Kentucky LGBT Group The Fairness Campaign Joins Protest Against Neo-Nazis At KY State Capitol

This Saturday (April 21, 2012) the  Neo-Nazi National Socialist Movement (NSM) will be holding a rally at the Kentucky State Capitol in Frankfort at 3 pm.  And one of the counter protest groups to greet them will be Kentucky’s own LGBT organization the Fairness Campaign,

NSM’s myriad positions of prejudice and hate include, “Only those of pure white blood may be members of the state… and  no Jew or homosexual may be a member.”

Chris Hartman of the Fairness Campaign states: We can never be silent in the face of racism, The intersections of oppression are made clear by the NSM, whose prejudice spans the entire spectrum of perceived ‘difference’ in our country—race, color, religion, nation of origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and more—all the unique identities that, woven together, form the brilliant tapestry of our great nation.”

Other groups that will be joining the protest against the NSM Rally include  the Kentucky Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression and Standing Up for Racial Justice

If you find yourself anywhere near Frankfort, KY on Saturday please stop by and stand with the Fairness Campaign against hate and prejudice.

  1. Why are jews so influential in LGBT activism in the West, while it’s virtually forbidden in Israel?
