenger company to do so.

Amtrak will be publishing two versions of one ad, one with a picture of a male couple and another with a female couple, were distributed.  Both versions include the headline: Priceless Family Moments Are Now Affordable.  The ad goes on to promote Amtrak’s 50% off campaign for children age 2 to 15 who are traveling with an adult, and directs readers to its gay travel website Ride With Pride

“At Amtrak, diversity is not just a corporate buzzword, it’s a priority,” the company notes on the site. “We understand that valuing diversity is not only a good thing to do, but a business necessity beyond compliance that plays a vital role in customer service delivery and ultimately the success of our operations. Simply put, our business diversity philosophy means commitment to ensuring our company embraces a culture of respect and appreciation for differences and similarities of all people.”

Thank you Amtrak for standing up and coming out in support of LGBT families and the LGBT Community.

But part of me has to wonder how long before John Boehner and the vile RePUGNANTans will use this to demand ending funds for Amtrak?

  1. These are perfect for sitting out on the porch and watching the waves crash
towards the beach. Once they got hooked, the tobacco executives knew they’d have those kids as regular customers for about the next seventeen years.
Pictures of palm trees, orchids, a beach, Hawaiian architecture,
