Orthodox Greek Protestors Attack Gay Pride Parade In Thessaloniki Greece – Video

A Gay Pride Parade in northern Greece city of Thessaloniki came under attack when antigay protesters began throwing eggs, plastic bottles of water and would have physically attacked the 400 people who were marching in the city’s pride parade if Thessaloniki Police had not held them back.

In recent days, Anthimos, the senior Greek Orthodox cleric in Thessaloniki, had publicly criticized the planned gay pride parade. Anthimos, who only uses one name, is known for outspoken speeches on social and political issues.

No injuries were reported.

  1. Anthimos only uses one name because that is the case for all Orthodox Heiarchs. He is just sticking to Eastern Orthodox theology and doctrine which is the oldest and most traditional of Christianity along with the Roman Catholic Church.
