Just one week after Garrett received the “Youth Leadership Award” from the Greater Metroplex Republican Club which was attended by GOProud founders Chris Barron and Jimmy LaSalvia, Logo’s A List:Dallas and GOProud (cast) member Taylor Garrett is once again claiming to be a victim of a hate crime because of his being a gay Republican.
According to Tucker (The Gay Basher) Carlson’s The Daily Caller which Garrett gave the “exclusive story” state they have photos provided by Garrett (which the The Caller DID NOT print with the article) they show the phrase about Ann Coulter keyed in large letters across his car and show Garrett with a bloody ear and blood covering his white shirt.
A cast member of the gay reality TV show “A-List Dallas” tells The Daily Caller that he was punched to the ground and bloodied Friday night by someone vandalizing his car because he’s a gay conservative associated with commentator Ann Coulter. Taylor Garrett, a Republican consultant in Texas who stars in the reality series on the channel LOGO TV, said in an interview that he was attacked outside a birthday party in Dallas after finding a vandal scratching “F–k Coulter” on the side of his car. Garrett said the incident reflects a troubling mindset. The Democrats want me to live on their plantation as their slave, because I’m a gay person,” he said. “And I refuse to do that.”
“I was at a party and one of my friends arrived and I had a present for him, so I went back to my car to get the present,” he recalled. “When I walked out to my car, I saw someone squatting next to my car.”
After asking the vandal what he was doing, Garrett said the large man stood up and decked him in his left eye. Garrett fell to the ground. He also scraped up his body by falling into some glass that was next to his car, Garrett said. The attacker got away.
IF this is true, its a horrible thing. and of course we denounce it as anyone in thier right mind should. Physical violence should never be used against anyone.
But the question remains. Is Taylor Garrett and GOProud turning into “The Boy’s Who Call HomoCon Hate Crimes”?
You may remember last month shortly after meeting with Jimmy LaSalvia who had his own “supposed” hate crime that Garrett claimed that a rock was thrown through his window because he’d dined with Ann Coulter and LaSalvia. That incident, which was conveniently timed to coincide with the debut episode of The A List: Dallas, and was widely derided across the gay blogosphere as having been staged. The show’s producer even tweeted congratulations to Garrett for creating a buzz for the show with his claim.
In full disclosure I read about this story on Saturday night, and I will stress one again that IF it is true it’s horrible and I denounce unprovoked physical violence against anyone, no matter how loathesome they are.
But this time once again there are many strange aspects to Garrett’s claim.
Garret claims that “”(he) went out to his car to get a birthday present that he left in it and a large man stood up and decked him in his left eye. Garrett fell to the ground. But The Daily Caller claims that the pictures that they have, (and that they did not originally publish with the article) show “Garrett with a bloody ear and blood covering his white shirt.”
After iniitially reading about the “incident” last night and Garrett’s claims, I checked Garrett’s Twitter account as well as both Jimmy LaSalvia’s and Chris Barron’s of GOProud. Garrett hadn’t tweeted in 24 hours, and LaSalvia and Barron had both only tweeted once about what had happened to Garrett and that was HOURS AFTER The Daily Caller printed the story which is very unlike them. And The Caller is also coincidentally where Chris Barron wrote an article called the “Gay Gestapo” just the day before whining about the intolerance of the “gay left”
At this point who knows what to believe and I leave it up to you.
Is this a “HomoCon Hate Crime” or is it just a Con?
Violence against ANY LGBT individual is wrong. But claiming violence happened to you to garner sympathy and promote your political agenda is hundred times worse.And if that in the end turns out to be the case, Taylor Garrett, Jimmy LaSalvia, Chris R. Barron and GOProud are going to have a lot to answer to from the LGBT community.
I call bullshit. The EXIF metadata doesn’t jive with this douche’s story. How, if this happened Friday night, then why does the metadata say that the photos were taken Friday morning at 11? Something’s not right here…sounds like a publicity stunt again to me.
