Oh the GOP wingnuts are going insane once again. But this time its not about Dan Savage.
Its because an LGBT advocate (well 2 actually) dared to give Ronald Reagans portrait the middle finger last week at the White House LGBT Pride Reception.
The photos were originally published by Philadelphia Magazine and then closet-case Matt Drudge (Yes, Matt Drudge is a big frackin Auntie Tom, closet-case homo) took it and ran with it posting almost a McCarthy-esque headline leading all the other wingnut sites to it.
The right-wing Weekly Standard went to town.
(Matthew) Hart posted his photo on Facebook with the caption, “Fuck Reagan.” [Zoe] Strauss simply posted hers without commentary.
“Yeah, fuck Reagan,” reiterates Hart one week after the reception. “Ronald Reagan has blood on his hands. The man was in the White House as AIDS exploded, and he was happy to see plenty of gay men and queer people die. He was a murderous fool, and I have no problem saying so. Don’t invite me back. I don’t care.”
Matthew Hart. I love you man. Because you are exactly right.
Ronald Reagan was and always should be remembered as the President who helped bring back poverty to the masses, the President who changed American foreign policy, by selling arms to Iran, and forwarding the profits to right-wing Central American dictators to help fund their death squads, and most of all as the President who IS GUILTY of Genocide and Murder against the gay community and is personally responsible for the deaths of thousands who died of AIDS
If the Pinhead Reaganites (Hellraiser joke) are bent out of shape for someone giving The Grim Gipper’s portrait the finger then its a good thing that I wasn’t invited to the Pride reception.

The activists who photographed themselves giving a PORTRAIT of Reagan the finger were at the White House at the invitation of President Obama. If for no other reason, they should have refrained from such narcissistic and self-indulgent behavior out of respect for the President who invited them, who ended DADT, and who will now be criticized for inviting such jerks to the White House.

Reel it in Hester Prynn. Reagan deserves no respect and its nothing more than a portrait that they made thier statement against. It has nothing to do with Obama. It had to do about Reagan and the fact that people rememeber that he was involved in the genocide of almost an entire generation of gay men.
Sorry Willky, you missed the point by a mile. They were there at the invitation of President Obama. Anyone with an ounce of class does not embarrass a gracious host! The White House had to issue a statement of disapproval because of all the outrage. This was just stupid… as well as handing fuel to the fanatics. They did not advance their cause one bit and it surely did not hurt Reagan…in case you have not heard…he is dead.
Wow you are so out of touch. The majority of Americans remember Reagan as the greatest president of the past century. AIDS had a task force assigned to it back in 1981 by the CDC in the first year Reagan took office. Look up Task Force on Kaposi’s Sarcoma and Opportunistic Infections (KSOI).
The only people to blame over AIDS is the partner that did not tell you they had it before your encounter or yourself for not using protection. It is called personal responsibility, have some.
1. The CDC is not a goverment run health agency and runs on private grants with some grants from the goverment.
2. The “CDC Task Force” was small, underfunded, and BEGGED for the funds needed to do more research. And were continually denied.
Here’s a dose of reality for you bub. I suggust you stop trolling the internet and pick up a book titled “And The Band Played On” that will actually educate you on the subject more than a quick Google search.
