No SOPA For You! – White House Kills SOPA – Wikipedia And Others Will Still Go Dark 1/17 In Protest Of PIPA

Well news has come from Washington via an unlikely ally, that of  SOPA opponent Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) confirmed today that the Obama administration’s opposition to SOPA has effectively killed the bill,  for now.  “The voice of the internet community has been heard. Much more education for members of Congress about the workings of the internet is essential if anti-piracy legislation is to be workable and achieve broad appeal.”

In a nutshell Obama’s opposition to SOPA means that John Boehner no longer has the votes to pass the bill with the Democrats and tea partiers standing against it and now with Obama’a and public opposition to SOPA  the bill too toxic for BONER (censor that motherfucker) and the House to take up.

The demise of SOPA is one thing but PIPA in the U.S. Senate (Protect IP Act) scheduled for a Senate floor vote on Jan. 24 and could easily sneak through under the radar thanks to Blue Dog (faux Republican) Democrats like Chuck Schumer.

In protest of PIPA Wikipedia will join Reddit.com, BoingBoing.net, IHeartChaos.com, and the entire Cheezburger Network, which will go dark for 12 hours on Wednesday.

Wikipedia will blackout all  3,848,305 articles in the English Wikipedia.
